At the threat of it turning into a scar, Lance managed to sit still and stop flailing. "Would I lose my head if it got infected, like you would lose your arm?" he questioned, half serious as he also tried to distract himself from the stinging.
He didn't fight back as she man-handled him, "You would probably be a no-nonsense caretaker if you had to babysit the pups."

Ice sighed and shook her head, "No you won't lose your head and I won't lose my arm." Ice would eventually take care of her am, whether it was no or later in the month. Pain was something she had gotten used to and it was something that she actually enjoyed other than hunting. When she had killed a hunter, she used a knife and it was in last minutes of his life that he showed his true nature. Ice had nearly left him there. Left him to defend for himself against anything other than wolves, but he had tried to shoot her again and by instinct she turned and killed him,
"I don't like pups. But right now I have no choice. Lucas has one hunting with me just because of a deal they made." she grumbled. How dare her brother do that to her. Make her watch a little pup without even asking her. It pissed her off completely, but she had taken it to her reponsibility and agreed with him.

"I don't mind pups too much. I don't take it as a babysitting approach though, since they mostly just want to have fun. You just have to know how to keep them occupied." he did like kids, though with his personality he tended to be a little childish at times. It was all in good fun, and when it came down to it he did a good job at keeping them out of trouble.
"Well, that pup is going to have a great teacher at least. Your brother wouldn't have assigned the pup to you if he didn't think you could do it, right?"

She listened to him as she worked on his head injury. She could smell his blood and even the dried up blood, but it didn't bother her. At first it would've but somewhere in the mixture, Ice was smelling her own. "I never liked people much. I was more into weapons." she said nodding towards her collection hanging over her bed. She remembered how she had gotten each weapon. Who she had gotten it from, where she had gotten and why she had it to begin with. Sometimes, her room scared even Lucas.
"He knows how I am, especially with pups. But its my duty to serve and protect him, so I will." she said, removing the rag from his no longer bleeding head. She got up and went into the kitchen and got all of the blood that got soaked into it out. "You don't need to bandage it. Just don't touch it and you'll be fine." she said, putting the rag in the skin and forgetting her own injury at the moment.

"Thanks, Ice! And if Lucas gives you trouble just call me over!" He always found a way to make light of things. He stood, feeling light headed suddenly before sitting back down. Oh, looks like he had gotten hit harder than he originally thought.
"Bring the kit over here, and let me treat your arm. Pwetty pwease?"

"Anytime. You're part of the family, and I look after family." she said, "Plus, if Lucas gives me any problems, it won't take long. He can't stay mad at his own little sister." she added, smiling a bit. She watched him stand up before sitting back down. "Tsk Tsk. You need to sit down and let your head settle before you even try to stand." Then she sighed and unwrapped her arm. It wasn't bad, not as bad as the scar she had around her neck. "Nah, I'll be fine. I'm not completely helpless Lance."

His head tilted in confusion. When had he said she was helpless? If he had even thought that, he wouldn't have bothered calling her about the intruders. Seriously, there was a limit to stubbornness and pride before it turned into stupidity. Not that he would voice that out loud, she'd probably whack him in the head.
He didn't think he could afford another smack.
He took the time now to look around her room more carefully. His house was covered in photos instead of weapons. "I feel like I'm in an armory."

Ice smiled, "These are my prized possessions. And also, the only reason no one tries to come into my room. I believe you and Lucas are the only two that have ever been in here, other than myself of course." she said. Ice had walked over to a bedside table and pulled out her dagger that she had taken with her. She had cleaned it before they left and now, it looked just the same. Ice sat down on her bed, admiring her dagger. "That's my favorite. I call it the Black Storm." she said, tapping her finger on the tip.

He was slightly afraid at that small fact. Does this mean he wouldn't be allowed to live, after being the only one not related to her to enter this room?
What would Lucas do to him?
"I just have what I need, but I didn't have the ability when I was younger to collect them like this. It was more do with what you have, and don't worry about what you don't." he wasn't interested in the dagger.

Ice looked over at him. She felt fear coming off of him slightly, and she chuckled a bit. "Don't be afraid of me Lance. I like you so you're good." she said, putting down the dagger and sitting across from him. She shrugged at him, "Well, living with Lucas my whole life, I tried to get some things I found interesting." she said, glancing around. Ice really did love her collection, but sometimes she knew it scared many people away from her.

"I traveled a lot when I was a pup. My family is still missing, but I took a lot of pictures. Somehow I managed to save all of them, and that's what I have in my place." he offered, "I don't really worry about being attacked too much. Everyone thinks I'm harmless, and I get along with everyone."

She listened to him. He had a family missing and she felt pity for him. She knew how he felt, someway she did know what it was like to loose family. She had lost her mother to a car accident, and a father that she didn't quite remember. And now, all she had was Lucas, the only family she really had other than the pack. She smirked however when he said everyone thought he was harmless, "Well, you sure weren't harmless today. You have a battle wound to prove it." she said, smiling slightly.
"I know what it's like to lose your family. Lucas and me lost our mother in a car accident and I don't remember much of my father. I just know that he loved me and cared about me a lot, no matter how I had acted." she said, her soft side escaping. Ice had dropped her gaze and sighed, "If you need anything. You can always call me and I'll help you. You're family to me and Lucas, that won't change."

He looked at her confusedly. He hadn't been looking for sympathy, and it seemed almost strange coming from Ice. "Oh, I'm fine now! I have the pack after all! My mother I know is dead, but I'm not sure if my father and brother are alive. Even if they were, the chances of them being here is slim. I looked all over the world for them."
It was true for him though, Lance was a rather positive guy. He didn't dwell on his lost family, and instead loved his new one. "I know, you have to keep that a secret." he placed a finger to his lips to empathize, "I'm supposed to be charming and sweet."

Ice smiled a bit more at him. "Good. And it's true you do have us, and Lucas thinks of you like a brother just like I do." she said, and messed with his hair playfully like she would do to Lucas sometimes. "I won't ever forget my mother. She was a complete sweetheart, the opposite of me, but I loved her nonetheless." she added, smiling a bit. Her eyes went to one picture that hung on the wall beside her door. The only thing that was a weapon. A picture of her mother. She looked just like her, except for the bleach blonde hair, other than that, Ice looked just like her mother. "I won't forget her."
Blinking, Ie looked over at her pack mate and smiled a bit. "I don't need people knowing I have a soft side." she said, winking a bit. "You're charming and sweet but to me, someone who doesn't show much emotion. You get annoying...real quick." she said, getting serious again and he soft side disappearing completely again.

He placed a hand over his heart, leaning back with a look of false pain. "Ah, your words wound me! How could I possibly be annoying?" he joked, before pretending to zip and lock his mouth. "No worries, your soft side is safe with me. Though I wouldn't really call man-handling me soft, I will believe you."
