Xavier had stayed sitting in the chair where Michelle had left him at. His mind stayed on the fact that his fingers were still feeling like they had been shocked from their touch. What had seriously happened just then? he had never felt anything like that and now, he couldn't stop thinking about it. Sighing, Xavier got up and went to the kitchen. Searching for something to eat. For something that would take his mind off of what had just happened. And so far, he found nothing that would satisfy his stomach or mind.
Giving up on the food or drink, Xavier made his way to his room. Not realizing that the shower had stopped and Michelle had gone into his room. He went into his room, just to run into Michelle herself. Instantly, he brought up his hands to steady her in case she lost her balance and then let her step back to say sorry. Looking over to his bed, he saw his jacket and shook his head. "Don't be sorry. You were only returning my jacket." he said, giving her a smile before looking away from her. There was something about her. And he didn't know what it was.

Michelle felt Xavier's steadying hands on her arms as he kept her from losing her balance. Some sort of shock buzzed through her at his touch though and she gasped and stood back, gazing up at him with walls built around her, not letting him see anything in her eyes this time. She felt the edge of the bed right behind her and looked down, unable to remain glued to his intense gaze. He had a patch covering his other eye though. She noticed he had many piercings and she had to admit, it looked damn good on him. She quickly shrugged the thought from her mind and reprimanded herself for having thought it, sitting down on the edge of the bed. He then told her not to be sorry and she looked up at him, keeping her hands on the edges of the bed she nodded. He smiled at her yet again, a rare gesture that was starting to have a big effect on Michelle but this time she didn't smile back. She was wearing a sleeveless shirt and it clearly displayed the swallow tattoo on her back. The wounds in her neck were looking better now as well as the bruising on her legs and she stood up, a little too fast when suddenly her vision began to swim. She stumbled and fell, reaching for Xavier out of pure need...

Xavier watched her gasp slightly and he let her go. Fearing that he had hurt her, which was strange because he never thought of anything as of hurting anyone. He hardly had any emotions that he showed to begin with. So why now? Why around Michelle, a person he hardly knew. But he didn't stop her from looking away or sitting on his bed. Strange. He was letting a complete stranger sit on his bed, that was really strange for him. Xavier noticed the swallow tattoo that she had on her back , and surprisingly, he was very shocked of himself to like it. But then she got up and stumbled. Instantly, he reached for her and caught her before she landed on the floor. "Hey, take it easy, you're not completely healed." he said, picking her up in bridal style and putting her on his bed. "Lay down for a while and I'll go and get you something to drink. Alright?" he said.

Spots mingled with darkness, attempting to darken Michelle's vision as the floor came closer. Her arms instinctively outstretched to stop her fall but for some reason she never touched the floor. Blinking her eyes rapidly she noticed she was now looking up at Xavier. Groaning, she touched her head with a trembling hand, closing her eyes in pain. Somewhere in the back of her mind she wanted to thank him for catching her but she couldn't get the words passed her lips. His voice sounded heavenly, almost as if he were far away and she heard only a few words he was saying; something about taking it easy and that she wasn't completely healed. She laid her head against his chest and his heart beat soother her for a moment before he put her down on the bed. He said something about a drink and she opened her eyes, but barely, attempting a smile at him.
She curled up into a fetal position the moment he put her on the bed and held hear head between her hands. It was pounding deep into her ears. His smell was everywhere and she wondered if it could be what was causing her headache. Suddenly it seemed to fade and she opened her eyes wider. She still smelled him everywhere so that couldn't have been the cause. He came back and was holding a glass in his hand and she blinked slowly and nodded her head in appreciation,
"Sorry I'm so much trouble..."

Once Xavier had put her down, he watched her for a moment as she curled up into the fetal position on his bed and instantly, he wanted to comfort her. But he had promised something to drink and so, he left the room momentarily and went to the kitchen to actually get her something to drink. Opening one of the wooden cabinets, Xavier pulled out a glass cup and filled it up with nice cold water. He made sure that the water wasn't to cold, just so it would help her with the pain and anything else she needed.
Finally, he made his way back to the room and held out the glass for her. Xavier sat down on his bed, but made sure that he wasn't being is disrespectful towards Michelle, so after he gave her the glass he moved to the end of the bed. Sighing, he shook his head at the comment she had made about being so much trouble. Honestly, she wasn't and honestly, Xavier liked her company. Looking away from Michelle, he threw his attention to the wall. "No, you're not so much trouble. I've seen and been through worse."

