She felt like moving, getting out of the house and just walking around. The black haired female wasn't fond of just sitting around unless she had to, and right now, she didn't have to sit around. So, Azuki decided to get up and go to the park. Well, to the bridge at least. Before she had left, Azuki had gotten her cloak. A red and black cloak with a hood that her mother had made her when she was little. Once she had found it, Azuki left the four story building the pack lived in and headed towards the park bridge.
With her hood up, and her mind wondering, Azuki wasn't entirely paying attention to what was going on in her surrounds. Even when she got to the bridge, she only watched where she was putting her feet until she crossed it and sat down on the other side. Sighing, Azuki pulled her hood back and watched the river flow with ease under the bridge. Her mind drifted off, off to the day her mother was murdered.

[glow=white,2,300]Eclipse Holt [/glow] What part of 'born wolf' don't you understand? Eclipse stepped onto the bridge, he pulled his belt tight, clicking it and glancing up as he heard the faint rustle of cloth out here in the open. Quickly, he glanced up, eyes glowing golden while he tried to make his mind focus. A clawed hand came up, wiping blood from his lips, trying to make himself more presentable to whatever human had stumbled upon his territory. The wind wasn't playing in his favor and he could feel the breeze brushing at his back, blowing toward the person sitting on the bridge. If he hadn't just come out of the change, he might have been able to piece together who it was quicker, but timing just wasn't in his favor at the moment.
Boots clumped against the planks of wood as he moved toward the female, judging by his clothing. As he drew closer, he saw the red and black cloak that fanned out behind the female and shook his head. "Azuki . . . What are you out of the house?"
he growled, fangs lengthening as he snapped in the direction of the girl. She was quiet a bit younger than himself, just recently joining his pack and was currently part of his Hunter unit. She was sweet girl, trust worthy, but he had heard that she had a bit of a temper; a worthy female, at least when she grew up a little bit. Stepping closer, Eclipse placed a blood tipped clawed hand at his temple and pushed the ebony hair from his focusing gaze. His head shook as he glared at the girl, not really sure what he was suppose to do with her. She was another orphan in his pack and it seemed that that was the theme of all his wolves. It was sad, but they seemed to form a perfect enough family bond.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

She was so out of it that she didn't hear him come up. When he spoke, Azuki couldn't help but jump, then she realized who it was. It was Eclipse, the Alpha of her pack, and she could smell blood on him. Blinking, Azuki looked up at him and met his gaze. "I didn't want to just sit around and do nothing Eclipse." she said, being honest. Azuki didn't like sitting around and doing nothing, especially inside a house. Outside she could smell things and watch creatures and humans just walk around without fearing about anything just about. It was the one thing Azuki liked to do more than anything.
Looking away, she looked back at the river, but stayed where she was. It wasn't her fault that she was the type of person who wanted to be outside instead of being stuck in a house. She had grown up in a house her entire life, and she didn't really want to be stuck in one again. Absently, a hand when up to her pulled back hair and twirled a strand of her hair, it was a thing she always did. "Not trying to be rude, but I think you should get rid of the blood on your hands. You know, just in case a human did happen to come around." she said softly, just enough for him to hear her.

[glow=white,2,300]Eclipse Holt [/glow] What part of 'born wolf' don't you understand? And now he remembered why he didn't like pups. Growling, Eclipse wanted to just reach out and swat at the female, but kept himself under control. The humans, they were the enemy, not his own pack. She would learn quickly that she had to earn her place in the pack and it took longer than a year. "What do humans call it . . . . Woman's work! You could have done woman's work," he stated, walking slowly away from the female.
No, he wasn't sexiest, he had spent the better part of his youth in wolf form or in the orphanage. Gender roles were completely unimportant to him, but he had heard what the males at the Steel Mill called "woman's work" when talking about their females, so there had to have been something she could have done at the house. . . . But then again, could he blame her? He hadn't wanted to stay indoor today, either, but that had also cost him a little more of his humanity for his boredom.
Eclipse had been about to walk away, leave the little girl alone and let her enjoy her private time but she had to open her muzzle. Growling, he turned back toward the pup, lips curled as a mental twitch went off in his head. "The only human that is within sight of us is no longer alive,"
he growled, but he was already moving toward the edge of the water under the bridge. Bending down, the Alpha Male tensed muscles in his legs to hold him up as he leaned over and placed his hands in the water and began to scrub the blood from his hands. Taking a deep breath, he cupped his hands and threw water on his face and scrubbed a little harder than he had at his hands. He took a deep breath and stayed crouched at the water's edge, the sun glistened down upon his bare back. He was so tired.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

She listened to him. Woman's work? Really was that the best he could do? She sighed, she couldn't blame him for wanting her to do something in the house. She was - after all - just a pup in his pack. "I know what I could have done in the house. I was stuck in one for 17 years..." she whispered, hoping that he wouldn't hear it but then again - why would he really care? Out of the corner of her eye, Azuki saw Eclipse turn and about to walk away from her but the instant she had opened her trap..she knew he wasn't going to walk away.
At first, she closed her eyes that image just running through her head, but then it vanished and the image of her mother came into her mind. Quickly she opened her eyes, just in time to see Eclipse walk over to the edge of the water. She heard his growl and felt bad about even mentioning the blood. "I didn't mean for you to actually go and do that..it was just a suggestion.." she said, looking away from him and pulling her knees up to her chest. She knew that she was having a bad start with him, she should've kept her mouth shut but Azuki knew better. It wouldn't be helped either way.

