Today is a nice day. I figured as long as I had enough free time, I might as well take a nice walk in Carol Park. I walk to a bench and sit on the edge, a small space between me and the other person on the bench I'm not paying much mind to. I stare blankly at the scenery and then pull out my book and begin to read, trying to slip out of this world and into the one my author has created with such colorful and vibrant tone and diction. I realize it's quite hot out so I pull my hair back in a side ponytail so that my bangs won't get in my eyes or so that I won't get too hot. I rub the back of my neck, noticing there's a crick there that has bugging me for a while, I just have been ignoring it. It seems it keeps getting worse though. I sigh with discontent. Just then something breaks my dazed deep thought...

Stephen slowly walked through the beautiful park. He was holding a book in his hand and didn't seem to be heading anywhere specific. It was obvious that he had a lot on his mind. His green eyes were hidden behind a pair of aviator shades and he was wearing a black jean with a blue shirt. His leather jacket was in his other hand since the weather was pleasant enough to be outside without a jacket. He noticed a quaint little bench and sat down, breathing out loudly in a relaxed manner. A few minutes later another girl came to sit next to him and he found himself staring at her for a small moment before he looked away, not wanting her to see him stare. She was reading a book and so he cleared his throat and said,
"Hey there, I'm Stephen. What are you reading?"

I lift my head to look at the man who spoke to me and I smile warmly at him. When I look into his eyes I realize they are a deep green. Almost like green oak leaves in the summer. I smile even wider, realizing how much kindness is probably behind those stunning eyes. Autumn. Nice to meet you. Stephen. I'm reading Little Women. I've read it a couple of times already, but it's such a fascinating and inspiring book. How 'bout you? Anything interesting?
[/color] I chuckle softly and sit back, relaxing. He's very handsome...[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

The girl looked pleasant enough and Stephen took off his shades, popping it onto his shirt and turning so he faced the girl directly. She then said her name was Autumn and that it was nice to meet him. He smiled warmly back at her and she then told him about her book, Little Women and he smiled at her choice of taste. She mentioned that she'd read it a few times already and asked if he was reading anything interesting. He smiled a dashing smile and showed her the cover of his book,
"I'm reading Wuthering Heights, by Ellis Bell. Lovely book, also not my first time reading it I have to admit."
He paused and then continued,
"So what brings you here on such a lovely day?"

My expression becomes thoughtful when he shows me his book cover. I smile again and then nod, agreeing with his statement about the book being lovely. Yes, I've read that book quite a few times myself. Truly a classic. It never does get old.
[/color] I gaze into his lovely green eyes and smile wider once more. We both have green eyes, yes, but mine are not nearly as striking or engrossing. His are amazing. Like emeralds shining in the sunlight. He asks me what brings me here on such a lovely day and I look down at my hands in a shy manner. I look up at him again and tilt my head a little. Well, it is such a lovely day and for once I have some free time. I thought I would take advantage of it. Sometimes between going to college, working two part-time jobs, and one full-time one, and having to sleep really keeps you busy.[/color]--I pause, not really wanting to be rude by talking about myself so much-- And you? I conclude. There I go again. Talking about myself and my personal life. I know that I shouldn't share too much. I always get made fun of or pestered about it. Even in college. I purse my lips, deciding I will only tell him more about myself if he specifically asks.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Stephen couldn't really get over how beautiful Autumn was and he sure as hell couldn't stop smiling. He almost expected her to leave. Not everyone really trusted a stranger who suddenly started to talk to you in a park. He was thankful Autumn wasn't running away. Her expression turned thoughtful and Stephen found it to be exceptionally cute. He smiled a little wider but quickly got himself under control. She agreed that his book was good and he was pleasantly surprised. Not many girls appreciated the classical stuff and Stephen showed he was impressed, lifting his eyebrows. Her emerald green eyes hold him captive for a moment before he looks down with a chuckle and says,
"I must say I am impressed. It's not every day that I find a girl as pretty as you who appreciates the classics as well."
He meant what he said and hoped Autumn wouldn't think him rude to admit something like that while wither of them barely knew one another. She then told him that she finally had some free time and Stephen smiled at the thought. He knew the feeling. He was a student at Harvard and he was only here for the holidays. She mentioned her college, two part time jobs and one full time job and a surprised expression showed on his face,
"How do you keep up with so many things to do and so many jobs? I would surely not be able to do that."
Autumn then asked Stephen what he did and he said,
"Well I just arrived in Bucharest today. I study at Harvard university and came here in search of my brother and sister."
She pursed her lips and Stephen yet again found it to be quite alluring. He smiled sweetly at her and then asked her,
"What do yous study? Oh and have you stayed in Bucharest your whole life or not?"

