"...Ah." Sam nodded awkwardly, catching his drift. Pressing a wad of gauze over the first of the two cuts, he gently pulled Peri into more of a sitting position, the weak young woman grimacing in pain, crying out slightly. She was beginning to feel stronger, but the sudden tensing of her stomach muscles ripped a new pain through her, but she held on, knowing it was necessary to get bandaged up.
"All I can suggest is, perhaps you go and grab both of your clothes while I get Miss. Hastings bandaged up?" He asked thoughtfully, while beginning to wrap the white surgical bandages around the woman's waist, grabbing another wad of gauze to secure over the second cut, wrapping from just under her ribs down to just above her hips in bandages. Securing them with a small amount of surgical tape, he began to dig in the kit again, looking for antibiotics.

William flinched back at Peri's cry of pain, his ears pressed flat against his head in distress. He wanted to help, to do...anything! Anything at all to help Peri, but what was there to do when one had four paws, a tail and fangs? And he doubted the sudden appearance of a naked man in the clearing would help if anyone were to stop by. His ears perked up at the man's next suggestion, pulling himself back to his feet and nodding slightly.
i-if you...W-will she be alright i-if I..
He shook his head and quickly turned to go, not wanting to think about the hurt Peri and what he could have done to...stop it. Seeking solace in following an order instead, he quickly darted into the undergrowth, bounding past the edge of the river and making his way back towards the bridge.
He returned 20 minutes later, the small duffel bag that contained their clothes clasped tightly in his mouth. It had occured to him as he made his way back across the bridge, eyes tightly shut, that it would have made more sense for him to change and bring Peri's clothes back with him that way. But at this point he was hardly thinking straight, and he wanted to make his way back to her as quickly as he could.

After Will had gone bounding off in search of their clothing, Samuel pulled a small tray of pills from the kit and a bottle of water, popping two and trying to support Peri's neck so that she could swallow comfortably. "I need you to take these, they'll make you feel much better." He instructed soothingly, Peri grimacing slightly but managing to take the painkillers with some effort, gulping them down with water.
Allowing her to lay back down, Samuel removed his gloves and packed away his things into his satchel, a few minutes before Will returned with the duffel, nodding at the wolf before he rose to his feet.
"My car is parked through the trees just down there. I'll leave you to Change, just let me know if you need any help." He hovered awkwardly for a moment before taking off in the direction of his car, leaving Will and Peri alone to Change and get dressed. Peri opened her eyes to look at Will, her vision still a little hazy, but the painkillers were doing their work, allowing her to function a little better.
"I-I'll be fine to do t-this myself, Will..." She still spoke a little weakly, pulling herself - albeit with some difficult - into a half sitting position, she managed to pull the duffel over to her, pulling out her clothes and beginning to attempt to struggle into them, managing the bra and shirt, but seeming to come into a wall of difficult when she was faced with her underwear and shorts.

William watched the man walk off down the hill before turning to Peri, his eyes dark with concern as she struggled into a sitting position. Quickly he trotted over to support her, nudging her with his furry side until she seemed stable and able to sit up on her own.
Pausing to watch her paw at the duffel bag, he quickly turned and trotted behind a tall tree, leaving Peri with some privacy to get herself changed. Under the cool green shade of the leaves, William flopped to the grassy floor and tried to concentrate on changing back, the wolf giving a little whimper of slight pain as paws began to shrink into hands and bones elongated into longer limbs. It felt...Wrong...Either way it always felt strange and wrong to change back or forth.
Once it was over William allowed himself a few moments to take in a few great lungfuls of breath before sitting up, flexing his fingers and stretching out his aching limbs. Pulling himself to his feet, he ran a hand through his messy hair and glanced round the tree trunk to check on Peri.

Managing to pull on the remainder of her clothes, Peri flopped back to the floor, somewhat exhausted by the effort, closing her eyes to try and quell the pounding in her head and level her breathing. Slipping on her shoes once she'd recovered, she made an attempt at rising to her feet, the exertion causing her to cry out as pain ripped through her stomach, crashing to the ground once more, face screwed up in pain.
"God... fucking... damnit..." She gasped, her hands balling into tight fists of pain, anger and determination. She wasn't just going to sit around like some invalid and burden Will... She imagined that the poor guy was going to try and take care of her back at her apartment too... It wasn't fair on him to have to run around after her like this.
Trying again, she grimaced, but managed to make it up into a vaguely standing position, slightly doubled over, but standing. One hand gripping around her waist to try and lessen the pain, she panted a little, waiting for Will to be finished before she would make her way down to where Samuel had parked his car.

Seeing Peri rise painfully to her feet, swearing lightly under her breath as she did so, her hand clasped tightly around her stomach, William felt a little whimper of sorrow escape his throat.
He was such a fool; a complete stranger they'd known for little under half an hour had provided more help and advice to Peri than he had, and now here he was, hiding behind a tree rather than going out and helping her. ...Well...He was quite naked...But that was rather besides the point...
"P-peri? Peri, a-are you alright?"
He called nervously, stepping out a little ways from the trees, half eying the duffel bag a short distance away. And what a stupid question; of course she wasn't alright!