[glow=white,2,300]Eclipse Holt [/glow] What part of 'born wolf' don't you understand? She just didn't know when to stop. This little whelp was enough to cause him to want to snap at her. As he knelt at the water's edge, he cracked his neck to the left and then the right, the sound horribly loud in his audits. When she spoke a second time, he couldn't help but turn and glance up at the female. He took a deep breath and slowly began to stand. His arms crossed over his chest and toed the edge of the water with his steel-toed boot.
Taking another deep breath, he slowly turned and looked up at the girl, taking in the sight of her. He hadn't really known her parents very well, but he had seen her mother around the town whenever she came out of their home. Sighing, he watched as she drew her knees up to her chest and seemed to draw into herself. He growled, snapping his teeth together, before walking back toward her and basically dropped down onto the ground beside her.
"What's on your mind, little one?" he asked, not looking at her, but laying all the way back til his back touched the grass and he crossed his arms behind his head and seemed to instantly relaxed. Nature was his favorite place, and any time he got a chance to relax he would take it.

Azuki heard everything around her, even wished most of it to just disappear. And most of it did, but then, some of it didn't. Keeping her icy blue eyes on the water, she listened as Eclipse moved about, even when he cracked his neck. She heard it alright, but it didn't bother her as much as you would think. If he felt like doing something like that then fine, let him. Slowly, all the noises vanished and she seemed to zone out, disappear into herself. Azuki had always done that when her mother was still alive and on rare times, it would even happen at the home she lived in now.
But then, she heard something and blinked. Looking over she saw Eclipse had moved beside her and he had asked what was on her mind. Azuki didn't really think of him as being the caring type, especially to a pup like her. Blinking again, Azuki looked away and drew her cloak in closer to her body. She felt safe with it around her, after all it was the only thing she had left of her mother.
"Just thinking of my mom.. Nothing to important." she said, not wanting to make him get mad and growl at her again. "And..I'd rather you not call me little one...even if I am a pup to you." she said. Instantly, she covered her mouth, why had she said that? There went her trap again not wanting to shut up when it should. "Sorry.' she mumbled around her hand.

[glow=white,2,300]Eclipse Holt [/glow] What part of 'born wolf' don't you understand? Suddenly, Eclipse busted out laughing, one hand sliding from behind his head to cover his flashing orbs. It was rather odd to laugh, something he hadn't done in a long time, but the pup had such a mouth on her that he thought was refreshing. Settling down, he to press his fingers to the bridge of his nose as he lay back against the ground. "Forgive me pup . . . I just . . . I miss the banter of young bloods,"
he snorting as he shook his head. He shook his head, this time in a negative response. "There is no reason to be sorry. We . . . We . . ." he sighed, not really sure where he was going with that, and in the end, he simply stopped talking, mind trying to think of where he truly was going with that statement. That was one of the side effects of having spent so much time in wolf form and running wild. His mind tended to skip and it wasn't always a good thing.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Azuki looked over at him when he started to laugh. He ws laughing! And more than likely at her, but still he was laughing! Since she had joined his back, Azuki had never heard Eclipse laugh or even smile to begin with. She blinked at him and shook her head, "It's better to ask for permission than forgiveness, Eclipse." Remembering the saying from a book she had read...or was it from the movie. She shrugged, and turned her attention back at the river. "But really, you don't need to ask for my forgiveness...I'm just a pup anyways." she said.
After a while, she put one of her legs down and leaned back on her hands. Her pulled up hair falling from her cloak. It was times like these that she did enjoy the weather and could wear her hair up more than usual. Glancing over at Eclipse, her curiosity rose. "We what?" she asked.

[glow=white,2,300]Eclipse Holt [/glow] What part of 'born wolf' don't you understand? "We are wolves. We don't ask for forgiveness," he growled, shifting his position and sitting up with his arms braced in a similar position as Azuki. "Azuki . . . You need to get out more. Go into town and interact with humans," he grunted, not really the biggest fan of it, but it was something that they couldn't over look. As werewolves, they were a pack family by nature and they were a close-nit family.
Taking a deep breath he looked up at the sky, not really sure when the last time he had done so. It had to have been at least a couple of months if not a year or two. As it was he enjoyed just sitting here for the moment and enjoying the day.

