At her taunting and word choices, he couldn’t help the heat that boiled in his blood. He was smiling still, but his eyes had narrowed and his pupils turned to slits. She didn’t know what she was challenging, and how easy it would be for him to break her. She was just a human, after all. To him, species did not matter and neither did normal principles. But then again, he was Cain Murrok now. He gave a small chuckle.
“Listen, princess. I hope you do remember whom you are talking to. I am your boss, and it isn’t a good idea to insult your employer.” He placed the cigarette back in his mouth, chewing on it slightly. “I’m not your master, though keep that up and I’m sure your business will continue to flourish.”

Shasta just laughed at him a bit, shrugging her shoulders and putting another cigarette in her mouth, where she lit it and began to smoke. Calmly, she laid back on her shoulder blades and crossed her legs. At this point, she was done with this male and his pointless words. If he wasn't going to show her interest, then she'd just do the same god damn thing. Her mind was a whirlwind of different things.
For such an insecure girl, she could hold her head high.. but as could most strippers. Yes, she did consider herself a 'stripper' and not a prostitute; her line of work was classier than that, and she wasn't a skank, either. One more, barley audible sigh, and the girls eyes closed. Cigarette barley dangling from her mouth and then being propped up seconds later; she played around with it, doing small smoke tricks and just putting all her focus into it.
She just didn't even care.

He burst into laughter, "What are you a puppy? Lost interest with me already?" he asked, grinning. He knew the basic information about Shasta from her job application, though her behavior did cause him to raise a brow. She hadn't made many friends with the other dancers as far as he could see. He shook his head, "Look, princess." he seemed to like that nickname. "I'm not going to spoil you and just go along with your little games. Sexy talk doesn't have much affect on me unless I've already got you pinned beneath me." He watched the smoke tricks, examining his own unlit cigarette. "Besides, I'd probably break you in half."

The tiny girl laughed and shook her head, "Break me in half? You're quite mistaken if you think I haven't seen it all." and with that, she sat up and yawned, not totally excited to have to go back to work in just three hours. Raising a brow, she sighed. "Your words don't effect me, sir, my games are how I attract business. And I promise you, love, someday you'll be thanking me.
These little girls you have running around will never up me one. I'm the best you'll ever have in here." of course the ladies that ran around this place were sexy and something to chew on, however in Shasta's mind, she was the best. Living on praise from years of experience and such. "Well, I suggest not treating me like you do your business targets." he suggested, his smile broadening. Really, he already had enough of the girls trying to drug him as it was. He figured it was either for money or to get into bed with him, but the chances of that happening in such a way was slim. If he wanted a partner for the evening he would search for one.
Oh, and he meant that quite literally. Werewolves were stronger than humans, and he knew his control wasn't the best. It wouldn't be the first time he would snap a few bones.

Raising a brow once again, she couldn't help but put on a small smile at his words. She treated everything as business, as a game.. besides her home life with her daughter, that is. That meant too much to her. To think of it, there never was a moment she wasn't working.. never any time to spend with her daughter. A sad look came across her, and she just shrugged. "Your words mean nothing to me, dearest Cain, and I do apologize if I do not take your suggestions. I do things my way and avoid others as much as possible when it comes to advice." Her mood had changed in an instant, she was feeling a sudden rage beneath her calmed breaths and steadied eyes. And with that, she turned to the small nightstand and opened it up.. a small box of pills emerging, and she downed a few with her drink. Oh, yeah, a drug problem is what you could consider that. Shasta turned back to Cain, "If you will excuse me. I'm going back on duty early," her words were sharp, as she started dressing back into her evening attire.

"On drugs like that?" he questioned, the smile ever present on his face. "Not in my club. My rules are quite explicit in that." He already had werewolves in his crowd, he did not want drugged up employees causing accidents.
He moved to the door, turning the nob before looking over his shoulder. "Don't start your shift early and just sleep. You have kids at home, don't you?" He opened the door. Strangely enough he liked kids, so he didn't like the thought of an irresponsible parent. His own parents had been terrible.

