Hunter & Prey

Luschka chuckled and thought about that question. Did she have alot of friends? She pursed her lips and looked up at the sky to the left. She knew her best friends were Amelia and Charlotte, but did she have any other friends? Well how about Samuel Bailey? The surgical doctor who is also secretly a werewolf and is sorta tense but Lu sometimes manages to loosen him up a little bit? She was more of his master....but they called it a friendship anyway. So that was three. How about Niyah? She was her friend wasn't she? Hmm....I guess so. And then there was Eclipse. Her Alpha with whom she was very close to and they were good friends.

Their relationship was more of a sibling thing. He reminded her so much of Shane. He was her rolemodel. The person she aspired to be. He had been so kind to her by taking her in at thirteen and then when she was eighteen, so generously giving her the position of Beta. He really trusted her didn't he? She had to tell him that Seth was in town....She had to tell him that they had to be careful but that unless Seth saw one of them as a wolf or shift they would be pretty much safe. The pack would have to take precautions. Like only changing at night and even then using their acute scenses to scope the area and make sure no one was within miles.

Deciding she made him wait long enough, she answered. Not a lot, but a few really good ones. Some are sort of complicated, but others are just normal friendships. Then there's the people who I consider my siblings. They are so kind and understanding towards me. She wondered if would ask who they are and what they did for a living. She flared her nostrils a little to make sure that they were still alone. Yup. Still the two of them.

[Eri]

He smiled; glad to hear that she did have people with her despite being an orphan. He didn’t have many friends growing up, and most faces he couldn’t even remember. He would be put with other children for school, but his uncle was always moving them around so the other kids didn’t get to know him. He’d met many hunters in his travels though, and worked with a few as well. He wasn’t sure if he could call them friends, but there is a kinship in meeting fellow hunters.

Well, most hunters. He didn’t have much patience for stupidity, and hunters that killed werewolves for the thrill of it were dealt with. As a part of the Amos family, he was taught long ago that if a hunter begins to find joy in killing they must be stopped. A werewolf hunter wasn’t a monster…though he felt like one sometimes. Not that he would admit it openly He’d met many that would use innocent humans as bait, which was against Amos code. The werewolf hunter community didn’t appreciate him taking out other hunters, but did not interfere. The Amos name was heavy.

“Sounds like how friendships are supposed to be.” he said, giving her a smile and playfully pushing her before pulling her back. Damn, that hurt too. He couldn’t help the sharp intake of air he took, though tried to hide it with another smile. “I wouldn’t mind meeting them as well.”

Luschka smiled but could see he was in pain. She touched his face comfortingly and then when he said he would like to meet some her breath caught in her throat. Shit. That's not good. She thought hard and thoroughly before even daring to answer. Would any of my friends take the risk of meeting him? All my friends are werewolves and know exactly who he his....though I don't think Sam knows what Seth looks like....but then again Seth would introduce himself and Sam would freak being the wimp he is. Dammit. How about Amelia? I know she's been dying to meet him. Well sorta. She wants to meet him because she knows we're sorta together. Hmm. I know Char might be interested but probably not considering the way she reacted when she found out.

She thought about the few other friends that she had. Eclipse is out of the question considering how he'd probably try to kill Seth. But how about Niyah? She's a risky little girl. She might be up for a thrill. What about Kipache? Well maybe.... Sure. She spoke without even wanting to tell him yes. Crap. Oh well, maybe it's a sign from God? Pursing her lips she stared at the distance between their bodies now. She felt cold. And scared. And nervous. And curious. And well, all together happy. Weird right?

[Eri]

He gave a sheepish smile when she tried to comfort him. "Sorry. I actually made a kill in a town a few hours away two nights ago, but he took a bit out of me first." he explained, touching his side before giving a shrug. "Why I'm only hiking right now. Too dangerous to go hunting when I'm already bleeding." He had never worried about being bitten, since the last thing werewolves wanted was an Amos with the same powers they had. That didn't mean he didn't have his fair share of wild wolf bites and werewolf-related injuries. They also attacked him in their human forms, so knives and guns were tricky too.