"Well, I know where are wolves. It was just a quote I took from a movie." she said, rolling her eyes a bit. Then when she heard him say to go and interact with humans, she went silent and stood up. "I'd rather not. Last time I did... It didn't turn out to well." she said, kicking at the ground. The last time she had befriended a human she had gotten hurt because of and now she didn't have a mother.
Pulling her hood over her hair, Azuki looked over at the river. "What's the use of befriending a human, when sooner or later, they'll hunt you down and try to kill you because your different." she said, not looking at the Alpha. She was speaking from experience. How else would she know what it was like to feel betrayed? Especially, by a human boy that died for her.. "I won't befriend another human."

[glow=white,2,300]Eclipse Holt [/glow] What part of 'born wolf' don't you understand? Watching as Azuki stood, Eclipse watched her with a predator's gaze. Yes, he knew a little about her past, he was Alpha and there was no way she could have joined his pack without him knowing something about her. He knew about the boy, knew about what had happened because she befriended a human, but he normally didn't say something he didn't mean unless there was a strong drink in his system.
By the time she was putting on her hood, Eclipse was on his feet, dusting his rump off. As Azuki started talking again, he listened, listening was something he was good at. And as she finished, he was moving up behind her, clawed tipped fingers reaching out and resting on her hooded head. Years of running as a wolf had left him with the inability to completely change back if he didn't force himself, and when around pack, he rarely forced anything that he didn't demand from the others. "You are not the only one that has felt that pain,"
he whispered, stepping around and past her, letting his fingers slip from her head without harming her. "Whether you loved him or not, doesn't mean that you can't befriend another," he stated stepping onto the bridge and then looking back at her. "Not all humans will kill, some understand us . . . That is what we are working toward. The people of Eden Town, in some cases, have accepted us and we protect them as they protect us. So don't judge all of them to harshly . . . If you do that, what's to say there is a difference between you and the Werewolf Hunters?" he asked, honey orbs flashing as he held out a clawed hand to Azuki. "Let's head back to the den," he stated, missing the company of his wolves for some reason. Standing on the bridge, clawed hand stretched out, he waited for the young woman before him to take his hand and head home. At least there, even though he knew she didn't want to be inside, she would feel loved and accepted.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Feeling his hand on the top of her head, bad her move a bit but she didn't move from him. For some reason, she enjoyed his touch, even if she couldn't feel it because of her hood. Silently, she listened to him and watched him move to the bridge. When he turned to look at her, her icy blue eyes looked away from his. Could she really befriend another human? Was it really that easy to forget that human boy she befriended and let him die just to save her life from his father? A shiver went through her body at the memory.
Blinking, Azuki looked over at Eclipse, maybe she would try it again. Nodding, she walked over to him and put her hand on his. "Maybe... I can try again.." she whispered, walking carefully over the bridge. Maybe... It won't be so hard to find a friend that I can trust.. she thought, slowly getting silent. Could she trust a human again?

[glow=white,2,300]Eclipse Holt [/glow] What part of 'born wolf' don't you understand? Taking the pup's hand, he tugged her a little, giving her a gentle reminder that he was here, but let her lead them over the bridge. He enjoyed the company of this little one. She was sweet, kind of reminding him of his youth and the friends he had made. "When I was about your age, I had a friend who fell in love with a human girl. She lived here in Eden Town, with us, until one day her father found out about her love. Her step-father pulled a gun on him and in an act of loyalty she jumped in front of the bullet,"
he started, stopping just shy of stepping on a rotting board and standing in the middle of the bridge. In his mind, he could see the day playing out before his honey orbs. He saw the gun barrel pointed at his friend, the human girl running toward him. So many things had run through his mind that day. If the bullet had hit home in his friend's chest, he would have lost a friend, but also lost a potential challenger to his claim as Alpha Male. It had crossed his mind, youth was a fickle thing and he had been a bit of a hot-head, but in the end, things had played out that still bothered him to this day.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Azuki felt the tug and smiled a bit, before leading them across the bridge. Listening to him talk was soothing to her, it calmed her nerves about the idea of finding a human friend again. But then, she started to pay attention to what he was saying. When he stopped, Azuki looked over at him, "Let me guess, the bullet it the girl and the girl died, am I right?" she asked, knowing all to well about a human jumping in front of a bullet for a werewolf they grew to love.
Of course, Azuki didn't know that he loved her until he gave that crooked smile at her that she adored and told her to run before she was shot to. I wish he was still here..maybe then he would be able to help me.. she thought, the memory of the fallen boy she had returned to sketched into her mind until she went to the grave. How she wished that she could've been the one laying on the floor and a hole in her chest from the bullet and not him.
