The russet furred wolf padded silently through the dappled light that threaded its way through the forest. She shook out the fur around her neck, stretching up her dark muzzle to scent the air. The fresh smells of the forest and of water running nearby rushed to greet her nose. Her sister had held back a day or two, preferring to stay in the capital city of Romania for a little longer. Belle supposed she would miss the night life of the bug cities, since she didn't know whether Bucharest would have the same facilities.
Breaking into a run, the red-coloured female ran for a few minutes, enjoying the feeling of speed, and of energy exertion before reaching the bridge. Sniffing the air again, she scented stale signature scents of certain wolves she had not yet met. Hearing a twig snap to her left, she whipped her delicate face around, green eyes searching the dim light. Belle saw nothing, and turned away. She hoped she would meet someone kind enough to welcome her and her sister here.

Shane ran through the forest at top speed, annoyed with what he had just found out through his investigations. His sister was mated off with Seth Amos. He snorted as he ran. Shane was going back to Bucharest because if any Infiniteria wolves saw him on their land he'd be slaughtered. He chuckled to himself at the stupidity. He was their Beta Female's brother and they would still probably kill him. As soon as the midnight black drake got to the area he knew to be 'The Bridge', he slowed and flared his nostrils. He could smell a fae, clear as day. He lifted his nose to wafe the air again. Then he spotted her. Beautiful. He blinked a few times and yipped softly to the fae. Her scent was Validus, and because of that he figured he could spend some time to get to know her.

Belle padded away from the Bridge a little, back into the forest. The sun was surprisingly warm for spring, and the fae enjoyed the feeling. Hearing a little yip, the female turned to see an ebony drake standing a little way off. The first thought that whipped through her mind was how handsome he was. The way his dark, ashen fur shined in the light, it glanced straight into her eyes, making them glint. She gave a wolfy smile, and approached. Lifting her nose again, she sniffed. Validus.
Reaching the male, she pressed her nose into the thick, warm fur of his chest, inhaling his scent. Stepping back, she lowered her head a little to show him respect. I am Belle Khoury, newly joined as a Validus Scout. Who are you? She was a little wary of him, as she did not know him, despite what her nose was telling her, ever since her mate and son had been murdered, she would never trust anything until she'd seen it with her own eyes. When the fae touched his chest and inhaled his foresty and masculine scent, he stood completely still. He had never been touched by a girl other than Luschka, his mother, Isabel, or Saniyah. He grinned at her and his eyes changed from their normal gold to a striking neon orange. Flaring his nostrils as he slightly bowed--as Shane is always a gentleman--he introduced himself formally. My name is Shane Desmile. I am the Head Scout of Validus. It is a pleasure to meet you, Belle. Smiling once more he stood, watching her. She was incredibly beautiful in her wolf form. He couldn't wait to see how beautiful she was in her human form.

Belle would have blushed a light pink if she had been in human form as the male bowed to her. She had never been treated with such formality before. Ducking her head shyly, her thick tail wagged as he spoke. Her ears instantly pricked up as he said that he was Head Scout. I might be working with him a little more then, feeling oddly pleased about that.
Her eyes flashed with his, and she grinned widely at him, liking him. She wondered if there were any other Validus wolves who were as welcoming as Shane. Her eyes focused on him. There was something so familiar about him... [aqua]Have we met before?[/aqua] Belle was sure that they had. Shaking out the thick russet fur around her neck, she licked her lips, and let her nose sift through some of the scents around her. She instantly found the scent of hare, and although she didn't like hunting, didn't like the killing part, her belly rumbled, and she lifted a forepaw from the ground and sniffed again. Honing in on the smell, she took a great leap toward the leaf litter below a large oak and her paws found the soft, warm, brown-furred body of a huge male hare. Her jaws snapped over his jugular quickly so he felt no terror, and the slide of ugly, familiar guilt of taking another's life. Belle whispered a prayer to send the hares spirit on swiftly. Turning back to Shane, she smiled again and motioned for him to join her.