When she said yes, he smiled. "Sweet! The last thing I want is to get on your friend's bad side." he'd always heard about relationships ending due to friends disapproving, so he hoped to avoid being disliked by them. Too bad he didn't realize his position, but he didn't think a werewolf would even try to get close to him personally. The only time a werewolf had ever tried to get close to him was in order to sink a knife into his heart.

[Saniyah]

The pup had snuck away from home again! Her legs pushed her over the ground in Infiniteria territory. She wanted to talk to Luschka about her secret. So far she had tracked her scent way out here. Coming to a stop upon some group of rocks she sniffed looking around. 'Aw crap where'd she go?!?' she thought sniffing around for a moment then found her scent again. She could tell she was getting closer. Then another scent drifted to her nose. Coming to a stop she changed to her human form and followed now. As she began to get closer she could hear voices. Sneaking closer using the trees to hide behind she pulled her black hood from her hoody over her head and then peeked out spotting Luschka. She relaxed and then saw a male. Breathing in she could tell he was a human.

As she listened and watched she then turned away with a shocked expression on her face. The male was Seth Amos! 'Crap!' she thought and sunk her nails into the bark of the tree. But then sighed quietly and rolled her eyes turning to listen again. 'Meet her friends Eh?' she thought getting an idea. She turned back starting to move away from the tree.

Relaxing her body she casually began to walk out pretending not to see them then she froze saying "Luschka?....what you doing out here?" She walked up closer looking up at Seth and said "Hiya!" Her attention going back to her friend she said "And before you say anything I'm just hiking"

Luschka smiled and pecked his lips lightly. She then heard a sound from the woods and her heart stopped for a second and then picked up in double time. She smelled the air cautiously and picked up an all too familiar scent. Niyah. Shit! I hope she's not in her wolf form.... She tuned her keen ears to the sound of feet on the ground to discover she was on two feet. Which meant she was human. Lu better count her blessings.

She now wondered how the two would get along. Would they end up getting along well? Or would they hate each other? Crap. Now she was worried all over again. How was this going to end? And not just this meeting, but this conspirousy? She looked around pretending to not hear Niyah since a human wouldn't be able to yet. She looked at Seth and smiled flirtatiously and winked. She couldn't help it. As soon as she saw him her worries didn't seem so major anymore.

When Niyah walked out and greeted them Lu turned away from Seth a little bit and blushed. Sure, she had told Niyah about the two of them but it was totally different when her friend saw it. She looked at Seth and then back at Niyah. She decided to introduce them. Seth, this is one of my friends, Saniyah. Niyah, this....is Seth. My....? She was unsure of what to call him. She looked at Seth, hoping he would finish the sentence with "boyfriend".

[Eri]

Seth's head spun around when he heard a rustling in the bushes. Hazel eyes narrowed, his body became tense as a girl emerged onto the rocks. She seemed to know Luschka though, and he visibly relaxed when he heard her say the other girls name.

"Hello..." he finally answered, glancing to Luschka in questioning. When she paused, he supplied a suitable answer."Date...Strange, I was just asking Luschka about her friends." His words were neutral, and he glanced at the trees again wondering if there were more. Did all locals just wander out into the forest by themselves around here? He had thought of using the word boyfriend...but he'd never been one before."Nice to meet you."

[Saniyah]

She saw the expression on Lu's face and smiled more. Then listened as she introduced Seth as her "Date...Strange, I was just asking Luschka about her friends." her eyes shifted to Seth as he finished her sentence. 'Date huh' she thought. "You'd be amazed at who Lu's friends are" she spoke out. When Seth said it was nice to meet her she slightly looked at him with a suspicious look and stepped away from him saying "Uh huh...you too" in a more glum voice.

