It had turned out to be a lovely day, the sun shining full force and warming the normally damp and cool earth, causing Sand to decide to travel out of the city limits and do some exploring. It took her some time between tranist to finally arrive at the monastery that she had heard so much about, but once she laid eyes on it she knew the journey had been worth it. The spires of the old building rose high into the sky, the stone walls as majestic as they were foreboding since the day they had been built. She walked up to the building in silence, the breeze ruffling her short golden blonde hair until the large doors closed shut loudly behind her, leaving her in the silence of the foyer. Sand cleared her throat, her eyebrows furrowing thoughtfully as she stepped forward gracefully, her boots echoing in the seemingly empty building. Her blue-gray storm eyes scanned the walls seriously, looking over the tapestries and other artifacts. The young woman had always had a soft spot for art and architecture, so she was almost lost in her own world as she explored. She wished her father could have seen all of this. Her chest panged briefly with loss before she paused in front of the plaque that stated the monastery had belonged to Lord Dracula.. also known as Vlad the Impaler and Ivan the Terrible, Sandra thought to herself, known for drinking the blood of his enemies and putting their bodies on display outside his home. She remembered a quote from Bram Stoker's Dracula where the Count had said how he had loved both the bat and the wolf, the 'creatures of the night'. She snorted and shook her head slightly, it was books like that that gave her kind a bad name.
