Catina's paws hit the wooden bridge hard, her breathing heavy as she leapt down to the water's edge. She dipped to the left as an arrow lodged itself into the ground where she had landed only a moment before. Sometimes, she loved that she had been a game hunter before being bitten.
She heard the hunter yell at her, and quickly scrambled back to her feet before bolting towards the tree line. She had a limp where the hunter's trap had originally caught her, but she wasn't new to the mechanisms. It took only a few moments to get out, but it wasn't fast enough, for the hunter was already on her heels. She yelped as her footing slipped and she tumbled into the ground, but continued to roll as another arrow lodged itself into a tree trunk.
This was a hunter who enjoyed chasing his prey. Damn, this guy was probably twisted too.

White paws hitting the ground, as her ears twitched from noises of arrows. A scent came to her nose. A scent to didn't want to smell but knew it was danger to the pack. Alicia followed the hunters scent, jumping over the bridge and stopping when she saw a arrow lodged into the ground. There was a wolf scent around it, but no blood. That was a good thing. The wolf wasn't hurt that was really good.
Alicia took off, following the scent until she heard a yelp. Pushing herself more, Alicia saw the hunter and growled, baring her teeth. The red wolf jumped into the air, and landed in front of the other wolf. "Are you alright?" she asked, growling at the hunter,

Catina moved to her feet, shaking the dirt from her fur as she moved from behind the new wolf and turned towards the hunter. He seemed to be thinking of fleeing, since two werewolves was suicide for most hunters. She bared her teeth at the man, a low growl coming from her throat. She barked at him, and he gave a startled jump before loosing another arrow.
Catina quickly dodged again. "I'm fine now, thank you." She finally responded, giving this red wolf a quick glance. She was grateful for the help, but wasn't about to let a stranger get hurt because of her. She didn't like owing other people favors.
"This punk isn't very good at his job though, he's a poor shot." she gave a wolfish snicker, giving a false lunge at the hunter. He stumbled, landing flat on his rear before scrambling to his feet. Catina had a feeling he was originally just a bow hunter that was looking for a new thrill. Well, she wanted to give him a thrill he would soon never forget.

Alicia heard the other wolf growl and dodged the arrow that was let loose from the hunter. Her mind wondered on how he was a hunter, but with a poor shot. She heard the other wolf answer her and she gave a nod before she parked at the hunter herself. The red wolf took a step towards the hunter and snapped at him. He jumped again and she let out a low rumbling snicker. This man was a poor excuse for a hunter, and Alicia was going to let him know that.
"Agreeable. Why don't we show him a little thrill he'll want to forget?" she asked, giving the female a look, as her green eyes let out a gleam of fun. Alicia jumped towards the hunter and watched him jump even when he had just gotten back to his feet. It was hilarious.[/blockquote]

Catina gave an agreeing bark, dancing from left to right as she fringed a few times. It was a habit from her fighting in the ring, while her mind thought of a method of attack. She had to keep from wagging her tail as this new comrade caused the hunter to fall back down. He looked about ready to cry, and was frantic to notch another arrow.
She growled, lunging forward. She was very small for a wolf, despite not being a pup. Her speed more than made up for it as her paws shoved into his chest. Her jaws clamped down on the bow, and she furiously shook her head to wrench it from his grasp before pushing off of him and back to the red wolf's side. She had been fast in case he had a knife, though her twisted ancle had protested.
"Not so big and mighty now, are you?" She growled at the hunter.

Alicia watched as the hunter fell back down and the other wolf lung forward and taking the bow out of his grasp. Good. No weapon, means a weak opponent. Alicia jumped onto the male and she shifted slightly, so that he would be able to hear and understand him. "I suggest you run. Run far and fast, otherwise, you won't live to see another day." she shifted back to her wolf form, and moved away from the hunter and watched him with steady green eyes.

Now weaponless, the hunters eyes were filled with fear. It didn't help him to see one of them semi shift on top of him. It sent shivers down his spine, and he gave a small squeak before darting off towards the bridge.
Catina gave a snort, pawing at the ground as she kicked at the bow with am irritated snarl. "The ironic part of this is that I enjoy bow hunting." She muttered bitterly before looking back at the red wolf. She gave a wag of her tail, dipping her head slightly in greeting. She wasn't sure how werewolves greeted one another, but this didn't seem like it would insult anyone. "Thank you for helping me"

Alicia watched as the hunter took off before she looked over to the other wolf. She sat down and looked at the female wolf next to her. "You're welcome." she said, dipping her head in greeting back. Looking around, Alicia shifted back to her human form. As a human, she has blonde hair that flows into waves around her face. With beautiful blue eyes that shone nothing but friendliness. And she wore jeans and a nice plaid shirt. "I'm Alicia Saber. Who are you?" she asked, giving her a soft smile.