"I'm prescribed them for anxiety. They're not drugs," she replied simply, though you could hear the anger and angst in her voice. At this point she just wanted to as far away from this man, he was breaking into her emotions. Something about him made her uneasy and worried, and she was no longer interested in toying with him, or attempting to. But when he'd turned to make his leave and then commented about having kids, an odd hiss erupted from her throat and ended up being a groan. What the hell do you know about having kids? I'm sure you have none.. her mind roared. But oddly enough, she kept her mouth shut in the respect of being rude, as hard as it was. Instead she shrugged her shoulders, "Sleep is the last thing on my mind. Finishing up here and going home to sleep next to my child, however, is. So it doesn't matter, now does it?" she'd hoped for a moment to ask to leave, actually. But now it just slipped her mind as she finished dressing.

"As long as you get your hours in, I won't be getting in your way then." he finished before stepping out of the door. Once he was no longer in the sight of another person, his face grimaced. Brat. was all he could think as he moved to his office. Once inside, he closed his door, throwing the cigarette into a garbage can and falling ceremoniously into his chair. He leaned back, loosening the tie around his neck.
Inside his office there was a large desk, and a couple of filing cabinets for his paperwork and bills. There was staircase behind him, and a small sofa against one wall with a small bookshelf. There were two chairs in front of his desk, though they were rarely occupied.
One strange thing that occupied his room though was a large dog bed, which was sitting underneath his desk. Sometimes, when he felt like curling up for a nap in the evenings, he'd shift and sleep there. His golden fur as a werewolf often confused people, and this place was quieter than his home upstairs, where the music below it easily breeched the floors.

She was displeased.. and a displeased Shasta was never a good thing. Oh, I will get him. her mind screamed, as she walked through the hall and to the dance floor. Almost immediately she found someone to toy with; a younger guy at the club, very dorky and naive seeming.. oh, how his body worked so well against hers. That was a plus, oh a definite plus. Tas was too into the music and her new partner to notice the upcoming danger that lurked in the club. The mood had shifted so suddenly and everyone so caught off guard, as two men slithered inside and searched for captives. Before she, herself, had a chance to go anywhere, her partner dipped. Leaving the magenta-haired girl alone in a crowed of uneasy people. "What the hell is going on?" she demanded to a fellow dancer, who shrugged. Cautiously, the lithe girl moved to where a fight was erupting. Men shouting from either side, Tas jumped towards them, "Hey, hey, hey. Cut the shit, you guys aren't hotshots because you can throw a few vulgar words around!" she yelled, what seemed like a hiss erupting from her throat. That's when the fists starting flying, one hitting her directly in the face and causing her to fall back. Oh, but of course, she stood right back up, her own fists in balls and being thrown in every which direction.

Cain looked up from his desk when he heard a frantic knock on his door. He opened it, a bloody bouncer nearly falling onto him from his frantic knocking. "There's a first aid kit in the bottom drawer of the desk." he said, giving the bloody faced man a smile before moving through down the hall and into the dance floor.
His eyes had turned to slits, the gray in them nearly glowing at the anger swelling in his belly. He could feel his canines getting larger, and had to calm himself slightly to keep from changing right there.
He gave a wave to the barman, who hit a switch that immediately lit up the club. The music stopped, and he could see the few men that were the starting of this chaos.
"Well..." he murmured, a twisted grin crossing his features as he loosened his tie. He walked over to the fight, spotting Shasta as she was struck in the face trying to stop it. Damnit, you don't hit dancers in the face! He brushed past her as her fists flew, moving straight to the middle of the chaos. He was tall, and when he yelled out "Stop!" it sounded more like a feral bark than a shout. The nearest fighter next to him paused, letting out a shriek when Cain lifted him off his feet by the collar of his shirt. "No fighting in my club."