Michelle painfully pushed herself up but could only get as far as her elbows. She sighed and her eyebrows furrowed with anger aimed at herself. She was stupid to take on a high ranking wolf. Michelle mentally reprimanded herself and sighed, remaining on her elbows and reaching for the glass with one arm. Xavier sat down on the bed and Michelle noticed he stayed a respectful distance away from her after handing her the water. She smiled at the thought and sipped some of the water. It felt heavenly as it cooled down her throat.
He suddenly shook his head when she mentioned being a problem but he looked at the wall as he spoke, telling her that he's seen worse. She cringed and put the glass down,
"You don't have to sit that far you know... Tell me what could be worse than finding an almost dead pregnant werewolf girl in the woods?"
Her words were a little more lively this time but the weakness still haunted her voice. She smiled at him even though he was staring at the wall...

Xavier looked over at Michelle with his one good eye and gave her a small, that usually wouldn't show but with Michelle, it was showing. He sighed and stood up, shoving his hands into his pockets and leaning against his wall. "Being a werewolf hunter, I've seen much worse than how I found you." he stated, closing his grayish-blue eye. It was true. Being a werewolf hunter, Xavier saw many things that mentally and physically, could scar him.
Slowly, Xavier made his way over to the bed, still sat down at the end of the bed. He wanted to keep that respectful distance. Something that he had learned at a very young age. Also, for some reason, Xavier honestly didn't want Michelle to have a reason to dislike him.

Xavier stood up, nonchalantly putting his hands in his pockets. Michelle looked away at this point, finding that one movement a bit of a turn on. She mentally scolded herself. What was up with her? She never felt like this... She remembered Lancelot saying that her senses were heightened in her newborn month. it must have been that. She hoped it was that. Another thought struck her. She'd read it on the internet and honestly it scared her a bit; apparently pregnant women's hormones were very high, causing such feelings to rage through them. Michelle's cheeks warmed up and she looked down, twirling a lock of her hair in thought. He mentioned that being a werewolf hunter he'd seen much worse than the state he'd found her in. Alarms were set off all over her body and a sudden intake of air surged into her lungs. She'd had her hunches but him admitting it caught her off guard. When she looked up his eye was closed and she looked back down at her hands, now nervously wringing them together. She knew she shouldn't be acting like this but she couldn't help it. Her wolf brain was basically yelling at her and she started to panic a bit but when she looked back up at him, for what felt like the thousandth time, a sort of calm came over her. A flash of his worried face came to her, the worry he;d shown when he found her and she relaxed.
Xavier moved back to the bed but still sat down on the edge,
"I don't know who's more afraid here. You seem to keep your distance and my mind keeps yelling at me..."
She sought out his gaze and reached for the water, taking another sip,
"Can I ask you a personal question?"
She paused, not really waiting too long for an answer from him and then asking in anyway,
"What made you become a werewolf hunter? We're really not that bad you know..."

"I like to keep my distance. Learn respect and trust before I get into someone's personal space." he stated, glancing over to her. He could understand why her mind was yelling at her. He was a werewolf hunter and she was a werewolf. A new born at that. "My mother taught me how to show respect, rather than be rude about it." he said. Looking over to Michelle, when she asked if she could ask a personal question.
Nodding, Xavier looked over to her and listened to her question. Honestly, he had no choice but to become a werewolf hunter. It was a tradition in his father's family. "It's a tradition in my family. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't have a choice on if I wanted to be one or not."

