William Hughes was running for his life... ..Well...Running for his dignity at any rate..
For the second time in as many days, William was running at full pelt through the forest, eyes squeezed shut, his suit jacket snagging on bushes and branches, his dark brown hair already tangled with leaves and twigs.
It would almost certainly have been easier to traverse through here as a wolf, but William wasn't going to give that red headed werewolf a chance to catch up with him.. ...Lance'd probably just start making judgements on his fur keeping habits or something anyway. Having to proclaim to the world that he wasn't a flea inside his own apartment had been embarrassing enough.
And now he needed somewhere to hide. Oh God did he need somewhere to hide. At least until Lance got bored, or found another poor sap to 'work his magic' on.
At least he had proper shoes on this time... And his change the previous day meant he didn't have any urges to start chasing fluffy bunnies or...something, just yet.
Bursting through the trees and into a small, light clearing, William felt himself stumble and lent against the rough bark of a tree to try and catch his breath, not picking up the scent of Lance with a little sigh of relief.

"William~" Lance was calling out loudly, his voice showing he was in high spirits as he jogged through the forest. He was a scout, so following the clumsy trail William was leaving wasn't too difficult. He was rather surprised by his speed though, and frantic attempts to get away.
He was pretty sure he had already showed he wasn't going to hurt the man, so why was he running away so frightened? He sniffed at himself, wondering if he smelled or something.
"Come out, come out where ever you aaarreeee!!" He yelled.
"....MARCO POLO!" oh wait, he was only supposed to say marco. "MARCO!!!"

Otto was out on her own again, loping about in her lupine form. The rain had stopped today, but clouds were thick in the sky and who knew when drops would start coming down again. She had ventured further into the park than she had ever come while alone before, and though rather worried about encountering more aggressive members of the pack that was said to live here, Otto wasn't torn to pieces over it. She did have her dog collar on for precaution's sake, but humans didn't seem to come out much when it was so wet out.
She had been following a deer trail rather fruitlessly for some time when the sounds of a man running rather clumsily through the woods caught at her ears, and not far behind a familiar voice shouting the name "Marco." A bit confused, the chocolate furred female slipped into the brush and looped around to investigate all the noise. It didn't take long for her to find a rather small, mousey man flopping through the brush. He smelled of werewolf, and was apparently running from Lance. Chuffing with wolffish laughter, Otto settled into a laying position, still hidden in the brush, for Lance to pass by just as the unknown werewolf did. When the familiar mop of wild red curls came into view, she called out to him with the same telepathic connection she had learned to use not long ago. Lance! It is Otto. Vhat are you doink?

William heard the loud call of "MARCO" ringing through the trees, practically sung by a horribly familiar enthusiastic voice. Oh no, he'd been spotted, or at least scented. A little whimper escaped his throat as he hurried to straighten himself again and continue running from Lance. Maybe there was a rock nearby he could hide behind, or an easily climbable tree...
Anything would be preferable to more 'gentleman' lessons, and more embarrassment in front of Peri. Maybe he could wipe out his trail with something...o-or make it harder to follow. William didn't think he could run for much longer.

Lance looked at the brown werewolf, a grin spreading across his features as he knelt down and ruffled her ears in greeting. "Otto! I'm looking for my friend William. I had a new exercise to try out with him, or maybe possibly take him suit shopping. There's this green one I saw that I think would be good, that has yellow accents to give it some flare." he was rambling now, but snapped his fingers to get himself back on track.
"Anyways, seen a man run through here?" He held out a hand, "This tall, brown hair, running frantically?" He paused for a moment, "I don't smell or something, do I?"
He questioned, not even waiting for a response before he picked up the trail again. "MARCOOOOO~~!!"

Otto's tail wagged briskly as Lance knelt down in front of her and rubbed her ears. She had been petted before by the tourists who came into her family's shop and assumed her a dog, but she never got tired of it. Ear rubs were especially nice. When he stopped to explain what he was doing, Otto gave him the smallest of sad puppy faces before tuning in on what he was saying to her. The shy bitten gajo? the she-wolf questioned, looking off in the direction she saw the small man running.
When Lance got up and started trotting off, Otto followed at his heels. Yes, he vent this vay. I can go and get him? she woofed happily. Honestly, she wasn't exactly sure why the pair of them weren't in their wolf forms. They were a lot more practical for getting around outside. I vill be right back, hmm, Marco? Without waiting for an answer, she took off through the brush for the small man as if out with her brothers and tracking a bear.
It didn't take long to catch up on all fours, dodging through the brush faster than a human was able. The small man-William- was at a stop and leaning against a tree. Rather unceremoniously she trotted up to him, panting lightly. Are you Villiam? the caramel wolf thought aloud, tipping her head and wagging her tail so he wouldn't be frightened. He had to be running for some reason after all.

William jumped as the large brown wolf trotted up to him, it's collar glinting in the sunlight. At first he thought it might be some lost dog, despite the size and wolfish appearance, but then he caught the werewolf scent coming from it, and heard it's friendly voice in his head and slumped visibly. Oh ...bloody marvelous; another one.
He shyed back against the tree again, tugged defensibly at his jacket and pulling a stray leaf from his hair. If the wolf was asking after him for Lance...
"erm...T-That would depend o-on who's a-asking!"
he tried bravely, his voice sounding weak and pathetic even to his own ears.
Although he had to admit he was slightly curious; this wolf's scent was unfamiliar, and the dog collar a new trick he hadn't seen practiced before. A small part of him wondered who this new wolf was....

"Oh, yeah go get him!" Lance encouraged, giving her a small whoop when she darted away in the trees. Though if Otto joined them he wouldn't be able to continue his lessons as well. Otto had been wanting to meet William, probably to meet another bitten werewolf.
He had wanted to take William shopping, but he guessed he could share him for a few minutes. "MAAARCOOOO!!!!....MARCO!"

