Two scents bubbled from under the door. Voices, mumbled words worked their way into his audits and he picked out Lu's, finding it easily, but found the male's voice was unknown to him. Already on edge, when he heard the male at the door but didn't open it, he had to force himself to stay emotionless and normal. He was on the human's territory, even if his pack claimed it as their home.
However, the look on Luschka's face when she opened the door and found him standing there was priceless, so priceless, in fact, that he almost started chuckling, if it wasn't for the quick glimpse of the human male behind her. Once she was outside and basically slammed the door in the poor guy's face, he breathed in deeply to speak but found her scent had changed. Reaching out, he grabbed ahold of the shirt she was wearing and sniffed at the hem of the sleeve. Light honey orbs flashed as he glared at his Beta Female.
Eyebrows shot up as he released his Beta Female and shook his head to try and release the mated scent that was trapped in his nostrils. The growl that escaped from his throat surprised even him. It was a deep rumbling warning, a simple reminder that he was Alpha and explained nothing. "You should tell me what's going on . . . and quickly. Your . . . . mate won't stay behind that door for long,"
[/color] he growled, his voice low and harsh, eyes glowing as he glared down at the female. He felt more like a father than an Alpha at the moment, but the fact that she had been mated without his consent felt wrong to him . . . Something wasn't right here.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote] |

Luschka frowned guiltily. Yes, she had mated. She hadn't expected him to act this way though. She looked at him confused at first and then shook her head. She put her hands out in a way that would spell ou 'I surrender.' Obviously he didn't know who Seth was and she was greatful for that. Okay, I can explain. I've been seeing this guy for a while now and I really like him, Eclipse. I don't know why you're being so protective. It's not like you. Well kinda, but you've never been this way towards me. Why? She cocked her head. She was really curious to what his answer would be.
She continued to tap her toes and she started to purse her lips. Her weight was on her left leg, as she had a very bad habit of doing that when she was in deep thought. What was Eclipse's problem? Oh and before he blew her secret, she had to tell him Seth didn't know. Oh, and by the way, he doesn't know. Anything. She looked at Eclipse with a serious look and nodded once as to say, 'okay?'. She flared her nostrils and cracked her neck and back out of habit too. |

Seth had been confused at Luschka's sudden action. He at first had thought about listening in, but decided against it. He didn't have a real reason to eavesdrop, though a man talking to Luschka did make him nervous. Despite his workers clothes, he could see that this guy was a threat. Well, not a physical threat...where was he going with that?
He sighed, shaking the thought from his mind before moving down his hallway. He left the door unlocked, and moved to his living room where the papers he had been studying yesterday were still scattered on the desk. He organized them, many of them small maps that he had marked where werewolf activity had been seen.

Why? He was acting out of the norm? Grunting, Eclipse looked down at the tapping foot, and put a boot on top of it. "You are . . . "
[/color] he couldn't just come out and say she was 'his' even though it was true. As a pack member in his pack, she belonged to him, but it was a double edged sword because he belonged to the entire pack. Whatever they needed, he would give them, no questions asked. "You are important to the family,"[/color] he stated, glaring at the door. "I try not to show you all favoritism. Too much work for me in the end,"[/color] he stated, case in point, he had had to leave work early to follow up on this little tid bit of information about his Beta. His next question was going to be about how much the male knew, but she was his Beta Female for a reason. "Protect the . . . family, that's all I ask,"[/color] he stated, though he had a nagging feeling in the back of his neck. "But this time something doesn't feel right. Bring your little . . . mate out here, or we can do this . . . . whatever this is, inside. Your choice,"[/color] he growled, picking his foot up as if he was about to kick in the door, but he paused, giving her the option of introducing him or him introducing himself.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote] |

