Despite the fear, this was exhilarating.
Sam ran through the forest plains of Mountain Mist National Park, paws barely touching the leaf covered ground, feeling the wind tear through his thick fur. He knew this was a bad feeling to have, but it felt like the best drug in the world. Despite all his concerns and reservations, it felt so right to run as a wolf, to cast away his fears and give in to the primal beast within.
Stopping at the outskirts of Moon Shadow Peak, Sam sniffed the air gingerly, to see if Luschka was already here. He was a little early, having managed to take a nap, waking up full of energy, and being a little too jittery and skittish to stay in the house a moment longer.
Climbing the rocky hill, one pawstep at a time, the jet black wolf was hardly visible in the shadows, only bright blue eyes visible against the dark, giving him an overall eerie aura, gliding along as if he belonged to the ethereal.
He was ready. Whatever she wanted from him, whatever she had to say, he was ready. He would keep telling himself that until he believed it...

Luschka stood on the highest peak of Moon Shadow Peak. She smelled the air and smirked to himself. So Mr. Goody Two Shoes actually showed, despite his fears. She howled eerily, throwing her large, white head back. In the bright moonlight her white pelt nearly glowed and if one saw her, they would think she might be a god. Her light blue eyes scoured the land to see if she could spot him and, of course, she did. Though any other wolf might not have been able to spot him, Lu did because she had impecable eye sight. Watching him as he climbed up the mountain, she realized that he was not nearly as graceful as she. She made a huffing sound which would be her laughter if she was human, but she wasn't. She flared her nostrils, taking in the landscape around her. We're alone. Good. She wanted alone time with him...he was interesting. She felt they could be good friends--that is once he learned to trust her. She snorted and continued staring at him, her bright blue eyes glowing in the night.

Making his way to the stop, the young female's scent began to make his head almost swim, seeing the practically glowing figure atop the rocks. The pure white fae stood directly in front of an almost full moon, the sight almost too much to behold.
So.
He directed a pointed stare at her as he reached her side, prowling a little nervously in a circle around her, fearful to let his guard down.
Why did you call me here? What do you want from me?
He had to admit, he was full of questions. He had rarely spoken to another werewolf, particularly not on a werewolf to werewolf basis. But first, he needed to know what he was dealing with, what was expected of him. What she'd seen in him, instead of anyone else, that had made her decide to practically make him her 'play thing'.

Luschka rolled her eyes and smiled. Seriously? She thought chuckling. She sat down and shook her head, still grinning. She looked at him and lifted her paw. She licked it and remained content. Ok. First. Chill. Stop walking in circles, your making me dizzy. Now, I called you here because I want to spend time with you outside the hospital. Again, like I said earlier, not my scene. I don't like being human. Wolf is good. Wolf is GREAT. Now, what I want from you is your company. I think we can be good friends. Lu sighed and stood up, walking to him. Why are you so tense? I'm not going to hurt you. I wouldn't dream of it. She looked into his eyes truthfully and kindly. She cocked her head to the right and nudged him on his shoulder with her nose. She found it easier to touch him in this form than in human form. As a wolf she found everything so much easier.

Pausing a little to abruptly, Sam almost fell over his own paws, stopping his pacing as she'd asked, but still seeming on edge. Fur bristled and head low, he listened to the fae's words, trying to make sense of them, and failing miserably.
She just... wanted to be friends?
That was what all this was about? Not that he didn't see the risk in it, Sam was the type to see the risk in everything. Two werewolves running around together, it was bound to get them into trouble. But... she was right.
Being in wolf form felt so much more natural for Sam, so comfortable and free. There was none of the awkwardness he had as a human, he could run without fear of being judged, he could just be himself.
Feeling her nudge his shoulder, he relaxed a little, returning her kind gaze with a slightly more friendly one of his own. Perhaps the two of them had more in common than he first realized.
I'm just... a little nervous. There's so much risk being out here these days, particularly together...
He made a feeble attempt at making his case, but trailed off, huffing a small sigh. Ears twitching irritably, Sam looked out from the rock, into the seemingly depthless valley below, as black as night and quite foreboding.
Perhaps... one night wouldn't hurt.
...Alright. You have me for tonight. But I can't leave too late, I have work in the morning.
Somehow though, he knew that if she didn't want him to leave, he wouldn't leave. It was a little scary that she already had that kind of power over him.

Luschka smiled and licked his shoulder. Oh, don't worry about the risk. I've got it all covered. Like I said earlier, nothing goes on without me knowing. I know who all the Werewolf Hunters are and where everyone is. We're safe. And wouldn't it be better if we were together? We could protect eachother. I know I'll protect you if anything were to happen. She shrugged in a way that was the total opposite of what her words would have portrayed. She sighed and cuckled. I don't know Sam, I might not be able to give you up too soon. She grinned and shook out her pelt. She really liked Sam. He was kind, talented, hot in his wolf form, and responsible. Though he could try to be a little less responsible at times. She pursed her lovely, soft lips and thought. So what do you want to do tonight? She asked with a toothy grin.

