Realizing that the brown furred werewolf was not going to help him escape so easily, William gave a startled little squeak and made to start running again, but the fast approaching scent of a cheerful Lance told him that there really was no use in trying again. Flopping back against the tree again, William gave Otto an injured look.
"I-I'll never be able to lose him now!"
He complained weakly. But her previous statement about a nicely turned out man in a suit had cheered him up some; maybe if Lance found him something decent to wear, he might find the courage to leave his apartment ever so often, and not just hide until the full moon. The man's loud, cheerful manner just unnerved William, rather a lot. He sighed, not able to remain annoyed at the cheerful werewolf in front of him.
"...a-and you owe me a drink!"

Lance's ears perked when he heard the howl, and he gave a whoop in response as he suddenly burst into a sprint. He was a runner, that was for sure, for it wasn't long at all before he reached the frightened man and happy wolf. He placed his hands on his knees, taking a few breaths to get his breathing back to normal before giving them both a grin. "Thanks Otto!" he said, practically prancing to her to give her a good ear ruffle.
He then turned to William, a strange and demented smile on his face. "And you!" he said, voice low before a small laugh escaped his lips. "You look hilarious!" he burst into giggles, walking over and taking out the leaves and twigs from his hair before carefully putting it back into its usual style. "There. All better."

It was hard to remain looking remorseful when William gave her such a thoroughly pathetic look, and even as the small man whined about the current state of the chase Otto found herself returning to wagging her tail. It is a promise, Villiam. Vhen you are ready you can call me at The Fair Moon Psychic Shop, but take too long and I vill come calling on you! she thought at him, a laugh in her words.
Then Lance was suddenly with them, all sweat and panting and wild firey curls. Otto bounced up to him and happily accepted the praise, getting a few muddy paw prints on Lance's pant legs in the process. When it seemed clear that it was time for the boys to get down to whatever mischief hey might be creating that day, Otto merely watched them with a wide open wolf smile before turning to dart off into the brush again, calling out a last telepathic I vill be seeing you! over her shoulder.

William couldn't help but raise a hand in a small farewell wave as Otto bounded away into the undergrowth, wondering faintly where the Fair Moon Psychic Shop was, and hoping that the small amount of time he'd spent with her would be enough to pick up her scent as a human too.
Turning back to Lance, he let himself be de-twigged and de-leafed before looking up at him with a resigned expression.
"...S-suit shopping?"

"Ah, wait Otto!" He leaped at the werewolf, landing on the ground with a thud. "Why don't you come with us? You have your collar on..."
He glanced from the ground back at William, "Yeah! A new shipment of a more casual style of suit came in today. There's this dark green one that I think you would like." he said.
