Being the stubborn woman that she is, Ice had decided to get out of her bed and got dresses. Pulling on some jeans and a black leather shirt, Ice made her way to the door. She locked after throwing on some shoes and head to her door. Pierre was not going to keep her in, even if she was in to much pain to argue. Ice had been in her room and bed for some many days that she lost count of how many there actually had been. Hell, she had forgotten what day it was until she looked onto her phone and found out that it was Monday.
Getting in her viper, Ice made her way to Coral Park. Once she got there and made her way to a few rocks, Ice finally sat down. Just walking to and from her car car was just enough to cause her pain. Sighing, Ice laid back and closed her ice blue eyes. Listening to her soundings. Her ears heard something but her mind was not registering it.

For once in a blue moon, Samuel Bailey actually had some time off of work. Being the Head GP of the local doctors surgery did mean that - technically - he could take time off whenever he liked, but Sam did, admittedly, love his work, so rarely took the opportunity. But lately, things had been getting on top of him a little. The same routine, every day.
So, instead of skulking at home and playing video games and watching anime all day - a pass time that he would never in a million years admit to anyone, not even family - he had chosen to get out of the house and visit Carol Park, opting for human steps as opposed to paw steps this time. Parking his jade green Bentley, he briefly noticed a rather formidable looking Dodge Viper parked a few spaces away, raising his eyebrows with an appreciative whistle.
A fact that Sam was very proud of was his knowledge of cars, being that his other hobbies could be called, well... nerdy. At least he had his profession and mechanics to fall back on when trying to make a good impression. Shoving his hands into his pockets, Sam began a leisurely tour of the park, surprised to see that there weren't all that many people around for the time of day.
So, seeing Ice laying out of the rocks nearly gave the poor doctor a heart attack. Stopping dead in his tracks, his eyes widened slightly, tilting his head to one side curiously as he gazed at the young woman, studying her face as he began to notice that the muscles were tensed, slightly creased as if she was in pain... Sighing faintly, Sam found himself propelled forward by concern, until he stood before the rocks, knowing that he couldn't really not ask now.
Damn profession. It always got him into awkward conversations that he didn't care to partake in...
"E-excuse me, miss... Are you okay? You seem as if you're in pain...?"

Of course she had heard the male's footsteps before he had even came up to the rock. But still, her mind wasn't registering the fact that he was actually there. In real life, and not in some fantasy. It wasn't until he spoke, that she jumped up and landed on her butt, falling off of the rock. Her side shot up in pain when she fell, but once again, Ice ignored the pain and looked up at the man in front of her with her ice blue eyes.
Honestly, she could careless for his concern and she was going to make sure he knew that. Getting to her feet, Ice brushed off the dirt and grass from her pants and let her cold gaze lock onto the man in front of her. "I'm fine. So, don't ask again." she snapped. Ever since everything happened with a friend of her's, Ice was practically pushing everyone she saw away from her. She wanted no part of a relationship, no part in having some close to her and find out that they wouldn't care about her at all. She was through with it. All of it. "Who are you?"

Mentally kicking himself for asking as she responded - rather harshly as well, in his own sensitive opinion - Samuel rubbed the back of his neck awkward, trying to force a nonchalant smile, while internally melting into a puddle of 'oh god, why did I ask, I shouldn't have asked, social situationssssss.' Sucking in a breath quietly, he was roused from his minor mental breakdown by her next question, his own bright sky blue eyes meeting her cold, icy stare as she stood before him.
He could still tell that she was injured, to a doctor it was obvious; merely by the way her weight was shifted onto one side more than the other and her positioning, something that an untrained eye likely wouldn't notice. Sighing quietly, he shook his head slightly. He couldn't help someone who didn't want to be helped, but he could damn well try.
"I'm Sam... Erm, Dr. Bailey from Eden Town's doctors surgery, if you ever happen to go there. Hence why I asked if you were okay... The trained eye notices these things better, I guess. A-and yourself?"

Ice saw how he was acting. And something in her stomach was making her feel guilty for snapping at him. Yes, Ice had a guilty conscious but never listened to it. Shaking her head, Ice ignored her guilty feeling again and watched him. Shifting slightly, Ice felt her side feel like fire. Ironic how her name is Ice and she was feeling fire. It was the one thing she hated, and now, she was feeling it. What a pain in the ass that was.
Sighing, Ice went over to her rock and sat back down. She need to rest, that was for sure. She listened to him speak. So he was from Eden Town. Well, Ice hardly went to Eden Town because she knew that Eclipse was there and at the moment, Ice didn't want that to happen. "I don't go to Eden Town. Eclipse is there and my brother and him are not in, as you would say, good condition at the moment." she stated. "But honestly, thanks for the concern. I don't need help with much of anything."