As far fetched as her statement sounded, Sam almost wouldn't have put it past her to really be such an... oracle, of their little world at least. Sure, she might know of every danger, of every hunter... but what would they do in the face of one, or many? As strong and quick werewolves were, they were little when facing the barrel of a loaded gun.
Shaking his head violently to clear that highly unpleasant thought, Sam cocked his head at her, giving her question some thought. A childish part of him just wanted to growl 'Run', and proceed to frolic through the trees like some sort of pup - he had to admit, it was a lot of fun - but he couldn't help but feel that might seem a little immature to Luschka.
And I'd protect you too.
He found himself saying this without thinking, and meaning it too. Of course he wouldn't let his companion get into harms way, what kind of doctor would he be if he did? Not to mention... what kind of friend? The world still rattled around his mind with an aura of unease, but he was beginning to get used to it.
I haven't been on a good hunt in a while... would you like to?
This much was true. Sam wasn't much of a hunter, but practise did make perfect. He had a strong feeling that it would end up being Luschka who did most the the hunting, however... Meh. Show off.
No, of course that wasn't a bitter feeling...

Luschka smiled a wide, cheesy grin and let out a playful growl. Sounds great. She said and bumped his side with hers. She smiled and stepped forward, lifting her snout to smell the air. Breathing in deeply she let go of her human mind and just went with her instincts. The wind was strong here so it blew wildly in all directions, bringing a strong whiff of moose. You smell that? Moose. My favorite. She licked her soft lips and grinned hugely. She bowed to him cheesily and started laughing. You first, she looked at him mockingly. She thought about how he said he would protect her too. She loved that. She turned again to hide the sudden softness in her eyes. Let's go. With that she took off in the direction of the herd of moose at the speed of lightning. Oh, how she loved the feeling of the ground beneath her paws! She chuckled carelessly as a triumphant look came across her beautiful face.

Moose? Now that was a rarity. A delectable one, but rare to finder, and even rarer to catch. But as long as he could track it, between the two of them... Sniffing the air, a strange, wolfish grin spread across his maw, the playful wolf within him getting excited already.
We shall dine like royalty tonight, my Queen~
Dipping his head in a mock bow, in a rare moment of playful carelessness, he growled in a way that could almost be translated as laughter, backing up towards the edge of the rocky staircase, realizing that the scent would lead them into the valley, meaning they'd need to take the thin, winding pathway, hidden behind the base of Moon Shadow Peak. Taking another brief moment to check the air for any other more sinister scents, he relaxed a little, only filled with the earthy scent of the forest, a few nesting birds, insignificant herbivores and of course, their prize moose. He could only assume it was elderly or injured, having been left behind from its herd. Perfect.
Beginning the descent down the rocks, Sam leapt from one to the next, beginning to feel adrenaline course through his veins, a little unsettled by how good this felt. Of course there were risks and worries but... what was so bad at relaxing just for a night? He could do this.
He just... had... to stop... thinking.

Lu chuckled as she flew down the rocky slope gracefully and at lightning speed. WHOOOO!!!!!! She thought to Sam. As the scent grew stronger, she grew faster, though if you hadn't seen it, you might not believe that she could get any faster, but her legs moved in a blur, almost invisable. She growled happily at the chance to stretch her legs. Expertly winding through the trees, she followed the scent perfectly. When the moose came into view, she could see it had a limp. Beautiful, she thought happily. She hid in the treeline and waited for Sam to catch up. She chuckled darkly to herself. Tensing her muscles, she moved to the closest point she could while still being covered by the trees. She readied herself to attack.

Watching the fae speed ahead, at what felt like it should be an unnatural speed, Sam strained to even fall into stride with her, the intense burn in his muscles screaming that he certainly couldn't keep this up for long.
Thankfully, the moose's scent became enough to rush to his head - and rumbling stomach, thanks to not remembering to eat before leaving - and they both slowed, allowing Sam to take a moment to take in the moose's limp and sluggish, drooping appearance. Most likely a strained or torn ligament in the front right leg, giving it no real ability to charge, but still just enough strength to buck, so they'd need to be wary of that.
Watching her dart into the undergrowth, he moved silently into the bushes on the other side of the moose, allowing them to completely the pincer formation; he assumed that Lu would attack from one side, allowing him to jump on its back, or dive under and slash at its stomach. Both were risky moves, risking a fatal throw or trample, but he had faith that they'd be able to handle it. Or rather, Lu would be able to handle it.
Sighing quietly, Sam crouched down, waiting to move on Lu's command.

Grinning evilly Lu crouched and went for the wind pipe. She released a fierce growl as she bounded out of the shadows and used her incredibly powerful jaws to chomp down on the weak moose's air pipe right below the head. The moose kicked and thrashed but came to a stop immediately, as it had no air to continue. The moose let out a gurgling noise and Lu heard a whistle as it tried to breathe. As the moose slowly sank to the ground, Lu still didn't let go. It took three minutes for the animal to die. Two had passed. She clenched down harder and then released, watching the animal's life drain out of it's eyes. She layed in front of it to look it in the eyes and gain it's permission to proceed. It looked her in the eyes and nodded one solemn nod, giving its permission. Lu nodded back and the animal closed it eyes and stopped breathing...it was gone. She looked at Sam to see what he would think. Surely, he had not seen anything like the way she hunted before. Savage, yet also respectful and heart-warming. She stood up and smirked. I have a heart, after all, she said sarcastically.