"I... I-I'm fine, Will." Peri replied shortly, trying to sound as strong and certain as possible, but her voice still strained heavily with pain, beginning to stagger a little towards the trees that Samuel had disappeared through, before realizing the predicament that Will was in, and stooping slightly to try and pick up the duffel, groaning in agony as she did so, but managing to hook her fingers around it before she had to straighten up.
Breathing heavily, she took a moment before hurling it in his direction, just about getting it as far as the tree he was behind, unsteadily sinking into a sitting position on the ground, her stomach hurting too much to stand for the moment.
"T-there... Sorry about that..." She murmured, rubbing her face tiredly, trying to rest her wounded stomach. At least she could still be of some sort of use...

Cringing back slightly at Peri's hasty words, William quickly scrabbled for the little cloth bag, his fingers digging into the strings to drag out his rumpled clothes. Quickly scrambling into a pair of boxers and a set of old, rather worn trousers, he stepped hesitantly from behind the tree. Though trying to look nonchalant as he fumbled with his shirt buttons, in reality William's heart was beating hard and fast with worry for the woman sat slumped in the clearing.
She was upright and talking, that was true, and didn't look liable to collapse again, but that didn't stop the little man from worrying. Shirt thus buttoned, he scurried over to her, his mouth a scared little pout.
"W-would you...I-I mean..."
He coughed, remembering the bridge and unsure of how to help Peri without injuring her fierce pride.
"I-I think I-I might have forgotten w-where the care is...I-Intheconfusionofthechange...W-would you...L-like to show me?"
He finished pathetically, offering her his arm even as he knew that she would probably see right through his poor lie.

Fighting back her initial instinct to march on unaided, Peri took a deep breath, trying to remind herself that it was just manners and that he wasn't pitying her. Just manners. At the very least she would try on her own first... Placing her palms flat on the ground, she began to push herself up onto her feet, gritting her teeth so as not to groan as her muscles tensed, eyes narrowed to slits and face a mask of steely determination.
With a final push, she was back on her feet, albeit the slight residue of tears having collected in the corners of her eyes from doing so. Shaking her head slightly, she exhaled heavily, before nodding wearily at Will, lightly placing on hand on his arm to show gratitude for the gesture, but to silently explain that she wanted to do this on her own. "It's... this way."
With that, she began to set off down the small incline towards Samuel's car, a little slowly with laboured, pained steps, but eventually his car came into sight, with the doctor waiting outside, leant against it with a clouded, concerned look on his features.
"Everything okay?" He asked when he saw them, attempting to sound bright and cheery to lighten the mood. Quickly moving to open the rear passenger door for Peri, he helped her inside - more by the gentle force that only a doctor could pull off than by choice - before moving round to open the other door for Will, offering the man a faint smile. "She's going to be fine... Just make sure she lets you help her out once in a while... Being firey isn't always a positive." He said, trying to give him at least a little peace of mind.

Feeling a small sense of rejection welling up inside of him, William made his way slowly after Peri, treading carefully in his bare feet to avoid pine needles and holly leaves sticking into his soles as he picked his way steadily forwards.
He nodded dejectedly at the Doctor as he came into sight over the rise of the hill, allowing Peri to be helped inside the waiting car before approaching himself, tugging self consciously at his shirtsleeves.
"F-fine...I-I hope"
Making his way round to the opposite door, his face still a picture of hang-dog pitifullness, he tried a weak chuckle at the man's remark before sliding inside.
"Heh...W-well..O-one can try, I-I suppose"

Sliding into the driver's seat once everyone was in the car, Samuel dug for his keys in his pocket before slipping them into the ignition, judging by Will's dejected expression that he probably shouldn't ask too many more questions about what was obviously rather the complex situation.
Leaving her seatbelt undone to avoid putting pressure on her injured stomach, Peri lolled against the passenger door, casting a quick glance in Will's direction, frowning a little as she saw how upset he looked, figuring that she may well have hurt his feelings... just a little. Sighing subtly, she reached out and gently laced her fingers through Will's, a silent apology for the trouble she'd ended up causing them, not wanting to have to come out and say it. Especially not in front of Dr. Bailey, who had already managed to see her naked today. Not the greatest introduction of all time...
"You guys live over at the Royal Apartment Complex, right?" Samuel called back, pulling out onto the main road, before heading in that direction after Peri's nod of confirmation, the journey fairly short before the car pulled into the complex's parking lot, finding an empty parking space as close to the doors as possible for Peri's sake.
"Okay, Miss. Hastings, take the painkillers I gave you, two every four hours three times a day, and you'll be find in no time. If you have any more problems then just come down and see me at Audley Mill's Surgery, okay?" Peri winced a little, mostly at how bright and cheery the man sounded, before opening the passenger, carefully swinging her legs around to try and make getting out of the car a little easier. "I will do... thanks again, Dr. Bailey. You saved my ass out there, heh." She mustered as much of a smile as she could manage, before getting out of the car, using the door to steady herself a little before slamming it behind her, waiting for Will before heading to the foyer.
