Lance smiled softly at her next question. "It's nice, and fun. We have a few fights here and there, but it's not too surprising I guess. I've never gotten in trouble, but I'm a lover not a fighter." he gave a flirtatious smile, "Going on runs with the others is a thrill, and hunting is much more enjoyable."
Lance had come far before he was welcomed into his pack. He'd never stayed in one place for so long, and the shelter they all provided for one another was a great gift to him. "I was born this way though, and my real family is separated. I'm not alone though, because I have the others with me."

Sounded like any other family, the way Lance talked. Otto shook her head at the smile he threw her way. She liked Lance well enough, but all that flirting threw her off. I haff never been hunting with other veres, but I vill run with the dogs vhen our family goes out to hunt bear. It is very fun, in a primal way.
When the young man explained that his own family was separated and that his pack was a kind of surrogate, a sad smile touched her face. It is good you haff found a place to be yourself. I vould like to meet your friends some time, she woofed rather pleasantly, trying to get Lance smiling again.

He clapped his hands enthusiastically, "Of course you can meet them! New faces are always welcomed, just don't worry if they're a bit rough. Everyone has a past, but they're good people."
He stretched his arms up towards the sky, seeming to enjoy the sunlight very much. He had been born in the tropics of Florida, and actually hated the cold. "Hunting is a ton of fun with the pack. We can run as fast as we can, and get plenty to eat from it."

Otto nodded and chuckled at Lance's enthusiasm, smiling. How fortuitous! She had finally made friends with another werewolf, and what's more he was going to introduce her to others like them. When he spoke about others of their kind being rough she was not surprised or deterred, her excitement clear on her strong face.
Food. Now there was a thought. Otto wondered vaguely if in wolf form they ate like wolves, and if the raw meat would affect their stomachs. She herself would get a bit drooly over the nicer cuts when they went to the local butcher, but had never actually had anything uncooked. Did werewolves even do that? Who knew, she might freak Lance out if she straight asked. I am in no pack, but I hope to experience that one day. Perhaps I vill join a pack in the future, if I effer get the basics down, Otto laughed, nudging Lance with her elbow playfully.

His eyes seemed to sparkle at the prospect of another member of the pack. To him, that meant more friends. Also, it could mean less work for him. The pack was small so he did get stuck with a few odd jobs every once in a while.
"The basics of being a werewolf should come naturally. I think the instincts just guide you after a certain point." he supplied this wisdom, though he wasn't too sure if it was completely right. "Controlling yourself is the hard part, I think."

Otto nodded, Lance's smile infectious, as he explained the natural instincts. After ten years she was familiar with the weird sensations that seized her, some frightening and some that seemed as if they came from a cartoon. It had been particularly interesting when she found a rabbit in the family garden when she was fifteen and woke up naked in the forest the next day. Got picked up and taken home by a park ranger.
At the comment on control Otto heartily nodded. That is very true, this I know. There are times vhen I change and it is very hard to remember who I am or to control my actions. It happens less now but effryday I feel the urge to do things that I know humans do not do.

"Yeah, I had those problems when I was a pup. Natural born werewolves struggle with it in their youth but eventually grow out of it. Or, at least I did. I only know of a handful of bitten in the area." He laughed at her rabbit story, nodding in agreement. "I like to catch squirrels." he mentioned, a mock cynical look appearing on his face.
"They mock me sometimes."

The young Roma woman nodded thoughtfully at Lance's explanation. If it got easier for the born werewolves as they aged, it made sense that it would get easier for Otto too. In a way it had, but she still felt as if she had a way to go before she could count herself as a real werewolf. For now she was not much more than a puppy.
A sharp laugh broke from Otto's mouth at the young man's comments on the bane of squirrels. They are very sneaky tree rats aren't they? the tan woman chortled playfully, trying to look serious and failing. There are many vermin who like to make a nuisance off themselves, but you vill find there are very few cats or hares on my street these days.

"They spy on me, I swear!" he said, his face going dark for a moment. "I was on a scout, and I kept seeing this squirrel follow after me. I got him though, but then he started movie again." he paused for a moment. Zombie-squirrel...? Nahhh... he shook that thought from his head.
"If you have questions, always feel free to find me! I will give you guidance! Though I personally prefer dating advice."

Otto smiled, shaking her head at the squirrel story. It was probably multiple critters, and the one he killed simply lost the game of Romanian Roullette. His words on dating advice had Otto lifting an eyebrow once again. Dating advice from such a goofball? You fancy yourself a matchmaker, do you? she woofed at him, surprised.
All off my siblings are married except for me and they are alvays trying to giff me advice on how to find a nice husband. It drives me crazy, Otto grumped, shaking her head. That was one of the reasons she had wandered off from the family picnic today.

"I am not a matchmaker," he corrected, wagging his finger in a no-no sort of manner. He sighed, giving a small huff. People mistook him for that all the time. "I don't try match people together. I think it's up to the person to find their partner. I just give them a little push to help them gain confidence. Like polishing a diamond in the rough."
He tilted his head slightly,"It's no fun to be pressured into a relationship. Besides, you're a nice lady with a pretty smile! You will find a man if you really want to."

Otto laughed but didn't try to look apologetic at his corrections, watching him as he explained. It sounded like a very strange, though altruistic, hobby. You may not pick their mates, but your teachings are vhat brings them together, no? the tan woman laughed, predicting on the rather generous side the effectiveness of Lance's teachings. In truth he seemed a bit goofy to be charming anyone, more likely to be taken in by a woman as a puppy than as a lover.
Settle down, Don Von, she laughed at his latest stream of compliments. As far as she was concerned none of those things were true- after all she was swift to start a fight and had horrible teeth, and she knew it. Not tomention Otto hardly counted as a lady. Still, even knowing the things he spewed couldn't possibly be true, Otto could accept that maybe Lance believed them. After all, if a lie was repeated enough times it would eventually come to be accepted as truth. Perhaps he had been telling himself that all women were beautiful.

"No, I don't think it would benefit them if I was the one to put them together. They don't gain the confidence of finding their partners on their own if I do, and I don't want people thinking they owe me." he gave a shrug and a sigh as he peered at her from the corner of his eye.
"I'm settled. What does Don Von mean?" he questioned, prodding at her arm with a finger.