Ah... Sam knew that he vaguely recognized her scent. The fact that she knew of Eclipse as well pretty much confirmed it. Feeling slightly more at ease, he nodded knowledgeably, figuring that it wouldn't hurt to at least hint towards him being of her kind. "Ah... I see. Well, if it helps any, I don't associate with Eclipse or any of his... people, you'll be pleased to know, I guess?" He chuckled lightly, watching her face to gauge a reaction.
He could only assume that either she and her brother were loners, like himself, or were part of the opposing pack, based in Bucharest. He knew more of the Infiniteria pack, being from Eden Town, but as a doctor, he had learnt more than his fair share of information over the years, specializing in private treatment for his own kind.
Turning his attention back to her body language, after a moment, he nodded, meeting her gaze once more with a sudden professional seriousness, that tended to come when giving a diagnosis as a doctor.
"Judging on from what I can tell merely from what I've seen, you seem to have suffered from a borderline chronic wound, running from your hip to around... close to the centre of your abdomen. There's a chance you may have suffered some abdominal trauma, but most of the damage is in the muscle tissue, which would be the reason for the awkwardness in how your weight is shifted, as it makes it particularly difficult for you to put pressure on one side of your body, especially when walking. The wound would have already been closed up with stitches, and you have a good chance of making a full recovery, particularly with... eh, the circumstances, but if you keep pushing yourself, you could end up bedridden for a good two weeks more. Of course... that's just judging on what I can deduce from seeing you."
Smiling awkwardly, Sam adjusted his glasses slightly, becoming aware that he had rambled somewhat, but still carrying a small sense of pride that he could still diagnose with almost complete accuracy upon sight. That knowledge was his pride and joy, and was what set him apart from the other doctors at his practise.

Ice looked at him and nodded. Good, he wasn't a part of Eclipse's pack and that settled her nerves just a bit. Surprisingly, Ice was fine that Sam wasn't a part of a pack and now, she wouldn't have to be on guard constantly with him. "Yes, that does please me. It let's me know that you aren't a spy for Eclipse and that you're not a danger to my brother's pack." she said, just as she sat down. It was getting harder to even stand for very long.
Looking up, Ice heard him talking, talking about her injury. She blinked at him slightly, before giving him a small smile. "Well, if I didn't know any better, I would say that you were there when it happened." she said, but then her smile faded. Yes, Pierre had stitched it up, but still it felt like her wound was opening up again. Her brother had already told her to go and see a doctor, but she had ignored that demand and let her injury heal it's self. Which, as you could tell, wasn't working out for her to much. "But like I said before, I don't need help."

Glad to see her relax a little, Samuel smiled, his thoughts now confirmed. So she was of Validus... and the fact that it was her brother's pack meant... Well, he knew vaguely of Lucas Storm, but not enough to already know the young lady's name before him, aside that she most likely had the same surname. Which then brought him to realize that he had never asked her name...
"Heh... well, I do my best, as a doctor. I don't believe I ever caught your name, miss...?" He smiled as charmingly as someone as awkward as Sam could, faltering a little as she continued to insist that she didn't need any help. As he had been right with his suspicions, he couldn't help but worry that she was going to be stubborn and end up getting herself more hurt than she already was. It was an unfortunately tricky situation.
"Have you been taking pain killers at all? It's fine to try and get yourself moving about a little, after all, being stuck in bed all day... it's not really for our kind, is it? But I would advise you be careful... Neither of us want you to rupture the wound and suddenly find yourself bleeding out, or worse. Eh... sorry to be morbid, it kind of comes with the territory, being a doctor and all."
He tried to keep a middle ground, showing understanding and support for her want to be out and about, but slowly easing in advice and gentle warnings, hoping to at the very least convince her to let him properly examine the wound, just to make sure she hadn't already done too much damage to it.