Otto would've laughed aloud if a wolf could when the man slumped over. He certainly didn't seem very happy to see her now did he? The description Lance had given her hardly covered it. This fellow was beyond shy. I am Otto Hadrarius, she pursued pleasantly, the thoughts cooed like she was talking to a fearful child. I haff been told you are bitten like me and vaunted to meet you. Please do not be afraid off me.
If she were lucky she could talk to this man a bit before Lance caught up and carried on whatever mischief he was up to. Under other circumstances she would worry that Lance was going to hurt William, but knowing the redhead it seemed impossible for him to hurt anyone. Vhy vere you runnink, Villiam? she questioned, still trying to sound gentle and soothing. Otto may not have followed much of the family tradition these days, but she remembered her Daj's lessons well and could be sweet and quiet if she really had to.

He blinked, letting the leaf in his hand fall to the floor. Bitten? Another bitten werewolf? Again that was thrice in two days he'd found himself talking to a fellow werewolf, and all this after six years of almost no interaction.
He felt himself start to blush. How did this...Otto...Know he was bitten? Surely he wasn't that awful at being a werewolf that he gave off some kind of different scent? ...But then...If she was also bitten...Surely she would know what it was like to have such a block of instincts and thoughts dropped on you all of a sudden. He felt himself begin to relax, hoping she would continue to be as friendly as she was now.
"L-lance"
He tried to explain weakly, the tips of his ears starting to burn.
"H-he wanted to give m-me...Gentleman l-lessons...A-and now he's chasing me...

Lance sighed, squatting down before lifting up his nose towards the air. Otto had gone in the same direction William's scent went, he just hoped the woman didn't scare William off completely.
"I spy with my little eye..." he mumbled, passing by a few broken bushes that William had obviously stumbled through.
He suddenly spread a few apart, a large grin on his face before it fell. "Nothing...boo." he turned back, continuing down the trail. If Otto could just stall him, he'd find the two in no time!

Otto opened her mouth in a wide wolf-smile, tongue lolling out of her mouth, as William blushed. What a sheepish wolf. Otto wasn't surprised when the small man stuttered out Lance's name, wagging her tail in slow, wide arcs as he explained. Gentlemen lessons? she laughed, a bark punctuating the thought. She should have known it would be something silly.
He is very enthusiastic, isn't he? I met Lance in the park once and he nearly fell down the seats off the amphitheater. He is the one who told me about you, by the vay. I hope it is alright that I sought you out. I am trying to learn more and meet other verevolffs, and vas very eager to meet another who had been bitten. If I may... Otto paused, thinking. She didn't want to word it wrong and scare this sheepish fellow away. Vhy are you so frightened off 'Gentleman Lessons?' Lance seemed like a kind fellow. Is he a harsh teacher, or do you haff a fundamental aversion to lifting your pinky vhen sipping tea? she teased gently, maintaining her friendly posturing so he would know she meant him no harm. [/blockquote]

William felt his blush deepen at her gentle teasing. Maybe he was overreacting over the entire situation. But the last few days had been a complete headache for the little werewolf, and he felt that the last thing he needed right now...
"H-he had me y-yelling that I w-wasn't a flea a-at my next door neighbor!"
Even though, William had to be honest with himself, that had felt rather good, and it had been the first time in so many years that he hadn't stammered his way through a sentence... He shook his head quickly.
"A-and now he wants me t-to go suit shopping...o-or something with him! A-and I don't want...I-I would really rather not..."
..Draw attention to himself. He felt a desperate little whine build up in his throat, delivered straight from the wolfish side of his brain.
"p-please Otto...y-you wanted t-to talk about b-being a werewolf? H-help me hide a-and I'll talk as much a-as you like!"

Lance cupped his hands together, calling out again. "Otto~!!! Marcoo~!!!" he paused for a second. Does she know how to play marco polo?
"You are supposed to say polo back when I say marco, Otto!" Oh wait, she was in wolf form. "Or you can just bark!"
He paused again, sighing as he kicked at the ground with a boot. "Nobody wants to play with me...." he grumbled, but didn't stop his tracking.

The young werewolf couldn't help but chuckle at Williams's growing blush and whimpering. Yelling that he wasn't a flea? And at a neighbor too. While maybe it wasn't regular behavior, embarrassing sure, but it could be worse. The bit about the suit shopping also seemed rather strange, but Otto had to admit she wasn't sure if anything Lance did was normal. I can understand the aversion to shoppink. I haff never enjoyed it, but I vill say this- Effen I cannot deny, a nice suit can really change the vay people look at a man. The men in my family always seem to be at their brightest vhen vearing their nice clothes, Otto explained pleasantly, flicking her ears around to listen for Lance's approach. He was farther behind than she realized. It would take more than clothes to make this man, but having a nice suit and feeling handsome in it could help him relax a bit and have more confidence in himself. Otto herself, though not one for romance, could appreciate a well groomed man in pinstripes and polished shoes.
Williams's next offer fell tempting on her ears and left her with a choice. She did want to talk to William more, but helping him hide could put her at odds with her new friend Lance. The decision was made for her rather swiftly when Lance started calling out her own name along with the insistent chirps of Marco. She was supposed to yell Polo when he said Marco? How strange... Probably an American game. Looking at William rather apologetically, she pushed a few more thoughts at him. My apologies, Villiam, but I haff already promised Lance I vould help him find you. If you can find it in you to forgive me I vill ask him to be easy on you, and perhaps buy you a drink in apology. Keeping her ears and tail down apologetically like a chastened dog, Otto then threw her about back and let out a small, lilting howl.
