Kate looked at the doors as she passed them. No, no, no, no... Aha! This was the door she was looking for, it supposedly housed a werewolf. Kate had been around the town, asking people who looked like they might be harbouring a secret. Lifting up her fist, she knocked loudly. She was clutching a pad of paper to her chest, and a pencil. She wanted to write down his answers, if he answered them so she could see how they played out against other werewolf's answers. Flicking her black hair from her eyes, she looked down the corridor, half-expecting a wolf to run at her, snarling and showing teeth. Knocking again, even louder than the last time, she yelled, [yellow]I ain't trying to sell ya anything![/yellow] She hoped he would open the door, it wasn't like she was hurting anyone by asking around, and she wasn't going to give her research to anyone else so... Why wouldn't he open up?

Oh thank God it was the weekend. William was sleeping soundly and happily when his visitor came knocking; curled up under his thin duvet like a little dog. Ever so often his leg would kick lightly. He was dreaming happy little dreams.
Happy little dreams that he was rudely jolted awake from by the constant, forceful knocks on his apartment door. For a brief moment he entertained the idea that it might be Peri; turning up unannounced and dragging him off somewhere was her style....But then again it was also Lances too...
With this sobering thought in mind, he heaved himself out of bed, reached for and threw on his dressing gown before pattering to the door just in time to here an unfamiliar girl's voice call out that she wasn't here to sell anything....
...In an English accent? His sudden distrust of the girl behind the door held up a small slither of interest, and he felt himself reaching forward and opening the door to peer out.
"erm...c-can I help you?"

The man that opened the door was a shorter than her so she was looking down at him. She was looking at his red face and slight up-turned nose. He didn't look like a werewolf, in fact she was so shocked she blurted out [yellow]Your a werewolf? Really? [/yellow] Her hand flew to her mouth/[yellow]I'm sorry. I, I... [/yellow] She didn't know what to say. Looking down at her notes, she looked into his puppy dog eyes and took a deep breath. [yellow]Well, now you know that I know your a werewolf, would you mind answering a few questions I have? It's completely safe, no-one else will know I promise.[/yellow] She tilted her head a little, her hand on the door, pressing lightly on the wood. [yellow]May I come in?[/yellow] She didn't know what she'd expected a werewolf to look like but she knew it wasn't him. She wouldn't be surprised if he didn't let her in, but she would damn well do her best to get him to answer her questions erg, sorry for the short post. No muse! It ran away somewhere

William blinked, sudden terror gripping his gut as the tall, black haired girl in front of him suddenly blurted out the statement he'd never thought he'd have to hear. Someone knew he was a werewolf!
Some, he paused to pick up her scent -confirming to himself that the girl before him was indeed human- human little girl, she couldn't be more than 17 at most, knew what he was! But he'd been so careful! He didn't associate himself with other werewolf packs, he lived on his own, he barely changed more than once or twice monthly... So how did she know?
He felt a low whine build up in his throat as he remembered the stories he'd heard of werewolf hunters, and the hunts that had spread all across the globe, killing hundreds of his adopted kind until finally slowing down a few years ago. He hadn't been a werewolf then, and he didn't want anyone after him now that he was one.
After a few long moments of guilty, red faced staring, he finally managed to splutter out in a shrill, rushed voice;
"t-that's ridiculous! W-Werewolves d-don't exist...Y-you've been reading t-to many b-books...W-where are your....parents..."
He finally trailed off miserably, realizing even as he said them, that his words gave him away as guilty even if his expression of terror hadn't already.

Kate watched the man in front of her pretty much break down. A whine built up in his throat and she could see he was reminiscing - and the whine told her it wasn't all good stuff. He stared at her and then nothing in particular for a bit before a guilty expression pasted itself all over his round face. His stammering words just confirmed her suspicions. [yellow]My parents, aren't here. They're back in England. But I have a wealthy family and I can be very charming if I want to be,[/yellow] She flashed him a white toothed smile before her expression became more serious. [yellow]Like I said, I won't hurt you, and no-one else will ever get this information. I've been so bored these last few years, I want something fraught with danger and excitement. And werewolves are just so cool! I mean, changing into a wolf, isn't that feeling just amazing?[/yellow] That was one of her first questions, but she didn't show that she was ready to write anything down so as not to put him off. Her vivid blue contact lense eyes stayed right on his with a piercing stare. His expression reminded her of an old movie they'd watched in history class, the face the soldiers often made when they were scared to die. {You, you, Kittlez, if Snaggle's ok with it then bring in Peri! }