Luschka looked at him not believing this. Okay, let's not be hasty now. I think he wouldn't really like it if you broke down his door. She opened the door and motioned for Eclipse to follow. God. He is so moody today. I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself. He's acting like he.....no. He couldn't actually.....nu-uh. She was about to say like her but she couldn't believe that he would think of her in that way. Weird. She shook involentarily. Seth, honey, I would like you to meet someone. She called for Seth who was no longer in sight.
Lu pursed her lips and closed the door behind Eclipse. This was going to be really awkward. She hoped Seth didn't tell Eclipse his last name. That wouldn't end pretty. She looked at Eclipse and couldn't help but smile though. He always made her smile. No matter how he was feeling or looking. She mock punched him and then crossed her arms back over her chest lightly. She could hear Seth approaching them from another area of the house. Wow. She had spent the night here and she didn't even know half the apartment. |

Seth's head had snapped when his door opened. Ah, right he'd already unset the traps last night. He heard Luschka call him, and couldn't help but smile and shake his head. He felt like he'd just been caught doing something wrong, which he was pretty sure not the case.
His head popped into the main hallway, seeing that she had brought the man inside. Well, at least this meant he was a person he should be meeting. He approached them, a thick brow raising before his arms crossed in front of him. It was a habit, he liked the feeling of a barrier in front of him.
"Is he one of your friends, Luschka?" he had already met one of Luschka's friends, and the young girl had pulled him aside for 'a talk'. He only hoped that he wasn't going to have another one of those. Upon realizing he was being rude, which wasn't rare for him, he extended a hand. "I'm Seth."

Eclipse let slide a rare grin as he stepped inside. Yeah, something was off with him. He seriously needed a vacation, anything to relax and let him get things figured out. Shaking his head, he settled just in time for Luschka's mate to pop his head around a corner. And we swipe a paw in a downward motion and the human's throat was torn open. He had to shake his head to rid the male's living room of the bloody daydream. Yes, he really did need a vacation.
As the male walked into his own living room and crossed his arms, Eclipse did the same. Don't know why, being an Alpha he had gotten use to being the biggest and the baddest and having this guy stand before him like he was some hot shot pricked his blood. However, when this 'Seth' extended his hand and gave a name, Eclipse just lifted a lip in a mock snarl. "I'm Eclipse. How long do you plan on staying in our sleepy little town?"

Luschka elbowed Eclipse. What was wrong with him!? She growled so low that it would be inaudible to Seth, but Eclipse was sure to hear it. Eclipse. Don't be an ass. Introduce yourself properly. Goodness gracious. She felt like a mother trying to get two little boys to play nice with eachother. Accept, they were both older than her and she was being the mature one. She was standing and equal distance away from both, in between them. This was insane. They needed to grow the hell up. She looked at Eclipse waiting for him to respond to her command. Sure, he might be the Alpha, but she had a point. He was being an ass.
Lu sighed and rolled her eyes. This was rediculous. Just plain childish. She pursed her lips and started tapping her toes again. She always did this. It was a bad habit of hers and like everyone always said, bad habits die hard. She looked from Seth to Eclipse, and then back to Seth. This was taking too long. She groaned and grabbed Eclipse's hand, placed it in Seth's, shook it for them, and then dropped both hands, letting them fall to their sides. You guys are unbelievable. She turned to Eclipse and raised her eyebrows as to say, go on. Though she was being a little mean to him she knew he knew she loved him. Not in the way that she loved Seth, but more in a brother way. But now his feelings were becoming blurred to her. |

Seth couldn't help the frown that crossed his features at Eclipse's reply. He glared now, arms crossing again as he stood firmly planted in his hallway. His jaw clenched, that festering anger building in his chest again. It was the feeling that surfaced when he fought werewolves, and gave him an edge in battle. The blind rage that tossed all self-preservation instincts out the window. Currently though it was only causing him to imagine the knife he had hidden in his sleeve embedding in this smart ass' shoulder. He wouldn't be able to work very well with a knife in him, would he?
"Oh, I haven't really decided yet." he replied coolly, almost mocking. "A few weeks, months..." he shrugged, "Is there a problem?" Luschka had a way of making him more talkative and personable, but this guy only caused the aggressiveness in him to surface.

