Lucas sighed and turned towards Pierre. "Don't you think I already know that." he said, running his fingers through his hair. What was he going to do? With Larysa pregnant with their child, Ice injured, and Red still out there. He collapsed onto the couch and closed his stormy gray eyes. "Ice won't be able to do anything for a while. Not with that kind of injury. Larysa will definitely kill me for allowing Red to live and you.." he sighed again, "Well, you've already explained what you'd do. |

Lucas sat up and looked over at Pierre. Was he joking? Or was he being serious? From what Lucas could see, Pierre was being completely serious and he sighed. Standing up he walked over to the male and put a hand on his shoulder, "Taking a responsibility like that Pierre, I don't know if I could let you." He sat down on the stool next to Pierre and leaned against the counter. "Why don't we both take the blame. Instead of switching it. Ice won't go after both of us, and sooner or later she'll understand. Larysa won't know about it until after the baby is born. By then, Red will be dead." |

Lucas sighed. Time to accept the fact and not be stubborn. Like Pierre said, "Alright. It's a deal, but I owe you one. BIG time." he said. He was gonna have to figure out how to even tell Larysa to begin with. She'd freak out!! Especially getting worried about the baby, just like Lucas was at the moment. Sighing, he closed his eyes and was imagining that everything that had just happened. Didn't, but he knew it did and Red was still out there. Waiting for them.

Lucas nodded and heard a groan coming from his sisters room. Instantly, he got up and went towards Ice's room to see her moving in her bed. "Well, she's awake." he said, just as Ice's eyes opened up and he walked in. "Hey Sis, how you feeling?" Slowly, he watched as she sat up, no pain or emotion of having in pain showing of her face. But Lucas knew by now, Ice hardly showed any pain, or emotions, even to him.

Looking to the door, Ice saw Lucas walk into her room, and asked if she was alright. "I'm fine Luc. I don't feel much pain anymore, but I know it's there." she said, throwing the cover over the side. She was tired of sitting in bed, and she needed to move. Now. Ice threw her legs over her bed and pushed herself up off of the bed. She struggling with her balance until she felt a reassuring hand helping her. |

Pierre a groan in the room and watched as Lucas left and said that Ice was awake. Pierre walked into the room and saw she looked a lot better. Pierre knew that what she was about to do was not the best of ideas, as she tried to stand up he walked closer to her and when she stumbled he caught her in his arms. She looked a bit surprised at to who helped her but Pierre kept holding onto her as she found her balance.
"See this is why I didn't want you to get out of bed... You stubborn little girl... Are you all right at least?"
Pierre said that in a gentle way and laughed when he called her stubborn.

Ice looked over to Pierre, as he held her until she was balanced. She moved away and gave him a cold look. Something Lucas was used to, "I'm completely fine. See, I can stand on my own." she said, showing him the truth. Ice walked out of the room and towards the kitchen. It took effort for her to ignore the pain and not show it, but eventually Ice did make it to the kitchen. Sitting down, she let out a breath that she hadn't realized she had been holding. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder, and looked over to see Lucas. "I'm fine Luc. Can't you tell?" She turned away before she saw him lean down towards her, "I know you are, but you are also struggling Little Sister." Ice sighed. He knew her to well. |

Pierre released Ice and held his hands up in a mocking surrender, as she walked away he could see isn't all well, she went to the kitchen. Lucas then went to her side and talked to her, Pierre made his way to the door post and leaned against, eavesdropping a bit on their conversation. Ice wasn't fine, he knew it, he wanted to help her but her brother was here. That's all that mattered now... He had to tell her about Red, some time. But Pierre will wait for the right time and that will be when Lucas brings up the topic. He wondered what he could do to let the pain go away and remembered something that was very strong to make pain go away completely.
"Well obviously you are still in pain... How about morphine? It will take the pain away completely... A quick injection and the pain will fade away."

Ice growled at Pierre before rolling her eyes at him. It was times like these that she literally wanted to get up and wanted to smack the hell out of Pierre, but he was right. She was still in pain and it was becoming much more difficult for her bear. "I don't entirely like anything that has to with injection, Pierre." she stated, rubbing her arm. The last time she had even thought about getting near a needle, Lucas had to hold her down just for her to have it done and get it over with. Ice hated it, and to this day, was holding a grudge on her brother for even thinking about letting her near a damn needle. She looked over to Lucas and sighed. She knew that look he was giving her, "Alright, I'll take the damn morphine."

Pierre sat up and placed his feet on the ground, he stood up and said.
"Ok, give me some time I just have to go get it. I will be back in about 20 minutes or so... Don't ask any questions just trust me..."
[/b] Without waiting for an answer Pierre left. He quickly made his way back to where he and Ice first met and then he found his car still parked where he left it. He got into it and drove back to his home. When he got to his home he went to his medical kit and found a little bottle, with the words MORPHINE on it. He also took his kit with him. He drove back to Ice's place. He walked in and walked up to Ice. holding all the stuff he needed in his hands, which was neatly packed in a surgery kit bag."You ready?... I can give you something that will numb the skin and yo won't feel a thing... I promise."[/b] [/blockquote][/size] |

Ice watched as Pierre got to his feet, telling them that he would be back in 20 minutes. Instantly, Ice wanted to ask him questions, for her curiosity rose up when he said to not ask any questions, but by the time she came up with a question. He was gone. Ice looked over to her brother but he wasn't looking at her, and once again... She felt like something was missing, but deciding not to ask until Pierre got back. Ice stayed silent.
When he came back, Ice looked over at him and sighed, "Yes.. I'm ready." she said, closing her eyes. When it was done, she sighed and looked over at her brother then Pierre. "Alright, what's going on? You two have been acting differently since I woke up. So tell me. Now." |

Pierre looked at Ice as she gave him a scared expression but he knew that when it's done, the pain will go away. He injected her and when he was done, he gave a sigh of relief. She then looked to her brother and back at Pierre, Pierre shrugged and she asked him what was up. He gave her a what ever do you mean look and the stern look she gave him, made him instantly look over to Lucas, he started to pack his things away and as he was busy he said.
"Uhm... Lucas, why don't you go ahead and tell your sister what is up, because... I don't see anything wrong here..."
