Pulled away from her train of thought by his question, Peri nodded gratefully, shifting a little in her seat uncomfortably, the damp towel now feeling a little awkward against her skin. Perhaps she should have thought to go get a change of clothes from her apartment before she'd jumped in the shower...
Ah, well. A dressing gown would be better than nothing. Smiling back at him warmly, she should still sense worry exuding from him like a second pulse, and gently placed a hand on his arm. "Try not to worry too much, okay? You'll panic yourself into an early grave... eh. Maybe that wasn't the best way to describe it..." Finding herself giggling at her own faux pas, she shook her head slightly, relieved by the lightening of her own mood.
Anyway, she should be happy, shouldn't she? Here she was, spending the evening with her... close friend-person-thing whom she couldn't help but feel very strong, unnamed feelings for - or at least she refused to name them for the time being, as the 'l' word still terrified her - just like she wanted. Even if it hadn't gotten off to the best start.
She could always try and improve things...
"Either way, let's just relax. Our... date didn't quite go to plan, but the night's not over, is it?" She smiled as brightly as she could, rising from the sofa and adjusting her towel slightly, looking forward to being in a warm dressing gown as opposed to the soggy piece of material wrapped snugly around her torso.

William winced slightly at Peri's accidental slip of the tongue, standing stiffly as she nodded her agreement that a dressing gown would do her better than a towel. Not wanting to give her any more reason to worry over him- heck knows she'd done it enough tonight, having ploughed her way across a courtyard to stop him being shot in the face- he forced a more cheerful smile as he turned and hurried to the door of his bedroom.
Stumbling through the tidy space, he quickly opened his tiny wardobe and selected a worn blue dressing gown. Knowing it to be too small for his frame, he decided it would comfort the slim Peri better than one of his larger gowns.
He walked back into the sitting room just in time to hear Peri's next statement. Closing the door behind him with a soft click before turning to hand the blue garment to the woman, he nodded his weary agreement- it would be nice to atleast try and create the night they had wanted to have. Even if it was here, in William's shabby apartment room, rather than with a fancy courtyard meal.

Taking the dressing gown from Will with a small 'thank you', she didn't hesitate to quickly turn her back to him - figuring that, despite the fact he had seen it all before, she would maintain a little bit of modesty - before removing the towel and slipping on the dressing gown, pulling the tie into a tight knot so that the material was taut to her slender frame.
"Ahhh... much better. Thanks again, Will... I appreciate it." She smiled at her companion, folding the towel a few times to make it more manageable. "Where do you want me to put this?" She asked, figuring that the least she could do would be to make herself useful. Finding herself oddly comforted by the worn, but still soft material, she huddled into it, still a little cold, considering that the garment - whereas it fitted her frame - still came up quite short on her, reaching her mid thighs.
It wasn't her dress, and her hair was still damp, and now her face was devoid of all traces of makeup, but hey... she was certain she could try and make do with what she had to some sort of degree of 'sexiness'. Nothing had ever stopped her before, after all.

Satisfied that Peri was now suitably dressed, William reached down to clear up their now-cold coffee mugs, glancing up as he did so.
"O-Oh just...I-In the bathroom w-would be fine"
He smiled weakly and turned to carry the mugs back into the small kitchen, noticing as he did so the small cracks, chips and indents that ringed Peri's used mug. His smile slipped for a moment before he shoved the two cups down into the used soapy water of the washing up bowl. Out of sight, out of mind.
Quickly hurrying back into the sitting room, drying his hands on his shirt as he did so, he motioned around the flat.
"W-what...What should w-we do?"

Taking the damp towel into the bathroom and placing it atop of what she imagined to be a washing basket of some sort, Peri deliberated for a moment before returning, giving his question some thought. How did they proceed from here?
The thought suddenly struck her how much she wanted a drink. Hell, alcohol had been the very thing that had brought them together in the first place, and it was perfect for awkward, depressing situations such as this. In fact, why hadn't she thought of this sooner? Well, there was the small fact that Will didn't seem like the drinking type, but given the circumstances, she was sure he could be easily enough persuaded.
Returning from the bathroom with a renewed confident smile on her face, she wandered back into the sitting room, positively beaming at Will. "How about we have a quick night cap? I'm sure I've got something nice stashed away somewhere in my apartment..."

William blinked at Peri's question, feeling a familiar blush spread across his face as memories of the last time they had drunk together cartwheeled merrily across his vision. Opening his mouth to weakly protest- knowing that it would do him no good even if he tried- he paused for a moment.
Last time...Had been the time he'd first met Peri. And although the whole situation could hardly have been called successful, it had been, well, fun. For lack of a better word. The parts of the night that William could remember had been fun and entertaining; better by far than what he would else have ended up doing that night, or what he would be doing now if Peri hadn't stumbled upon him in the corridor. And they both needed something fun right now...
Closing his mouth again, he nodded, albiet rather reluctantly, his agreement.
"I-I'm not sure if I-I have anything like that in here a-anywhere though..."

A broad grin broke out on Peri's face as Will - surprisingly - agreed to her bold suggestion, wasting no time in rushing towards the door, having no qualms about any other residents on their floor seeing her in a short dressing gown. "I'll be two seconds, I've got just the thing~" She exclaimed, before opening his front door and leaving it on the latch, before running down to her apartment, having grabbed her key beforehand, quickly moving to her kitchette and rummaging underneath the counters, letting out a small noise of triumph as she pulled out two large, full bottles.
When Peri returned to Will's apartment, she seemed a lot happier, one bottle in each hand, seeming a little dishevelled from the rushing about, but exuding confidence. "There! I think this will do us just fine, don't you?" Her dominant side taking over somewhat, she moved to the kitchen and nosed around until she found two glasses, filling them with the alcoholic liquid almost to the brim, before returning to the sitting room and sitting herself down amongst the sofa cushions.
Offering one of the glasses to Will, she grinned at him, feeling a lot more at ease. Just like when they'd first met... here she was, leading him astray again. But then again, a little fun never hurt anyone, did it?