The moment Luschka took his hand, Eclipse pricked her hand with a sharp nails, but pulled his claws back when his hand touched the other male's had. "You and I will talk about this another time,"

Hearing that the male had intentions to possibly staying but it was his mocking tone that granted on his nerves. Luschka sighed and looked at Eclipse. This was not going well--though she had to admit it was going a lot better than she thought it would. Maybe what Eclipse needed was a hug. She stifled a laugh at this. But she wasn't very successful. She let out a puff of air that sounded like 'pffft' and she shook her head. She forced herself to be serious. Oh Eclipse, stop being difficult. He won't try to hurt the family. She hugged him tightly ignoring his struggles to get free. Patting his head calmingly, she moved away. If he's not calm now, I don't know what will calm him down.
Lu sighed and went to stand by Seth's side. She needed to remind Eclipse that Seth was her mate now. Eclipse had to accept that. Lu looked at Seth lovingly and touched his face softly. Eclipse needed to understand how she felt for him. She didn't think he would be able to know just by watching her touch him like this, but it was be really awkward if anything else happened. She lightly touched Seth's back to calm him down. She knew how horrible his temper could get. |

Seth's expression went from irritated to confusion. Hurt his family? Jeez, he was getting a second 'talk' from Luschka's friends, but this time instead of a young girl it was a tough guy. Though if all of her friends were this protective, it only showed him she had good people around her. Rude or not rude, this Eclipse guy was just trying to keep his friend safe.
Which was probably wise, seeing as how he was a werewolf hunter.
He looked at Luschka as she stood beside him, and he couldn't help but shoot Eclipse a taunting look. She was siding with him, so that was an automatic victory as far as he could see.
"I never had the intention of hurting Luschka." he finally responded, "If anything, you're the one causing harm with accusations. I think Luschka is smart enough and strong enough to make her own decisions."

The hug that Luschka gave him caused his whole body to seize up. He didn't like being trapped, didn't mind being touched by his pack, it happened often seeing as wolves were naturally like that. But being trapped like that in a hug, it caused him great discomfort. Once released, he glared at his Beta Female, she knew he didn't like to be hugged yet . . . Sighing, he shook his head.
There was no point. As he watched her interact with the human, he saw a genuine love between the two, even if it was a little odd. His Beta Female had taken a human male as a mate . . . which could lead to the human male being his Beta Male? Shaking his head, Eclipse heard what Seth stated, but he knew he wasn't causing Lu harm, just annoying the hell out of her. "If this is what you want, Lu . . . "
[/color] he stated, waiting for a simple nod of the head, nothing more. However, the last part of Seth's statement caught his attention. "We are all strong enough and smart enough to make our own decisions. I wouldn't accept anything less . . . . What is your last name?"[/color] he asked, head slightly cocked to the side. It was an odd statement, but he realized that he didn't have the entire name of the man that was his Beta Female's mate.It bothered him.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote] |

Luschka nodded once, just as she knew he wanted. Of course this was what she wanted. She loved Seth. She was suddenly becoming calm. But then Eclipse asked Seth his last name. Oh shit! She stopped breathing for a second and at the same time her heart froze, then picked up in double time. Oh no. This was horrible. Oh my God. No. This was actually going as she had expected. And that was bad. Lu took a small step forward, ready to protect who she needed, but at this moment, she didn't know who that was.
Looking nervously at Eclipse, she turned her attention to Seth. Oh god, please have some fake last name you tell people, she chanted to Seth. Too bad he wasn't a werewolf. She could use their wolfy connection to tell him what she needed to. This stunk. She was probably going to die in a few minutes and she hadn't even had a mate for a day. She was only nineteen. She was starting to wonder if God hated her. Or if she just kept fighting fate, trying to keep herself alive. Hell, she really hoped this didn't turn bloody fast. Or at all really. She whimpered internally. |

Ah, he had forgotten to fully introduce himself. "Seth Amos." he wrapped an arm around Luschka's waist, pulling her gently against his side. It was his good side, thankfully, and he didn't have to worry about his stitches.
He didn't notice Luschka's sudden nervousness, though he wouldn't have been able to interpret it anyways. His name didn't have any meaning to the average person, but was well known within the hunter and werewolf community. The only other Amos family member more famous than him was his uncle, and that was because his uncle had been his mentor. "And your full name?"
