Autumn laughed as she ran, letting her energy out. It felt amazing to let go and just go with her wolf instincts instead of thinking with her human mind. When William called her though, she stopped mid stride and whipped around to wait for him. Wow. She had been really far ahead. Laughing to herself, she started wagging her tail again as he approached. He was fun. A nice guy. Aut could see he was going to be a good friend of hers. She smiled a stupid grin, playfully and silently mocking him for not being fast enough to keep up with her. Looking at him she could see him. Not just the outside, but his soul. Autumn laughed softly and padded a step closer. How ahout this time, we run and you keep up? She chuckled as she looked him in the eyes.

William felt his tongue hang from his mouth as he approached, panting heavily, the large she-wolf. He gave her a faintly offended look, but not too put off; he reminded himself he had to be careful around any wolf he encountered. Especially if they heard about his little slip up with a human earlier in the week... He shivered and pushed the thought from his mind, cursing himself for still fretting over the wolf and her pack connections.
Glancing up at her words, he managed a weak smile.
O-or maybe you might l-like to s-slow down?
he shook himself and flicked an ear
I-I can hardly keep up l-like this!

Autumn chuckled and slowed to a fast trot-like gait. Seeing as he was still running she thought of slowing down but he was keeping up now. Cocking her head as she trotted--she wasn't even breathing heavier than usual!--she started asking questions. So since we are going to be friends, I figure I should know more about you. What's your favorite color? What's your favorite animal? How about your favorite food? And what's your full name? Also, do you drink coffee? If so, how do you like it? Black? Or with cream and/or milk? OH! And--I don't mean to be rude or anything--but do you know why you stutter? She pelted the questions at him quickly, and fluently. One right after the next with no hesitation. Smiling, she looked at him as they went quickly through the forest.

William soon found himself falling into a nice, if rather exhausting, step with the she-wolf. The grass falling away beneath their paws, bushes and scrub and trees falling past on either side as they sped along. The torrent sudden questions made William laugh at first, stammering to keep up as the larger wolf happily let loose.
W-well I...erm...l-lets s-see now...B-Blue...I-Isuppose...I-I can hardly say I have one...I'll e-eat anything really...Y-you have to l-living on my pay....I-I'm just William...a-and I-
He paused at the last question, his ears flicking back slightly as he glanced away. He knew his stammer could sometimes seem a little odd, especially in confident circumstances with people he knew. And he also knew that it wasn't something he was born with, or something he couldn't control.
...T-that's hardly polite t-to ask...A-and I do...y-yes

Autumn cocked her head as he answered the last question. The side of her velvety lip twitched up a little in an effort to make him feel better--even the slightest bit. She felt like an ass-hole for asking. I'm sorry. That wasn't an aproppriate thing to ask...but...since you know...may I ask why? She started to slow down and then soon she came to a complete hault. She was truely curious to why this happened, as she had never met someone with a stutter before. She sat, never taking her eyes off him.

I-I...erm...w-well...heh...F-funny story
William slowed down to a lumbering gait, brushing past the sharp bark of a tree, his ears still down as he tried to think of how to reply to this. It was hardly as if he wanted to blurt out everything about himself to this pack wolf he had met barely an hour ago. But William also hated to sound rude or impolite to anyone. But what if she looked down on bitten wolves? What if learning that he wasn't born...as he was...lead to complications? He sighed. Oh well.
B-becoming a-a werewolf...d-didn't a-agree with me