Michelle liked to hear that Xavier like to ears trust and respect first before he got into someone's personal space. She was getting more and more impressed by this guy by the minute. She smiled and nodded her agreement, understanding now why he sat so far from her. She shifted a little, making herself comfortable when Xavier said that his mother had taught him how to show respect. Michelle felt a little jealous of him. She didn't know her mother that well, all she could remember were vague flashes of her face. She had died with her younger brother's birth, but still she smiled at Xavier approvingly.
Once again Michelle put her glass down, feeling a sudden wave of tiredness coming over her. She listened to him as he told her that hunting was a tradition in his family and that he didn't have a choice. Her eyes were slowly drifting closed and she said one last thing before she slowly sank down and drifted off to sleep,
"I think everybody has a choice over their own lives. It's what we do with that choice that counts..."

Xavier watched her drift off to sleep after she put the glass down again. Her words echoed in his ears. Slowly, he moved over to her and pulled the blanket over her, before he moved a strand of her hair out of her face. She really was beautiful and she reminded him of a girl he once knew. Slowly, he walked out of his bedroom and sat at the bar in his kitchen. His mind going through his past to the girl he once loved before she was killed.
It had been so long ago, that Xavier had let it escape his mind completely. But now. Now, he was actually thinking about the girl that was killed because she had been bitten by a werewolf just like Michelle. Sighing, he had loved that girl, loved her even before she was turned into a werewolf. Xavier had been away when it happened. When she was bitten and then killed by his own mentor. Finding out that Red had killed her, broke his heart and he swore that he would never love again. But now...

Michelle felt Xavier tuck her in and she smiled sleepily, falling into her dreams with pleasant memories surrounding her dreams for the first time. She dreamed of Ice but she couldn't feel any pain as the white wolf attacked her. Her physical body was shaking with cold and she was moaning in her sleep though, tears running down her cheeks. It all happened so fast and then she was on the ground, dying in her dream. She was so sure that it would all end when she saw Xavier, his grey gaze was looking right into her soul. All she could feel was hope. It was as if him just being close to her was making the cold and darkness go away. A bright light blinded her and she was forced to close her eyes against it, feeling the warmth of the light creep into her body...
Suddenly her eyes fluttered open and Michelle woke with that same warmth inside her. The clock beside the bed said that it was three hours later and she smiled groggily at the wall...
"What a dream..."

Xavier had moved to the living room and had laid down on the couch. His mind had kept wondering, why did Michelle have such an affect on him? Sighing, he put his arm behind his head and closed his eye. His mind going back to the day he saw Red. And had lost his respect. But then, instead of seeing the love of his life on the ground dying, he was seeing Michelle, instantly Xavier sat up. What had just happened? Why did he see Michelle, instead of Amber. Amber was the one that got killed, not Michelle. Michelle was here, in his house, healing from the injuries.
He ran his fingers through his hair, "What am I going to do? Is Amber trying to tell me something?" he asked. More to himself since he knew, or thought, Michelle was asleep in his room.

Michelle sleepily rubbed her eyes and sat up, happy to find her pain extensively numbed and feeling better. She stretched and a few of the disks in her back clicked back into place, bringing instant relief. She looked around the room, remembering where she was as his scent suddenly invaded her nose. It had a calming effect on her though and she threw her legs over the edge of the bed and slowly stood up, flinching as more weight was placed on her left ankle. She was too stubborn to sit back down and rather reached for the wall, leaning against it to brace herself. She breathed hard a few times then calmed her breathing and closed her eyes, bracing herself against the wall she headed down the hallway, pain evident in her movements. She found Xavier in one of the sofas and he was saying something about Amber trying to tell him something. She cleared her throat and stood still, not wanting him to see her pain since she was just stubborn that way,
"Hey..."

Xavier didn't hear Michelle come from his room and so, when she spoke, he jumped up. He rubbed his head, giving her a small smile that barely touched his lips. "Hey.. How are you feeling?" he asked, shoving his hands back into his pockets. Xavier hoped that she hadn't heard what he had said about Amber, but deep down, he had a feeling she did. He sighed, and moved towards the kitchen. "Why don't we go to the kitchen? I can get you something to eat and drink. You haven't eaten yet." he said. He walked past her, his arm brushing her's as he went by. He felt the shock, but ignored it...for now.