Looking at Luschka she said "So if ya'll datin why you out here?...Never no what's out here" She moved behind Lu playfully and said "Right..Lu?" poking her head out from behind her. Then her dark brown eyes went to Seth saying "Can I talk to you for a moment?" A innocent smile played on her lips as she skipped a little bit away waiting for him.

Luschka listened to Niyah skeptically. Niyah, you better watch your back, she thought the warning to the girl carefully. She liked this girl and she didn't want her hurt....Lu herself had already gone through so much trouble to keep her ass safe. She didn't need another ass to save. But then again, why not? She sighed and watched Niyah. Lu would be listening from here. She made sure to let Niyah know that. Saniyah was a good friend of hers. She reminded her alot of herself.

Looking at Seth to see how he'd react she shifted her weight. Make sure you give him back soon, Niyah. I'll be waiting. She looked between the two. This night just went from dangerous to life-endangering. She let out a resigned sigh and waited for Niyah to continue on and for Seth to follow. Surely something bad was going to happen tonight. Something bad. It was just Luschka's luck.

[Eri]

Seth was a little confused on to why she wanted to talk to him, but when Luschka didn't seem to mind he gave a nod. "Sure..." he said, giving Luschka one last look before following after the skipping girl.

Well, this was a little strange. Was he going to get
'the talk' from a little girl? He had never even gotten a talk from his uncle, this would just be plain weird coming from Niyah.

[Saniyah]

She heard Lu's warning and waved her hand through the air casually saying she understood. 'Make sure you give him back soon, Niyah. I'll be waiting.' Lu said and Saniyah smiled saying "I'll give him back don't worry, Lu" Her eyes went to Seth as he agreed to talk to her followed to where she was. When he got there her smile faded and she said "Alright let's get one thing straight okay?" She put her hands on her hips saying "You hurt Luschka and I'll hurt you" She glanced over at Lu knowing she heard her words anyway.

"I may don't look like it... But I'm a good fighter. You ever hurt her and I find out you answer to me, got that?" she said plainly and then she took her hands from her hips saying "You even so much as think about betraying her and you're gonna wish you hadn't. We may be both humans..." 'Lie' she thought to herself. "But I will hunt you down as if I was hunter like you or werewolf...I don't care which ever comes first" she finished.

Then just as her voice was serious she switched back to a good mood saying "But other than that I guess you can 'date' my friend" Spinning around him she skipped back to Lu and giggled with a smile and jumped to a rock and sat down saying "So what you guys doing out here anyway?"

[Eri]

Oh, thank god. Seth thought as she started to give him the friend chat. This he was expecting, though having this girl threaten him was a little comical. He didn’t let his amusement show, and just nodded in agreement. There was a reason he had been so cautious about even pursuing a possible relationship with Luschka. He hadn’t thought of hurting her, but more so being the reason for her getting hurt.

He found her clarification on being a human a little questioning. He hadn’t mentioned that he was a hunter, though he guessed most of the new people coming into the town were hunters anyways. He gave a curt nod, and a bit of a grunt in agreement to show he understood. His true social capabilities were showing slightly, but he did listen to Saniyah and seemed to take her warning seriously.

He followed the skipping girl back to Luschka, brushing against Lu as he went to stand beside her again. She had a good friend, is what he wanted to say. But doing so while said friend was still there was a bit too much for him.

Luschka smiled when Niyah gave him the friend talk. Classic, she thought with a laugh. When they came back and Niyah asked what they had been doing, Luschka blushed so feverently she might have looked like a deep pink rose. She chuckled nervously thinking of how they had been making out pretty much the whole night. She kicked at the ground nervously, wondering how she would answer this. Ummm... She looked up as Seth for a quick second and then back at Niyah and then at the ground again. Talking. Mostly. That was partly true. They had talked--but not mostly.

She looked at the sky and then back at Niyah. What
