"Most shy girls wouldn't be able to take a stranger to lunch, or talk about themselves. Although you get a little clumsy, you're not stammering and turning red every five seconds." he explained, though saying she wasn't shy at all would be incorrect. So far she did get a little embarrassed, but she was acting quite normal. It wasn't a forced embarrassment either, which was nice. He'd met a lot of girls who tried hard to seem cute and meek.
Then they'd try to sink their claws into him. It wasn't a good feeling.
"Smart move. Two scent trails."

Azuki smiled at him. "Yea, I'm clumsy alright." she said, chuckling slightly. In human form, Azuki was clumsy shy and completely herself, but when she was thinking with her wolf mind. She wouldn't hesitate for a moment if she felt the need to attack. Probably was, now that she was talking to Blayde and was actually liking him, even if he is a werewolf hunter, Azuki would hesitate. She would stop and think. Even if he attacked her...she wouldn't attack back. Blinking, Azuki nodded. "I learned about it, well thought about it, the second time a werewolf came after me. It worked perfectly too." she said, smiling.

His brows creased. Second time? "How many times has a werewolf chased you?" there was alarm and concern in his voice. He knew that werewolves were found more often here, where legends and folklore seemed to grow from the very soil.
He couldn't stand the thought of the people living here being victimized by werewolves. It sent his blood into a boil, and the need to help surfaced as well. Despite his tough appearance, and dislike towards crowds, he seemed to want to protect people.

Azuki looked up at him when she heard the alarm and concern entering his voice. She hadn't met to alarm him, or even give him a reason to be concerned. Azuki shook her head, "More than once, but I'm fine. Really Blayde, I am." she said, giving him a reassuring smile. Of course, it wasn't entirely true. Azuki had been chased by other wolves because they only saw her as a play-toy, as a pup. But she had been chased by more hunters than anything.
Just the thought of hunters and them chasing her, made a shot of pain go up her side. Her hand went to her scar, the scar that had marked her memory for eternity. Telling her that some humans, couldn't be trusted. Azuki looked back up at Blayde, then moved her hand from her side. She had hoped he didn't see the movement of her hand from her side, she didn't want to let him know or even tell him how she got it. Azuki didn't want to lie to him again.

Blayde had noticed her hand, though his misplaced the reason for being chased by werewolves. He reached for her hand, giving it a comforting squeeze. "Well you aren't going to be chased by anybody anymore. You shouldn't have to worry about it at all." he stated, giving one of his confident smirks. His thumb traced small circles on the back of her hand, "I've been chased a few times myself. I didn't get into this business on a whim."

Azuki smiled at him and felt him take her hand before squeezing it. She smiled a bit more and somehow move a bit closer to him, feeling safe to be around him even if he was a hunter. Azuki enjoyed being around Blayde and it was nice for once. Azuki listened to him as he spoke and realized that she was feeling something on her hand. Looking down to their hands, she saw that his thumb was tracing small circles, and she smiled softly. It felt funny but at the same time, felt really nice. "Thank you Blayde. No one has ever tried to protect me like you did so I thank you." she said, watching their hands.

He pulled her close, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. It was an impulse, but hearing she hadn't ever been protected like this just pulled at him. He had a natural impulse to protect people, and she was starting to melt him. Not that he would openly admit it. He had just met the girl after all, but he felt that hugging her was the right thing to do.
"I had thought I would only be in this area for a short time, but you're starting to make me think I might be here for quite some time."

She wasn't expecting him to pull her close and hug her. It was shocking and completely...comfortable. Azuki hugged him in return and laid her head on his chest as she heard him speak. She moved back, but not far and gave him a soft but shy smile. "The only thing about this place that is dangerous. Are the wolves, otherwise it's peaceful." she said, wondering why she had just called her own family, own pack, dangerous. She shook her head slightly, and gave him a small push before she smiled at him again. "But, hey, that means I can show you around!" she added.

He grinned, "Sure, but for now." he released her, giving her hair a quick ruffle. He had a feeling that the werewolf he had just killed had a bounty on its head. If he did, that meant Blayde would be less pressed for money for a while and wouldn't be on the streets. Still, he had to get to an access point to receive payment as soon as possible. "I think it's best if we part for now." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small card. It had his information on it. Hunters sometimes carried business cards, so that people knew they were licensed and professional.

Azuki's smile brightened, even when he released her and gave her hair a quick ruffle. She chuckled slightly, and moved away fixing the mess of a hair he had caused. She had just finished when he handed her something. A card with his name and number. Azuki heard what he said, and slowly, she felt her smile fade as she nodded. "Okay. I guess I'll see you around sometime." she said, slipping the card in her pocket before she put her hood back up. "It was nice meeting you Blayde. I'll see you later." she said, giving him a soft smile before turning around and walking to her apartment. No, not apartment. It was time for a hunt.
