He chuckled at her protesting fist before placing a kiss on her forehead, "That depends. What's the pay? Do I get any benefits? Being your bodyguard has already proven to be a difficult job."
He was in a light mood, totally different than what he had been like when he left the hotel room that morning. He wasn't tired, despite his lack of sleep. It made him wonder if he would dream a good dream, or at least get a peaceful rest.

Azuki gave him a small chuckle. "What are you asking for in payment?" She asked, running her hands along his chest. She shrugged and knew he was speaking the truth. Azuki drew attention from to many people, from to many bad people. Especially, the werewolf that had showed up when she first met Blayde and he had saved her from the male. "I know. I draw in bad attention." She mumbled looking down at her hands on his chest. Oh what she would do if she hadn't met Blayde to begin with. If he hadn't been there, Azuki wouldn't be quite happy...or even alive at that matter. And surprisingly, Azuki was happy to find Blayde and have him in her life.

"That depends on what exactly you are willing to pay.." he waggled an eyebrow suggestively before laughing and giving a shake of his head. "I'm kidding. I would protect you for free, any day and any time." he took the hands that were running along his chest and gave them a gentle squeeze.
He didn't want this feeling to go away, and the sudden thought of her rejecting him brought worry to him. No one seemed to love him long; even his own parents hated him. He placed a kiss to her fingertips, "I don't think you draw bad attention. I don't really have the best of luck in that department either."

Azuki smiled at him, and watched him as he placed his lips on her fingertips. She smiled again at his squeeze and gave him a squeeze herself. "I'm glad to have someone like you." she whispered. She placed her lips on the palm of his hand, enjoying his touch. Enjoying being around him was making her happy, and for once, safe in someone's arms other than her own. Resting her head against his chest, she sighed softly.
Slowly, Azuki looked up at him and gave him a small smile. "Can you do me a favor, Blayde?" she asked. Azuki was afraid that if she asked the question he might leave her, but it was a risk she was willing to take. |

He wasn't sure what to make of what kind of person she thought he was, but from the fact that he was holding her in his arms still he knew it to be a good thing. He relaxed as she pressed her lips to his palm.
He tilted his head at her new question though, one brow raising in questioning. "Depends on the favor."

The way he had tilted his head at her and raised one brow, made her smile. Getting on her toes, Azuki kissed him softly, wrapping her arms around his neck slightly. Yes, she wanted a favor from him but Azuki didn't know how to ask him. After a while, Azuki moved away slightly and looked up at him. "I don't want this to change. This feeling that you give me..." she whispered, her arms still wrapped around his neck. "Promise you stay here..with me.." she added softly, getting shy again. |

He was quite happy to return the kiss she gave him, his hands going around her waist again as her locked around his neck. He was now sitting in the shallows, the water coming up to their waists. The sun bounced off of her wet hair, and he watched a few drops of water run down her skin before his eyes went back to hers.
He knew better than to have his eyes wandering while she spoke to him.
Her favor confused him a little, and his eyes glanced away for a moment before giving a nod. "I don't really have anywhere to go, Azuki. I left Germany for a reason, and don't plan on ever going back."

Azuki watched him for a moment, unsure if she had asked the wrong question. And she started to get nervous and feel like he would leave her, but when he nodded at her and told her that he wasn't going back to Germany, Azuki gave him a small smile before hugging him. "I know Blayde, its just. I'm not used to having someone that would be here for me." Even though she was in a pack, Azuki still seemed lonely, and abandoned at times but now. She honestly didn't. Azuki looked down at her hands as she placed them on his chest again. Smiling to herself. |

"I'm not used to it either. I know the feeling." He ran his hands up and down her arms in a comforting manner before brushing her hair behind her ear. Blayde didn't have anyone that tried to protect him. His aunt was the closest thing he had, and he hadn't seen her in years. There was the occasional phone call or letter, but that was the limit. He knew his aunt was probably afraid of him now that he was a hunter. His parents...just left a bitter feeling in his heart. They were probably happy he was out of their lives.

Azuki gave him one of her smiles and put her head on his chest. So, he knew the feeling, and it gave her a reassuring feeling and gave Blayde a small squeeze. She felt his hands go up and down her arms and she smiled shyly again. It felt so strange to be around him, to feel what she was feeling and actually love it. Looking over at his hands, Azuki took one of them into her hands and kissed it softly before she looked up to him and their eyes locked. "Then I want you to remember. I don't plano n going either, unless it's with you." she said, smiling up at him. |

He grinned at her, wiggling his fingers at her in a playful manner. "I like to think I'm rather unforgettable." He started, his tone turning arrogant before he leaned forward and kissed the tip of her nose. "I don't plan on taking you away from your pack though. You love this place too, and I think I'm growing fond of that bridge from the other day..."

Azuki chuckled at him and then wrinkled her nose at him when he kissed it. "Of course you are rather unforgettable. Plus, I wouldn't be able to forget you Blayde." she said, winking at him. He definitely was not going to be forgotten, it was one thing that had happened when she met him and then saw him today. Azuki had grown fond of him, real quick, and not just because he saved her from a werewolf and then a hunter. But because he hadn't freaked out on her and tried to kill her like that boys father had done.
Just the thought of the boy dying and the father killing her mother, brought back memories she didn't want to see any more. It was time for her to move on from the past and live in the present. Sighing, Azuki leaned against Blayde, "Thank you. For saying that and not taking me from here. This is my home and I hope that it will become your home to." |

"Of course. I only look grumpy and mean. I'm a total nice guy though." He ran a hand through his hair, and it quickly began to take back its usual style of sticking up to defy gravity.
To be honest he didn't have the money to leave town even if he wanted to. The bounty from the runaway werewolf from the other day had given him enough to eat and find a place to stay, but it wouldn't last long. He'd spent the money he didn't use on food and shelter on more bullets, which were rather expensive. They worked too well for him to not splurge. A weapon like that made the difference between life and death.
"As long as you understand I am still going to kill werewolves that hurt people. I hunt for runaway criminals. Not innocents."

Azuki gave him a nod. Yes he did look grumpy and mean, but when she got to know him. Actually got to know Blayde, he had become a nice guy that she was adoring dearly. "Yes, yes you are a nice guy. And I'm glad to have you." she said, "To have you as mine." she added softly. Hearing those words come from her lips, put a smile on her face and she moved closer to him.
She then looked up to him and nodded. Of course, she understood that he would do it, but then it occurred to her. "Blayde, why don't you stay with me? I mean you don't have to, but then you won't have to pay for anything and you can keep the money that you get form the criminals for yourself and such." she said, giving him a shy smile. Azuki would understand if he didn't want to but she thought it would help him a bit. |

He didn't hear her whisper, but nodded his head and happily pulled her closer as she moved towards him. He proceeded to simply sit her on his lap, stretching his legs out in the rivers bottom.
Her suggestion had him hesitating though. He didn't want to possibly spoil their budding relationship, and he didn't want her to witness his nightmares. On the other hand it would make life easier, and he had a feeling he'd be happy with azuki there every day. "Are you sure about that? It's a pretty big step you know."
