Lance was running through the forest, supposedly checking out the territory. Though, sadly there was this squirrel that he felt was following him and he was in the process of catching it in the act.
He raced through the trees, his signature red coat zipping through the undergrowth before he suddenly stopped. He slowly turned, eyes watching as the squirrel raced across a trunk. He lowered his head, doing his best to stay out of sight before suddenly leaping. He let out a triumphant bark, catching the squirrel in his mouth with ease…before landing haphazardly onto the grassy plains.
Not smooth…he thought, before a mixture of scents drifted into his nostrils. His head perked up, and he felt his body moving towards the other werewolves fast. He could smell Lucas with Eclipse, and that just put him into a panic.
Lucas! He called, suddenly bursting from the trees. He hadn’t realized just how close the others were though, and managed to skid to a halt in front of Eclipse. He paused, turning his head between the bunch as it clicked into his mind that nobody was fighting. Oh…well shoot. He dropped the squirrel that was still in his mouth, standing up and shaking. You all nearly gave me a heart attack. Don’t you know there are Hunters out right now? Why on earth are there pups out here?

She was still looking at the ground when another male showed up. He was Azu's alpha. Her body moved away from the two of them and more towards her own. She pricked her ears listening as Azu spoke with Eclipse about saving her from her hunter. 'Its true...' she spoke softly slightly putting herself behind Lucas before finishing 'That hunter would have killed me if it weren't for her' Her eyes went up to Lucas as he spoke with the other alpha and then his eyes caught hers and she flattened her ears saying 'No it won't...'
Looking away Saniyah sighed and sat down. All she wanted to do was have fun. Not have all the adults upset. 'Lucas...it's boring back at home. There are no other pups in the pack that I can play or hang with. And Cyrus isn't the best person I can follow' she said to her alpha. She scoffed the ground and then jumped to her paws as another male showed up obviously thinking Lucas and Eclipse were about to fight. 'Besides I go off on my own lots of times....' she trailed off saying 'Whoops' and took a step from Lucas slightly wagging her tail as she realized she just told on herself.

Watch your muzzle, pup, he growled, stepping toward her. But he couldn't deny it, it was the right and honorable thing to do when it came to helping another werewolf. Shaking his head, he turned his attention to Lucas. Taking a deep breath, he shook his head. No, your pup isn't the only one that caused a problem. Both of them were in the wrong for running off, but that is why they are pups and we adults,
[/color] he stated, growling low under his breath. With the sudden arrival of the new wolf, Eclipse almost reached out and grabbed him by the ruff, yet it seemed that the loner seemed to know the Validus Alpha Male. Snarling his nose, he stepped away from the loner, grumbling under his breath before turning back to Azuki. Come on pup, it's time to go back to our home. Say good bye to your friend . . . Azuki backed away when Eclipse snapped at her muzzle, and held back a growl. She listened to him speak to Lucas and then her. Her eyes going to Sani, I'll see you later Sani." she whispered, giving her a friendly nudge on the shoulder. Turning around, she took off before Eclipse could even say another word to her. Azuki grumbled under her breath, and right now she wasn't quite fond of Eclipse anymore.

Lucas nodded, That is true. he agreed, and his gray eyes turned to the pup. He watched as Azuki left, She is a stubborn pup. Good luck with her Eclipse. he said, before putting his attention on Saniyah. Then he heard his name and turned to Lance. Don't worry Lance. We are far enough to where they won't find us, but close enough that we should get home. he barked, looking at his scout and pup. We will talk about this later Saniyah. |

Lance had sat down, his rump making a small thud before watching the scolding from a safe distance as his tail wagged happily. Upon being told to not worry, all signs of tension had left his lean body. His tongue was hanging from the side of his mouth, and he had the squirrel in front of him. He wasn't the type to participate in scolding, and tended to stay out of the alphas way when he wasn't needed. He would have left, but with the hunters out he felt there would be more safety in numbers. He wasn't the best at fighting, but years of running away had honed his abilities to sense danger.
Until the squirrel twitched. His head snapped down, paws smacking the small body in a frenzy. IT LIVES!!! he thought to himself before chomping down on it again.

It was obvious she was going to be stuck at the inn for a while now. She watched as Eclipse talked to Lucas and then told Azuki they should get home. Her head down she felt Azu nudge her shoulder and tell her bye. 'Bye....' she said softly lifting her paw to through the air waving. Her yellow eyes watched her take off and then she looked at Lucas as he talked to Lance, obvious another member of the pack. This would be Saniyah's first time meeting him. But she was in no mood to say hello to him at the moment.
Blinking she waved her tail across the ground listening to him say they would discuss about the subject of her going off on her on later. 'But Lucas...' she started before standing up and then turning away to follow after him. Pausing she glanced at Lance as he attacked the squirrel he had caught again. 'I can't do anything...!' she growled taking off past Lance and Lucas back home. Though she knew it wouldn't be long before she would find another way of sneaking off again. Besides she had a human clique to control.