England, yes, just as he'd thought. For a very brief instant, William felt a small stab of homesickness, along with the desire to ask this girl everything that might have happened there in the past six years. But her next statement was enough to shake him from his brief feelings of nostalgia. Exciting and fraught with danger? Those were things people actually wanted? As for turning into a wolf every time the urge took him-
"N-no! n-no it b-bloody well isn't!"
...Oh great...Now he'd done it...Flat out admitted that he was a werewolf...Brilliant William, just brilliant. And maybe it did feel rather good...upon occasion. He sighed, realizing this was going to happen whether he wanted it to or not. He glanced nervously around the hallway. "Y-you'd better c-come inside"

The human girl watched him, she could almost see the cogs in his head turning as he thought about letting her in. Weighing the consequences. As he burst out into stammering disregard, he basically admitted to Kate that he was a werewolf. No her face looked triumphant and proud. She'd done it! Weirdly, he glanced down the hallway, as if looking for someone. The triumphant expression drained away to be replaced with a frown. What was he looking for? "Y-you'd better c-come inside" Kate smiled politely and stepped around him. [yellow]What's your name? I'm Kate McDermott.[/yellow] Looking around his apartment, she thought it looked a little distressed and worn. Her eyebrows came a little closer together. She couldn't stand to live in a place like this. Sitting lightly on a piece of furniture, facing the door so she could see if anyone else burst in, and waited for him to settle. [yellow]Is it ok if I ask you these questions?[/yellow] She flapped the pad of paper around for him to see.

"Oh, erm, William Hughes"
He ran a hand through his sleep-messed hair and offered her a weak smile, still unnerved at how such a young girl, without her parents, had traveled to Romania to find him. It was bizarre.
As she settled onto his sofa, gazing around at his apartment with a look of wonder and very slight disgust, William hurried into his bedroom and pulled on a pair of trousers and a crumpled shirt from last night, not wanting to have to talk to this girl whilst wearing his dressing gown. Returning just in time to hear her next question, he eyed the notepad nervously.
"w-what questions would t-those be?"

She smiled at him again, [yellow]Pleased to meet you William. Do you mind if I call you Will?[/yellow] Settling comfortably where she sat, she opened the pad and flicked through to find the page of questions. Her scrawly, spiderwebby handwriting covering the page. [yellow] You said that it isn't great to change into a wolf when you have to, so why is that? Do you dislike wolves, or is it painful each time?[/yellow] Kate was curious to know whether it was painful to change each time. [yellow]And is your, curse slash gift twined with the tidings of the moon? Do you always have to change when it is at its fullest or can you change whenever you want?[/yellow] She was enjoying this immensely. the people at her old school would be so jealous if they knew she was talking to a werewolf, and in with the chance of possibly being alloweed to enter their secret world. She sat a little taller, pencil poised to write down anything he said. She wondered if the other werewolves would allow her into their world. Shaking her head to rid it of thoughts, she focused on the task in front of her and waited for her answers.

"heh...G-go ahead; everyone tends to"
He flopped down in the seat opposite her and gave her a good long stare while he tried to work out an answer to her question. Now that her scent was familiar to him, he was able to detect and sort his way through the mix; a small perk of being a werewolf. He could smell the scent of new fabric mixed in there and...hair dye?
It looked like something had forced this girl rather recently to want to change her appearance. Or maybe he was just jumping to conclusions. He coughed and squirmed a little in his seat, unsure of how to answer.
"w-well...Y-yes and no. I-I mean- oh God, this is hardly something I want to-...I-It does hurt, alright? A-a lot. But it's also r-rather.."
He paused. Rather what? Addictive? Euphoric? How did one describe the feeling of the change to someone who had never experienced it? He felt a sudden wave of gratitude to Peri and their shared knowledge of the curse. Everything seemed so much simpler when they shared something so close.
"...I-it's something one wants t-to keep doing..."
He managed weakly, not sure if he liked where this was going. But he still chuckled slightly at her next question, remembering the morning a few days before.
"A-as for the changes...T-they happen w-whenever the wolf wants t-them to...I-I've never r-really noticed if the moon i-is full or not when i-it happens, it just...does..."
He hoped faintly that this would be enough for the girl.

She nodded as he spoke slowly, picking his words. [yellow] So changing is, in effect, like a drug that you can never give up?[/yellow] This was turning out to be more than she'd ever hoped for. Her pencil scribbled furiously on the page as she hurried to get his words down. She should have got one of those recording thingys. As he spoke again, her eyes widened a little. So legend was wrong? A wolf didn't have to change at the full moon? Well, that must be nice to have the freedom to change whenever you want, even if you don't want to be a wolf. Nodding again, her pencil continued moving across the page. Once it looked like he'd finished speaking, she balanced the pencil on the top of the tilted pad and read out her next question. [yellow]Are all your senses heightened? And does being a werewolf make you physically enhanced - for example, would you be able to run the 100m faster than Usain Bolt?[/yellow] She picked up the pencil and crossed out a section, rewriting it quickly before asking again, [yellow]How many are there here, Eden Town, and where are the others if there are any? And, sorry if you think this question is a little cheeky but, is werewolf sex better than human?[/yellow] She winked at him, a wicked smile on her lips. She knew she wasn't supposed to tell anyone, but if he answered that one she was so putting it online!