Ice understood what he was going at. He had repeated that he was a doctor and she understood that, clearly. He asked for her name and she let her eyes lock with his. Slowly, Ice let her mind decide on if she would allow Sam know her name or to let him guess on what it was. Sighing, she stood up and walked over to him slowly, "I am Ice Storm. Sister and Lead hunter to Lucas Storm and Larysa." she said, stretching out her hand to be shaken.
Being stubborn was one of her many traits of being part of the Storm family. Since it had skipped Lucas, apparently, Ice had become completely stubborn like her father. Even though she hardly knew her parents, Lucas had told her that she was just like their father. Constantly stubborn and constantly, not listening to his orders and doing what she wished. Strange. But Ice knew that something about her had come from her parents, and stubborn was one of those things.
Ice shook her head and winced as she did so. "I don't take pain killers or anything that would even try to help me. Don't be sorry, you're a doctor and so, therefore, I understand." she said, and slid down the rock. She held her side slightly, and eventually, her hand left her side. Ice knew that Sam was only trying to help her, it's what doctors always tried to do when someone was hurt such as Ice. "If you want to look at my injury, I don't mind. I just don't need help."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ice." Sam replied with a grin, happily shaking the young woman's hand. Ice... what an unusual name. Although, it did seem to fit her well, right from her initial cold aura, to the crystalline, subtle hue of her eyes. After a moment's thought, Sam decided that he liked it. A unusual, but pretty name, from an unusual, but definitely pretty woman.
Almost sighing with relief as Ice practically read his mind, he nodded gratefully, almost smiling a little as she reiterated for what seemed like the millionth time that she didn't need any help. The stubborness was almost endearing, if it wasn't so frustrating. It was a good thing that being a doctor had taught him to have the patience of a saint.
"I would feel a lot better if I could, if you don't mind, of course. Would you be willing to come to the surgery with me? I know it's in Eden Town, but that way, I can examine it properly, and if it needs restitching or anything like that I can do it much easier from there."

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Sam." she said, giving him a sharp smile that hardly showed any emotion. It was difficult for her to do that, especially after what had just happened with someone she grew to trust. Ice doubt that she'd be able to find her trust or emotions again. And yet, here she was, thinking about letting another, COMPLETE stranger look at her wound. Okay, Pierre had been a stranger to her, but he was stubborn and wouldn't allow her to walk around unless he was helping her. Stubborn males.
Sighing, Ice stood up and glanced in Sam's direction. "As long as we don't run into Eclipse. I'll be fine." she said, turning towards the parking lot and heading towards her car. Once again, Ice was having trouble walking and breathing all at the same time. Such difficulty for one so, and yet she was only blaming herself for the injury she caused for not paying attention. Ice stopped at her car and turned towards him, "Lead the way. I'll follow behind you."

Nodding, Sam began to trip down to where his car was parked, making sure to keep a slow pace so not to make Ice feel as if she needed to speed up and end up hurting herself, before she stopped - funnily enough, right next to the very car he'd found himself admiring just half an hour ago. Raising his eyebrows, he tried to hide how impressed he was at Ice's car, and quickly slipped inside his own, focusing his mind to the matter at hand.
Putting the key in the ignition, Sam gave a small, fond smile at the smooth humming of his own engine, having an undeniable love for his own car, despite it somewhat paling into insignificance next to the variable beast of a Viper that Ice owned. Ah well, his Bentley suited him well enough. Pulling out of the driveway, Sam began the short, fifteen minute drive back to the surgery, despite not being dressed for work, he knew that the staff would be fine with him popping in. After all, they had little choice in the matter, he was technically their boss...
Making sure that Ice was following him, he turned the corner into the surgery's car park and pulled into his reserved space, killing the engine, before reaching into the back of his car and pulling out a work satchel, that had his ID card for the surgery in it, hanging the small plastic card around his neck. Stepping out of his car, he waited for Ice, not wanting to leave her to find her way into the surgery unattended, just in case the pain caused her to collapse, or something along those lines.

Getting into her car, Ice turned on her car before she waited for Samuel to leave. Seeing his car pull out, Ice instantly started to follow him, trying to ignore the pain that was escaping her side and going up her body. Oh, how she hated the fact that she was in so much pain and was too stubborn to honestly care for help. But somehow, Samuel had convinced her enough to get her to follow him to his work just enough to help her. It was strange to her, and different, but surprisingly Ice was allowing it to happen.
They got to his work, that she figured was his work, and parked her viper before getting out of her car and slowly making her way towards him. She was holding her side when she caught up to him. "Alright, I'm here. I don't like it but I'm doing it. So, lead the way Doctor." she said, wincing slightly at the pain she was feeling.