Lucas knew that Ice was a stubborn girl, didn't get well with others unless it was him and probably wouldn't like what he was doing but she would have to get over it...quickly. Lance stood up, now satisfied with the squirrel being gone. He noticed the others leaving, and trotted after to follow them back. He kept a small distance behind Lucas as he continued to speak to the pup.
His ears were lopsided, showing he had no interest in joining in the conversation at the moment.

As she raced to get back home Lucas caught up with her and stopped her. 'What?!...I get it!...I'm not supposed to be out alone...' she growled sitting down. Her eyes closed as she turned her head away from him. 'Let's make a deal, Saniyah. You can leave the inn, but you have to help my sister when she goes hunting.' she heard him say. Her ears pricked as she opened her eyes saying 'Hunting?!' Her ears flattened. She knew she wasn't any good at hunting. She never was. Her meals were brought to her when she was with the hunter she used to help. But she sighed hearing him ask was it a deal. 'Fine....but do I have to do everything she says?...'
Saniyah wasn't always the kind of pup to follow what others told her to do. Of coarse she could see it where it had gotten her so far.

When she growled at him, he couldn't help but growl back at her. She was a bit stubborn and on the wild side, which reminded him of Ice. Seeing her ears prick up, but some shine into his gray eyes, and nodded when she said hunting. Not everything, but she will help you hunt for the pack when you get older. he said, sitting down himself. I will let you and her meet before I allow you two to disappear together. he added, smiling slightly. |

"Did I hear something about hunting?" Lance had still been following, his tail wagging lazily. It was obvious he was bored and lacking in something better to do. Despite his lack of interest in fighting, Lance was an excellent scout and did enjoy going on hunts with the others.
"Would she be allowed to explore with me as well?" Lance adored pups, as his personality tended to be a little childish and random.

Listening to Lucas say she wouldn't have to everything was a bit of a relief but she rolled her eyes saying 'Hunting when I'm older?....I've never been good a hunting, Lucas. Tracking...yes. But hunting I don't think so.' She sighed looking away 'Most of my meals were brought to me by the hunter that had me tracking our kind down for him' Her ears pricked at her own words then flattened not sure. She hadn't told anyone not even her sister of what she had been doing when she hadn't joined Validus yet. She was still young and couldn't run away then quite yet. Stepping back she had heard Lance's question but payed no attention to it. Before she knew it she was off again. Fear in her eyes she wasn't sure what Lucas would say or do at the little point into her past before she was within the pack.

Lucas looked over to over to Lance and nodded his permission. Then his attention went back to Saniyah. "Ice is good with tracking to. So, if you two want to hunt and track that is fine with me." he said, before she took off. Sighing, the Alpha went after her. He had known some of her past. Hearing about the hunter that had her tracking down werewolves anywhere near them. Lucas wasn't mad but he kept his eye on her constantly at times, but he was becoming more trustworthy with the little pup.
When he caught up to her, he stayed at her side and talked. "I know about the Hunter, Saniyah. I'm not mad, or upset. You are still part of my pack, part of the family within the pack. That will not change." he said, giving the pup a little nudge on the shoulder as he ran next to her. He felt like a father or even a brother to her sometimes. |

She heard Lucas say that he knew a bit about her past and that he wasn't mad. And that she was still apart of the pack...the family. She looked at him slowing down as she said 'You knew the whole time?' In a way the pup was relieved to know that somebody knew about her past. Slowing down more to a walk she sighed and stopped sitting down saying 'I was afraid of letting anybody know about that. I was afraid that you would kick me out. I didn't want to have to go back to that hunter'

When the Alpha saw her slow down, he did as well, and nodded at her question. "I try to learn about some of the past of the pack's members. Otherwise I wouldn't know who to trust and who not to trust other than my own blood related family." he said, slowing down to a walk himself. Of course, he had always trusted Ice, Lance and even Cyrus, but at first it had been hard for the Alpha Male to trust the pup before him. He had learned of her history, of the only part that matter to him and the pack. The hunter. At first, he wasn't sure if he should allow her to join, but Lucas took his chances and let her. Now, she had proved worthy enough to have his trust. When Saniyah stopped, so did Lucas and he listened to her. "I won't kick you out because of your past. It's the present and the future I look at, Saniyah." he said, rubbing the pups shoulder like he would to his little sister. She really was like a little sister to him. |