Will accepted the glass nervously, already having a small number of last minute doubts as Peri rushed back and forth. But it seemed to make her happier- the shock of the night and her explanation melting slightly in her grin and bright, confident eyes. And William didn't want to see her unhappy tonight. With a small, nervous grin, he gently clinked their glasses together before plonking himself back down on the squashy sofa, loosening his tie before taking a small sip of the strong liquid, not really daring to ask what the substance was, lest he back down from the idea with the knowledge.

Glad to see him going along with her plan so easily - which was an odd sight in itself, actually - Peri grinned as they clinked their glasses, raising it briefly in a silent toast to the two of them, before knocking back her own drink, her gulp taking down half of the liquid in the glass, as opposed to Will's more cautious sip. The liquid was strong, but not too strong - after all, she didn't want to kill Will, who seemed rather uneducated when it came to the world of alcohol.
After two more enthusiastic sips, her first glass was gone, and she wasted no time in pouring herself a second 'night cap', before eyeing Will's still very full glass with an indignant tut. "Am I asking a bit much for you to try and keep up with me?" She chuckled lightly, giving the man a teasing wink.

Glancing nervously round at Peri's suddenly empty glass and mock indignant expression William tried another nervous smile, starting to mutter his apologese before realising how...Annoying he sounded. "S-sorry...Heh...I-I suppose I'm just..." He stopped himself quickly and stared down into his own near-full glass, gazing at his distorted reflection for a moment before gulping and swallowing it down in a few splashy mouthfuls. Setting the empty glass down on the table with a kind of nervous triumph in his eyes, he turned back to Peri, a sudden thought occuring to him as the alchohol started to work it's merry way around his body. "N-no...Card games t-this time"

Eyebrowsshooting up in surprise as Will drained his glass in record time, Peri clapped her hands together, feeling that the feat was something to applaud, in her eyes anyway. "See! I knew you had it in you ~" She chuckled appreciatively, and set about refilling his glass, wondering how long this new 'I can take my drink just as well as you' William would last.
Sipping her drink, she couldn't help but let a sly grin break out on her features as he requested 'no card games', mind flitting back to the broken fragments of what, to this day, she still viewed as one of her greatest ideas, 'Strip Shot Go Fish'. It made absolutely no sense, but it was great.
"Awwh... didn't you enjoy your prize last time?" She pouted, cheeks flushing slightly at the memory, trying to maintain her cool.

William felt a quick flush creep across his already slowly reddening cheeks as Peri repoured his drink for him, chiding him slyly as she did so; of course he had...and they had... At times William wasn't sure if he was disapointed or glad that their first evening together was something of a distortd blur in his mind. Considering the parts he remembered... Taking this next drink carefully in his hands, he settled back comfortably in the sofa cushions, swirling the liquid as he had seen gentlemen do in tv and film shows he smiled nervously across at Peri, unsure of the answer she was looking for. "O-of course not...t-they were very...e-erm..." He paused as his already rather limited imagination seemed to leave him momentarily. "...I-I shan't s-see another set l-like them" He finished lamely, trying to keep a composed face as he sipped at his drink.

Giggling in a mixture of amusement and embarrassment, Peridot hid her blush with a long sip of her drink, feeling her head beginning to grow lighter and her smiles come easier, the effects of the drink beginning to swirl in her head like a whirlpool. Given that she hadn't gotten to eat dinner in the end, the alcohol was going straight to her head.
"Haha... you certainly have your own unique way of compliments, Will... but I... or well, my boobs can't say they've ever received a better one." She grinned at him broadly, watching him swirl his glass like a distinguished gentleman, finding it to be an oddly endearing, yet charming thing to do.
"I... certainly hope not. I think mine might be the jealous type, hah..." She chuckled lightly, but there was a slight flash in her eyes at the thought, lowering her gaze. She didn't want him to ever find himself in such a situation with another woman... She didn't know if it was her inner wolf or what, but there was a strong part of her, deep down, that wanted him to stay hers, and only hers forever.

Taking another swig of drink, William made sure to keep his eyes fixed firmly on Peri's slightly flushed face, feeling that, in the current circumstance, this might be the better option. However, he still felt a silly little grin spread across his face as Peri spoke, his ears slowly growing hot and red. "I-I shall try not to d-disapoint them" He chuckled dryly, finishing his second glass with a few quick sips and setting it down as carefully as he could next to him on the sofa. Glancing around the tidy living room, William felt a small pout replace the grin, realising that this was not a thing like Peri's apartment, and hardly the place in which to drink away their troubles.

Eyeing his second empty glass with wide eyes, it dawned on Peri that Will was actually now beating her in drinking speed, tipping the bottle to pour him a third glass and fighting back the urge to allow her jaw to drop. "Damn... who are you and what have you done with my Will? Hah... I need to pick up the pace." With this, she drained her second glass with a flourish and poured another, watching him blush as she spoke of her apparently possessive breasts.
Such an adorable blush at that. Finding herself grinning uncontrollably, she took a long sip of her drink, finding it slipping down a lot easier now. "I'm sure you won't, dear... as long as you're faithful to them." She winked at him, before chuckling, despite honestly meaning it.
Catching him pouting as he glanced around his apartment, she joined him in giving it a visual once over, admiring how much more... homely it looked. Like a proper living space, as opposed to just a foreign place to sleep every night, with no familiarity or personality to it. It was... nice.
"We best not have too much... heh, I wouldn't want to trash your place, it's too nice..."