Catina hesitated in shifting back. Her clothes were near the trap, and with her swollen ankle being a human would slow her down. As a wolf, Catinas fur was the same gold color as her hair, and it was wild much like her curls. She was petite though, which made others mistake her for a pup often.
She sat down, muzzle checking out her paw as she replied. "Catina. Are you a pack member? I don't mean to intrude on territory. I can't get out much because my fur color isn't native to this area."

Alicia noticed that the other girl didn't shift back into her human form. It confused Alicia at first but then she realized, the girl was hurt. Slowly, Alicia moved over to the girl, "Here, let me help you." she said, kneeling down to the wolves height and reached her hand towards the wolves paw. Alicia didn't try to get the paw, in case of hurting the animal. "It's nice to meet you Catina. I'm part of the Infiniteria pack and don't worry. You weren't intruding when it comes to being hunted."

Catina visibly let out a sigh of relief. The werewolf that had bitten her had left just as quickly as it had arrived, so she never had the opportunity to ask what was happening. She'd been surprised to wake up in her bed as a wolf, though not as surprised as her family. She was mostly grasping straws on what to do. She knew she should probably just ask another werewolf, but she was stubborn. She didn't want to change her lifestyle anymore than she already had.
As Alicia reached for Catina's paw, she stood so that it wasn't in an awkward position. "I think it's just sprained." she said, "It was a snare trap, luckily. He obviously wasn't thinking very thoroughly, and didn't realize I'm not just some animal that can't figure out how to untie a knot." she licked at the helping hands.

Alicia saw the sigh of relief and gave the girl a reassuring smile. The blonde wouldn't know what it would be like to be a human for the first part of her life and then being bitten by a werewolf that she probably, wouldn't even know. Alicia gently reached for the paw as she saw Catina shift so that it wasn't in a awkward position. Examining, Alicia ran her fingers slowly across the paw, making sure not to hurt Catina anymore than she already was.
Alicia listened to Catina as she spoke, saying that it was just sprained. She nodded in agreement and slowly put the paw down and listened to the rest of what Catina was saying. Alicia wasn't surprised that the hunter didn't think very thoroughly, if he had Catina wouldn't be here. "There are some, probably most hunters, are like the one that tried to kill you. Those are easy to escape but it's the few that know what they are doing and how to kill, that won't be so easy."

She stood again, testing her paw before her tail began to wag in a relaxed way. She shook the dirt from her golden fur, being sure not to get any of it on Alicia. "I used to hunt when I was a human. I never went after werewolves, but I've come to realize many use the same techniques I did when going after bears."
She moved to the water, placing her sprained paw into the chilled water. "We're not a bunch of dumb animals."

Alicia moved back just in time to see Catina shake the dirt out of her fur. Sitting down, Alicia listened to Catina tell her that she used to hunt when she was human. Blinking, the blonde leaned forwards, "You mean...you were bitten?" she asked, curiosity seeping into her voice. Of course, Alicia had met a few bitten werewolves, some were in Eclipse's pack, but never had she saved one from being killed by a hunter. Watching the wolf, Alicia moved near her hearing Catina saying that we weren't a bunch of dumb animals. "Ain't that the truth."

Catina paused for a moment, ears twitching as she pondered how to respond. She wasn't sure how often bitten werewolves were found. It would probably seem strange to bite people, if they want to keep out of trouble with humans as much as possible.
The werewolf that had bitten her she could hardly remember though, or that day at all. She remembered being in a lot of pain, then being found by her brothers. She only had a small faint scar on the back of her hand where it had bitten her, the crescent shaped scar already fading. She didn't know why she had been bitten, but she felt no contempt towards the werewolf that had bitten her. She didn't feel hatred towards any werewolves, even before becoming one. She had come across tracks while hunting, but had simply avoided conflict.
"Yes, I was bitten only a few years ago." she finally said, watching the water flow around her paw. She could feel the swelling stop, and knew within a few minutes she could probably walk normally. "I don't remember anything about it though." she added silently, hearing the curiosity in Alicia's voice. "It's been...different. I've managed to figure most of it out on my own." her tail wagged slightly, as she puffed her chest out. She was quite proud of herself for managing to finish school, and create her own business. She had left the support of her family, and had been on her own for a while now. Although becoming a werewolf had stopped her old life, the new one she was living wasn't bad.