My smile widens even further and I can't keep my nose from crinkling with joy. I have never met someone before with such a wide understanding of the classics as me--not to mention actually liking them. I then blush softly when he says that it's not every day that you find a girl as pretty as me who has an interest in the classics. I must say I'm quite flattered. I never thought of myself as good looking. Let alone pretty. My blush deepens when I meet his eyes once more. He asks how I keep up with all my jobs and I smirk a little. I must say it can be difficult--not to mention a hardy task. Honestly, sometimes I don't even know how I do it. I guess I just...go with the flow. I giggle quietly and cock my head a little when he started speaking about how he just arrived today, how he was here looking for his siblings, and how he was a student at Harvard. He lives in the US then. Well, that's quite disappointing. That means he won't be staying for long, will he? I nod when he asks what my studies are and if I've lived in Bucharest my whole life. I smile again, softly, my lips pulling up a little exposing my white teeth. I'm studying psychology. The way the human mind works and functions along with how it processes certain things fascinates me. And no, I haven't been here my whole life. I was born and raised in America until I was nineteen--then I moved out and came to Romania. My family is kind of a little screwy. They're not the ideal people or group for that matter.
[/color] I trail off feeling as if I have said too much. This man is really kind. And handsome. I don't want to scare him off with stories of my past....[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

When Stephen asked about Autumn's jobs she smirked a little and he could tell she was proud of herself and how capable she was. He smiled back in turn when she said sometimes she didn't know how she kept up but that she only went with the flow. Well now that was a life motto one could live by, just not Stephen. He was very organized and precise. She giggled and he liked the way her voice sounded. It ringed like a delicate bell across the park, almost as if a sweet bird had just sung.
When he told her about Harvard her smiled seemed to fade for only a moment though. Was she disappointed at the fact? He'd have to ask at a later time because she was speaking again. He was fascinated that she was studying psychology and she looked very interested in her studies as well. She continued to tell further about how he grew up in America and came here when she was nineteen. She told about her family having a bit of issues and he had to agree with her but rather said nothing. Looking at his watch he suddenly looked alarmed then chuckled and looked at Autumn,
"I completely forgot about the time. There's this meeting I have to be at in a few minutes, but I have to see you again. How about coffee? Where's a good place to go around here?"

He looks alarmed when he looks at his watch and I freeze in response. When he chuckles though, I melt back into my relaxed, laid back ways until he says he has to go. But wait. He says he wants--no, has--to see me again. I smile and look up into his green eyes once again, feeling an intense warmth spread through me. Well, this is new. I nod quickly and maybe a little too eagerly when he mentions having coffee. He asks where a good place to get some would be and I'm very quick to respond. Well, the Lipscani District has this amazing café if you'd like to meet up there. I have to say, I'm quite excited.
[/color] I blush a little when the last sentence flows out with the current of words that are streaming out of my mouth on accident. I hope that doesn't creep him out. Gosh, I am such a fool! Oh well, can't take it back now. When shall we meet?[/color] Once more, all too eager. I ask him hoping maybe he'll say tonight, but of course people don't usually drink coffee at night or in the afternoon. But maybe I'll get lucky? Eh, I doubt it. I have pretty bad luck.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Stephen smiled back at Autumn just as her own sweet smile ignited a smile of his own. She was so sweet and he just knew he had to see her again. She nodded in excitement when he mentioned having a coffee with her and inside he laughed. She looked just as eager to see him again and he got up form the bench, smiling happily down at her. She then told him about the Lipscani district and this great cafe there and he nodded, smiling a little wider when she said she was excited. He stuck his hands in his pocket and his eyes glimmered in the sunlight. He was just as excited as she was, he just wasn't showing it as much. She asked him about the time and he glanced at his watch again then said,
"How about tonight, 6 pm. I get off work then and we can meet up?"
She stood up and he gently took her hand and kissed it, looking up he said,
"It was a pleasure meeting you, Autumn. I'm looking forward to seeing you tonight. Have a lovely day."
He winks at her then turns and casually walks towards his car parked at the edge of the park, all the while thinking of Autumn and seeing her again...
OOC: You can post her reaction here and then we can skip to tonight? DO you wanna continue in this thread or move it to the Lipscani district?

He says six and internally, I rejoice. Wonderful! My smile stays put and when he stands, I'm quick to follow. He then takes and kisses my hand and I can't help but blush a soft pink. Six it is... [/color] Still blishing a little, I watch him wink and then turn and walk away. Wow. I can't help but look after him in awe. As soon as his car speeds out of view, I turn and run to my car and then to my house preparing for tonight.[/center]
