What a boring evening.
It was a Friday evening, and Nathan Auduss had little better to do with his time, than to stand down in the laundry room of his apartment complex, washing and folding a basket full of clothes, as well as thundering his way through a carton of smokes. He was pretty sure that as long as no-one opened the door, he could have filled the room with smoke by the time he was done, and was - out of sheer boredom - beginning to see it as something of a challenge.
Setting another load on to wash, he slid down against the machine, sitting up against it as he lit up once more, beginning to severely regret his seat of choice as the machine began to vibrate, a very displeased look crossing his features.
It could be worse, he supposed. Whereas it was boring and mundane, at least he could take a day to himself, and try and pretend he was a normal human being, with no secret weaponry stash in his apartment, nor a pressing killing order on a local werewolf. Today, he was just some guy doing his laundry.
And possibly creating a very large smoke cloud.

The girl helped carry down a load of clothes with her human friend, Lydia. "Thanks for helping me, Niyah" Lydia said and Saniyah made a sly smile saying "What are friends for?" Stopping she opened the door and then stepped back coughing as a bunch of cigarett smoke came out. Lydia walked inside like it was nothing. But Saniyah on the other hand frowned and wriggled her nose and then sighed walking in after Lydia. Spotting the male human that was smoking she rolled her eyes setting the basket of clothes down saying "Could you put that out?....We'd be washing clothes for no reason if they're gonna smell like smoke when folded back up" Her voice was surprisingly soft as always so you couldn't really tell if she was serious.
She took some clothes stuffing them inside the washer as Lydia added some coins to the machine. The black rat snake moved uncomfortably under her black hoody and she patted her shoulder slightly to calm her pet. "Not enough quarters...I'll be back" Lydia said and left out the room. 'Great' she thought and looked toward a tv in the corner before pulling out a couple quarters she had in her pocket. The snake shifted again and Saniyah slightly smirked. She wasn't happy to be left alone. Even with an unknown man who for some reason gave her squirmy feeling.

Upon seeing the two girls enter, Nathan huddled into his thick, dark grey hoodie, puffing nervously on his cigarette, hoping to God they just left him to his business. As... environmentally damaging as it was. But sadly, such luck hadn't befallen him today. They just had to talk to him, didn't they?
Damn you lady luck.
Glancing up as he was spoken to, softly, albeit in a way that could only be called a lecture, Nathan scowled, a little irritated that he was being reprimanded by a kid. If it had been someone of his own age, sure, he would have just bowed his head back down and put that cigarette out, quick as a wink, but no, not this time. He was a hunter, damnit. Not a wimp.
That, sadly, didn't make talking back any easier.
"I-I'm a paying resident here, unless there is a no smoking sign, I can smoke where I like. A-and I don't... believe there to be one... here..." His originally strong, self-righteous little speech trailed off into a mumble, the cigarette already out of his mouth and halfway to the concrete floor below him.
Rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, Nathan glanced up again after the girl's apparent friend left the room, severely tempted to light up again just to annoy her. But that would be childish, so very childish. He supposed he might feel a little guilty for irritating her. Maybe.
"Eh... I-I'm sorry, that was... rude of me."
Strained, very strained. But at least he'd made an effort.
"I... haven't seen you around here before... A-are you new?"

"I-I'm a paying resident here, unless there is a no smoking sign, I can smoke where I like. A-and I don't... believe there to be one... here..." she heard the human say and she slightly gave a 'puppyish' werewolf growl. But then bit her tongue to stop herself. She was already irritated enough because of the cigarette smell. It somewhat burned her nose due to her high sense of smell. Rolling her eyes she turned and slid the few quarters into the washer before starting it and then sighed hearing Lydia come back in saying "Hey my mom wants me to run to the store. When the clothes are done can you take them back up?" Nodding Saniyah waved her hand to her and the human girl went back out.
Shaking her head slowly mumbling "The things I do for my hu...." she caught herself before she completed the word. Taking in a breath her brown eyes went back to the male as he seemed to somewhat apologize and the girl shrugged her shoulders and felt her pet snake, Naga poke her head out of hoodie and look around. Smirking she reached up gently touching the snake over the head and then heard "I... haven't seen you around here before... A-are you new?"
"Hardly...I just come over here to my friend's place when I have nothing else to do. I stay over in Manuc's with my...." she thought for a moment "New family" she finished because really she did have a new family. Her parents, brother and one of her sisters were dead now. Each by a werewolf hunter. Closing her eyes she looked down at the floor tapping her nails that somewhat started sharpen. Breathing in she forced herself to look toward the tv which had now started on the news. Apparently some man had gone missing.