Stepping out of her apartment with a long yawn, Peri ran a hand through her hair, blinking hard as the sun hit her through the large window in the stairwell, stretching to try and rouse herself. She was due to work the lunchtime shift at The Red Dragon, thus being dressed in her work uniform, her hair pinned up with an old golden dragon clip to boot, feeling like putting in a tad more effort today. Peri was happy, which was a strange occurrence for such an early time of day, even humming to herself softly as she locked her door, slipping her keys back into her handbag before setting off down the corridor.
The undeniable grin on her face was from one reason, and one reason only. For the past few days, Peri had discovered something in her life that truly made her happy. Well, happy amongst a whole lot of other emotions, but mostly happy. And that very something lived two doors down from her... Slowing slightly as she walked past Will's apartment, she paused slightly, realizing his door was open just a crack. Peering at it with confusion, and even slight worry, she took a hesitant step forward, listening hard to make sure he was at least okay. Maybe he'd just left for work and forgot to shut his door properly...
Wait. Voices...? Creeping closer, Peri looked through the crack in the door, startled to see there was a young woman in his apartment, seeming to be... Interviewing him? Her protective nature sparked up rage in the pit of her stomach, wondering who this girl was and what the hell she was doing in her... Her... Something's apartment.
Then she heard her final question, loud and clear. A few key words stood out the most to Peri, being 'werewolf' and 'sex'.
What.
Suddenly blinded by rage, Peri barelled through the front door, metaphoric guns blazing, her eyes flashing with rage.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
She snarled angrily at the girl, her teeth already lengthing into fangs, and her nails thickening to sharp claws. Quickly realizing that her enterence probably would make them both think that she'd very well knocked the door down, as well as implied she'd sat listening at the door for this very moment, she quickly added;
"...You left your front door open, by the way."

William felt a very warm blush suddenly creep across his cheeks at Kate's final question. ...A small part of him hoped Peri never heard of this. He could imagine she'd be all for experimenting come the next change...
"I-I can hardly s-say I-"
But his frantic stammering was suddenly cut short by a raging Peri, dressed and groomed and primed for waitress action, charging into his apartment. Even in the midst of his sudden terror, he couldn't help but feel a little warm glow at the protective, albeit raving mad, look in her eye.
"...O-oh.."
he managed in a tiny, meek voice.

Kate shot up from her perch as a young woman stormed into the room, swearing. Her brown and reddish hair was flying about. The first thing the human thought about doing was putting her hands in the air but then she thought, no way! I have't done anything wrong? What is wrong with this girl? Then she saw her hands. Ah, maybe a werewolf? As the stranger snarled at her, Kate snarled right back. She may be human, but she could still be a bitch. [yellow] What do I think I'm doing? I'm just asking Will here some questions that won't get him hurt.[/yellow] She put emphasis on the last few words. What did this little whore think she was doing? This was someones apartment! Bending down, never taking her eyes off the stranger, she picked up the pad and pencil, showing them to her. [yellow]See? Just a few harmless questions.[/yellow] She placed the implements where she had been sitting, and put her hands on her hips. [yellow]Now get out. This ain't your place now is it so get lost![/yellow] Kate was taking no crap today. The man, William, was flighty, and she would just scare him off, plus, she was so close to getting the answers she wanted, Kate wouldn't let some idiot ruin it

Eyes narrowing to slits, they flashed crimson, fighting back to urge to growl at the girl, tensing as she squared up to her. Oh the nerve of this girl. Just a few harmless questions? What right did this girl have to ask him questions? This girl's scent was human, there was no mistaking it, although the strong smell of hair dye was making her feel a little bit sick. No human had any business worming her way into that of a werewolf's.
"And just what makes you think you have any right pestering him for your damn stupid answers, little girl?"
Her voice dripped venom, hands curling into fists, severely tempted to smash this irritating child's face in. If it wasn't for the fact that Will would probably have a heart attack if she left a human bleeding on the floor of his apartment, she already would have.
"This may not be my place, but somehow I don't think it's yours, either, now is it? I really don't think it's your place to be telling me to get lost."
Her lip curled, mocking the girl's own words. She wasn't going to just stand back at let this girl tell the world just what werewolves were, not to mention how to find them... And what would happen to Will? If the hunters didn't get to him first, she knew that the packs would certainly have something to say about this! What was he thinking?
