He had a point on that. Her mother was the type of person, well werewolf, that didn't quite like werewolf hunters. No matter how they hunted, or if they only hunted criminal werewolves. Her mother would have a cow. Literally! "She'd like you eventually, Sweetheart." she said, moving closer to him. To her, Blayde was really comfortable and she enjoyed being around him to the point she hardly wanted to be away from him.
When he said that he was all ears, she smiled at him shyly. Looking down at her hands, Azuki sighed and took a deep breath. "Well, when I was younger my father died, he was killed by a hunter. At first, my mother told me that he left us, and didn't care at all about me or her. I believed her, since I was like only five, but once I started to grow up. She kept me in the house more often, and I couldn't register why she was doing it. Then a man came up to my room, spoke to me about my father and how he loved me but was killed." she said, pausing a bit. She didn't look up at him. Didn't want to.
"I turned sixteen then and she let me out of the house. I met this boy who was a human, but I didn't know that his father was a werewolf hunter. We were friends for a year then he met my mom and his father found out. My mom was already sick with an illness and I couldn't help her when he stormed into my home." she said, trying to hide the tears that she was fighting. "He shot my mother, and she told me to run but I was frozen with fear. And by the time I went to move, the boys father had aimed his gun at me and tried shooting me. But the boy got in front of the bullet, and instead of me dying. He did." she paused and took a deep breath and when she let it out, she shook slightly. "Probably is, I liked the boy and when I took off to run. The father shot again and well, that's how I got the scar. And how I joined Eclipse's pack. It's hard living without my mother, but I can't take back the past.. It's was so scared for you to find out, for you to even touch me at first. But now.. I don't mind.

"I think your mother didn't want you to know your father was killed, because she didn't want you to be scared." he offered, resting his head against her. "I probably would have jumped in front of the gun too. I don't understand when hunters kill every werewolf they see. It just makes them barbaric."
He wrapped his arms around her and gave her a squeeze, pressing his lips against the top of her head. "Well I did find out and nothing bad happened to you. In fact, I saved you. You are alive, cared for, and I like to think that you're happy. he twirled a finger through her hair. "You're a tough girl that's been through a lot. Don't beat yourself up over the past."

Just thinking about Blayde being the boy that had jumped in front of the bullet made her shiver with fear of losing him. When she felt a squeeze from him and his lips on the top of her head, Azuki couldn't help but squeeze him back. "I don't think I would've run away if it had been you dying on my floor Blayde. Knowing me, I would've attacked him instead." she said, looking up to him. He meant so much to her within the few days they had gotten to know each other and losing him...would not be the same as losing the boy that day.
Azuki smiled at him, "And I thank you for saving me multiple times love." she said, leaning up kissing him softly. "Plus with you, I am happy. And I won't need the past with you here." she whispered against his lips before kissing him again.

"You don't have to worry about the past. I left mine, and live in the present. My aunt used to tell me 'Remember the past, plan for the future, but live for today, because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come'. he leaned forward into her lingering lips, inhaling the scent of her shampoo and tasting her tongue. He was always cautious with how he touched her, always aware of possible boundaries. She was strong, and he at first didn't want to alarm the shy young girl he met by the bridge. Now that they were close and her shyness was dissipating, a fear of breaking her walls too soon had grown.

Azuki smiled into their kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. She kissed him. Feeling his lips against hers and the smell of his scent wrapping around her. Was intoxicating to her and made her dizzy multiple times within the day. She just loved it. "Your aunt seemed like a wise and smart woman to give you something like that." she whispered, having to catch her breath. There was just something about Blayde that she couldn't quite understand, and it made her more drawn to him than before.
When they first met, she was shy, and so was he to a point at least. That's what she had loved about him. And of course, him saving her from both a hunter and a werewolf. Smiling, Azuki started to mess with his hair with her fingers, leaning against him. She put her head on his chest and listened to his heart beat. It was soothing to her and Azuki, for once, really did feel happy.

The more intense Azuki became the more Blayde had to restrain himself. She had this strong affect on him, and he swore he was the one with the animal inside of him and not her."She is the only part of my past that I allow to be with me now." he responded against her lips, playfully leaning forward again to nibble on them.
His eyes were open and watching her from their closeness, the silver color bright despite the darkness. He laughed lightly when she mussed his hair, and wrapped his arms around her when she leaned against him. He ran his fingers through her hair, and realized his nightmares were completely forgotten.

Azuki smiled to herself and closed her eyes as she felt herself relax. She felt him playing with her hair and it soothed her deeply. "I'm glad you still have apart of your past with you. You can never forget the past but forgive it enough to move on in the present and to the future." she said, chuckling softly. IT was something she hadn't used that phrase in so long. She had nearly forgotten what it had meant. When her mother was still alive, she would always say that to Azuki. Always wanting her to be ready for anything to come and to forgive it later on in life.
Sighing softly, Azuki moved and looked up to Blayde. A small smile formed on her face, "Sometimes I wonder what it would've been like to still have my mother with me. If I was still living in that house with her." she whispered.