Shying away from her abrasive tone and body language, Nathan heaved a sigh of defeat, reaching into his pocket for another cigarette, pretty much throwing caution to the wind. She seemed like an awfully moody young woman, so what difference would it make if he made her mad?
Casting a distasteful glance towards her as he dug in his pocket for a lighter, he froze complete as his gaze fell upon her hand, watching the nails lengthen a little, thicken to a waxy state and narrow to a sharp, claw like tip at the ends. No... surely...
She couldn't be. He would have known the minute she'd walked through the door. He was a hunter, for God's sake. But it was beginning to make sense a little. Her odd words seemed like nothing before, but now... He knew full well he had little to base his suspicions on now, but he wasn't about to let his strong instinct lie. He'd have to watch this one, and carefully.
His previous nervous demeanour completely faded, a strange steely calm now exuded from the man, sitting bolt upright against the machine, slowly becoming aware that it had stopped vibrating, drawing up to his full height to open it. He towered over the girl, giving her a brief, hard look. Memorizing her.
Turning away again, he began to load his laundry back into the basket, sending a puff of smoke out of the corner of his mouth.
"New family, huh..."
His words were little more than a murmur now, folding and placing with careful precision and frightening speed. His mind was racing now. What weapon to use, when to do it. How long to track for...
Finishing up, he walked swiftly to the door, turning on heel for a moment to look back at the girl.
"I'm Nathan. What's your name?"

A slight smirk appeared on her face as she saw the male shy away. 'Kinda what any human like you do' she thought. Her eyes watched him as he froze from going into his pocket and she remembered her nails and made a fist tucking her hand into her hoody and looked away. The atmosphere surrounding the human seemed to change and she tensed for her own self seeing him stand up but she quickly relaxed again seeing the male load his laundry into his basket. Her eyes went back to the television as he said "New family, huh..." Niyah breathed out saying "Yea...most of my family was...murdered" Her eyes drifted to the floor. She missed them dearly and the only thing she had to remember them was pictures before they were killed. Pictures were the only thing she had of the werewolves she met while being alongside a hunter for two years unable to help the wolves she tracked down for him like some bloodhound.
Blinking she felt her throat tighten and then she looked up from the floor seeing the man go to the door and say that his name was Nathan and ask for hers. Something was not right about the situation but she couldn't quite tell. "My new famliy just calls me Niyah" she answered a tad bit suspicious and then heard the washer stop. She turned getting the clothes out and putting them in the dryer and put out a few coins she still had and put them in and started the dryer up before looking back toward Nathan. Her snake, Naga repositioned it's self from her neck to the washer lid now showing its full body

A strange looked passed over Nathan's face upon hearing her words, feeling his stomach drop for a moment, swallowing to try and clear the lump from his throat. Murdered. If his hunch was right...
Well, he never could know. He'd killed so many werewolves now, he shouldn't dwell on how many families he'd ripped apart, how many orphans he'd made. It would just drive him insane to think too much about it.
Blinking as he was shaken from his thoughts, he glanced back up once more, offering a very fake, but calm smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. Anyway, I should really get this upstairs. Sorry to bother you with my smoke."
Not that he meant it, much. It was, somewhat of a pleasure to meet the girl, and whether she knew it or not, it certainly wasn't the last time they'd see eachother. He could never be too careful, and when his instinct was screaming at him this much that something wasn't quite right, he had to follow it.
Wandering out into the hallway with his basket of washing, he began the journey up the two flights of stairs to his third floor apartment, blissfully unaware that he'd left his silver, engraved lighter lying on top of the washer, completely focused on the tasks that lay before him this evening.
Tonight, he'd be going on a hunt.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Anyway, I should really get this upstairs. Sorry to bother you with my smoke." she heard him say and she nodded calmly to him her attention going back to the television as he left out with his basket of clothes. Eventually something shiny caught her eye and she walked to the washer Nathan has been at and noticed he had left his lighter.
Sticking her hand out to pick it up something in the back of her mind screamed for her not to. Blinking she grabbed some paper towels and went back covering the lighter before picking and wrapping it up. She didn't quite no why but something was about to happen...and soon. 'I'd better stay near the in Bucharest for the night' she thought stuffing the lighter in the pockets of her baggy shorts she walked back to the dryer and put her friend, Lydia's clothes in the basket and picked them up and started to walk out as her pet snake slithered inside her hoody.