"Well you might not have met me." he offered, his expression changing slightly. It was difficult for him to answer that sentence, since he knew he probably wouldn't have met Azuki if her mother was still alive. It was selfish to think and he didn't like it. He simply wanted to make her happy now, but he knew he couldn't replace a parent. That was a role he could never fulfill, nor did he want to.
He rested his chin on top of her head, "You might not have met your pack, and there are many what ifs. I used to think what if I had stayed at home. What if I hadn't killed that werewolf. What if?"

Thinking of not meeting Blayde like she had, Azuki moved closer to him and closed her eyes. She looked up to him and kissed him again. He was right thought, what if she hadn't let the house that day. What if she hadn't befriended the human boy. What if? The list could go on and on. There were so many what if's and right now, Azuki was glad for the decision she had made. Azuki put a hand up to his cheek and gave him a soft smile, "I'm glad I met you. Thinking about not meeting you now, just wouldn't seem right." she said.
Slowly, she moved to sit on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck before settling down. Her head went to his shoulder and she smiled at how amazing it felt to be near him. "I'm also, very glad, that you came to Romania and ran into me that day instead of someone else. I mean, we would've met sooner or later but I'm still glad." she whispered.

They would have first met with her stuck in a hunters net, which might have been a different story altogether. It was a bit of a realization, a blow to his gut to think, but he quickly brushed it away.
She fit into his lap so well, it just felt like she was supposed to be there. "I don't think I could describe what meeting you has done for me. he said, head tilting slightly.

Azuki's cheeks flushed and she kissed his cheek before hugging him. He had changed her life completely, and not just mentally. Physically too. He had made it to where she was able to talk more, even though she was still shy to other people that Azuki hardly knew, she was willing to talk to him. Willing to be with him and be near him like no other. "I'm glad that I have been able to help you. I'll always be here for you, and love you for yourself." she said, intertwinning the fingers together.
Slowly, she brought of his hand to his lips and kissed it softly. She really did love him, and right now, she was completely happy because of it. "Thank you Blayde. For just being here for me, and helping me."

Blayde grew silent for a moment, but that was because he didn't know how to respond. He wasn't a mushy kind of guy, nor was he used to talking about this. He'd never fallen in love before as a kid. He'd dated casually, but that all ended when his parents split up. He was used to physical contact, but this emotional attachment to it was new.
"I guess we both help each other then." he finally said, leaning forward to press his lips to her forehead. "Sorry for making you worry earlier."

Azuki smiled and leaned towards him when she felt his lips against her forehead. It felt so nice to be held by him and she ran her fingers along his skin. She smiled at herself as she remembered the first day they had met. "I guess so. But we both needed the help and support." she said. A smile then formed on her face. He had said sorry, and she never. In a thousand years thought that she would hear that word coming from him. "Now look who is saying sorry." she chuckled at him and kissed his cheek. "Don't be sorry, Blayde. I'm going to worry about you even when you don't want me to."

He scoffed, realizing he was apologizing for something he had scolded her for earlier. He then laughed lightly, leaning back into the couch and bringing her with him as he rested his head against the back. He closed his tired eyes for a moment and sighed, " I find myself not wanting to go back to sleep though, not on my own at least. I feel much more at ease with you so close." he opened his eyes again. When he had moved in he was clear about taking the couch, mostly because he hadn't been in a serious relationship before and didn't want to move too fast. He was a little old fashioned.
"Will you stay with me for the rest of the night?

Going back with him, when he leaned back into the couch was something she hadn't expected, but nonetheless she was enjoying the feeling that it gave her. Azuki listened to him as he spoke of finding himself not want to go back to sleep and yet he felt much more at ease with her so close to him. It gave her something to look forward to and a smile spread on her lips. When he moved in and proclaimed the couch, Azuki hadn't argued with him and had gotten blankets and pillows for him to sleep with before she had headed to her own bed. But now, he was asking for her to stay with him for the rest of the night.
Her heart raced and Azuki had to take deep, slow breaths to calm it down. Nodding, Azuki moved so that she could look him in the eyes. "Of course I will stay with you Blayde. If me being here is keeping you at ease, then I'll stay." she said, kissing his cheek softly before getting up and disappearing into her room. Azuki came back with a blanket and some pillows. Dropping them on the floor, Azuki easily moved the coffee table out of the way before she settled down onto the ground next to the couch. Of course, Azuki was new to this other relationship thing and she didn't want to make Blayde uncomfortable. So, she thought that she'd just lay on the floor and make sure he was fine before she'd drift off to sleep herself.
