Now turning her attention to the small, silver digital alarm clock on her nightstand that seemed to be causing Will so much trouble, Peri observed it for a moment, genuinely baffled as to why the time could be causing him so much anguish. It was a Sunday, what could possibly be worrying him so much?
"Huh... so it is..."
Still seeming half asleep, Peri sank back down amongst the sheets and pillows, gazing up at Will with a confused, almost innocent look, that silently begged him to just snuggle back down and allow her the little bit more sleep that she pined for.
Slowly, as her brain began to start working again, it suddenly occurred to her that time normally related to events and appointments, so perhaps he was late for something? Ah well. Surely it couldn't be anything more important than cuddling with her for what remained of the morning.

Seeing that his desperation wasn't about to get any pity from the tired Peri, William managed a weak little sigh before gazing around to see if his clothes were in any close proximity to him.
Finding them a little too far flung for him to reach without his body giving a cry of protest, he flopped back against the pillows before turning to give Peri a little injured look.
"I-I wanted to try and get to work t-today"
He murmured, his voice a little on the sulky side.

Work? Work... oh, right. That must have been what he was late for... and pretty late by the looks of things.
"Oh!"
Peri exclaimed sleepily, simply happy in her dopey, half asleep state to understand the situation. So he was late for work... he was late for work. That wasn't good was it? Rousing herself a little, she straightened up, now looking a little bit more serious.
"Ah... um... I'm sorry?"
Her apology was a little weak, but sincere, now pulling a slight guilty face, trying not to look at how sad and hurt he looked. It wasn't her fault that he hadn't woken up... Mostly. She supposed she had rather worn him out the night before...
Despite it all, Peri couldn't help but smile a little at the thought. Still floating in a small bubble of happiness, she shifted a little on the bed to lay her head on his shoulder, trying to look as innocent as possible.
"I swear I didn't mean to make you late..."

William allowed himself to relax just a little as he felt Peri's soft head of hair on his shoulder. He flopped down further into the pillows and pulled the duvet up around him some. She was right; it hadn't been Peri's fault he was late for work. He should have set an alarm or...Or something...
He just hoped he could persuade the managers at the Mill that he'd come down with a cold or the flu... Or maybe that he'd had a bad change last night, if the right one answered the phone.
William wasn't sure where this little devious spark had come from, but he was rather more than certain it had come from the woman lying next to him.
"s-sorry...J-just...j-just startled me..."

Feeling him relax, Peri calmed a little herself, for a moment there being rather worried that they were going to be arguing so early on... Early on in what, though? She honestly wasn't sure. There had been no mention of a relationship, and yet she was fairly sure that Will wasn't exactly the type to have flings, or... two night stands. Rubbing the space between her eyes at the thought, as if to ease it, she realized the nervous tick, and quickly moved to rubbing her eyes to remove any stray sleep from them.
She was far to animated with her own emotions for her own good... Sitting up properly now, she leant over the side of the bed, having a small rummage around, before producing a small, not particularly recent mobile phone, peering at it to make sure it still had battery before proffering it to him.
"Do you need to call in, or do you think you can still make it...?"
The last part of the sentence positively dripped with a weakness that really, in other words meant 'You know full well you're not gonna try, over my dead body...'. Well, maybe she was a little possessive. Just a little. It wasn't her fault. He was the one who had made her feel this way, and she wasn't quite ready just yet to let him wander off out of her life again yet.
She guessed she was just worried he might not return.

He smiled hesitantly and took the phone from her, blinking down at the old model for a second.
"erm...I-I probably r-really should just...T-to make sure they know.."
He motioned to the door before placing the phone down carefully on the duvet and moving slowly to find his boxers. He'd just make a quick call to the Mill, mention he was ill and then...what? Spend the rest of the day in bed with Peri? He rather liked this idea.
"I-I'll only be a minute"

Peri nodded, if not a tad hesitantly, remembering that this was the very person who had a penchant for making mad dashes to the front door at the drop of the hat, whether he was just dressed in boxers or not. Sighing heavily, she chose to trust him - a laborious task for her mind, even now - and scanned the room, mouth contorting into a small frown. She really did need to clean up today, badly.
And her living room was still... her living room, which was always going to be an issue. Peri brought her knees up to her chest and allowed herself a moment to think everything through. So... Will was going to phone in sick, and then...? Go home? Stay with her...? Peri couldn't help but smile broadly. She liked that idea. Although, that certainly wasn't the type of thing a person who had just had a two night stand would do... Unless they were aiming for a third. And a fourth. Perhaps that would be what she would think of this as. An infinite night stand. Maybe not quite a relationship, but not quite a meaningless fling. Like friends with benefits, but without the... awkward label.
Perhaps this would work out quite nicely... Opening the draw of her bedside table, she pulled out a hairbrush, at least wanting to look slightly presentable by the time he returned. Although, being that her hair was a mess already, this would be easier said than done...

Boxers in place and feeling rather chilly now that he was out of the warm confines of duvet and bed, William made his slow way into the living room. Gazing around at the slowly growing mess of the past few nights, William couldn't help but smile just slightly; he would never think of leaving his apartment in such a state, given how particular he was about cleaning and tidying. How was it that Peri and he managed to be such polar opposites and yet still... Don't get ahead of yourself William, it's only been two nights..
Shaking the musing from his head, he quickly began to dial the Steel Mill's office number. hoping that someone understanding would pick up; maybe even a fellow werewolf. Although he doubted that would make life much easier.
Remembering just in time to fake his supposed little illness, he managed a brief, few minutes conversation, stating that he thought he was coming down with a swift bug, and he would try and make it in tomorrow.
Another free day thus achieved, William switched the phone off and padded back to the bedroom, musing at how unlike him that had been.

In the time that Will had been gone, Peri had immersed herself in trying to keep herself busy to try and not over think the possibilities here. Was he coming back? Was he staying? Did he want to? What was this? Thinking that she would probably drive herself insane with all these thoughts, she hopped out of bed quickly, busying herself with attempting to tidy up her room just a little. Having managed to pick up the clothes from the floor and chuck them into a laundry basket, as well as neaten the bed - as well as her own bed hair - she settled back onto the bed, arranging the duvet so that she was at least covered somewhat modestly.
Perhaps she should have gotten dressed... Then again, being a wolf at heart, clothing wasn't something she always put at the top of her list of priorities. Looking up as he came back, a small section of her worries floating away, she smiled hopefully, but nervously, hoping that she hadn't got him in trouble... But mostly that he wasn't just back to collect his clothes.
"Did it... go okay?"

William switched off the phone and glanced up at Peri's question, surprised to find her rather more neatly groomed than when he had left her just a few minutes previously. The room too looked...nicer, than it had done. Had Peri been cleaning up for him? He nodded, smiling slightly at the thought.
"I-I have a bug...a-apparently"
He couldn't help but feel a small twinge of guilt at the lie; he'd done so much already in the past few years, he didn't like to spend his time doing it. But then, said the little warm glow in his head, Peri was more than certainly worth it.
Putting the mobile lightly down on the bedside table, he climbed back into bed with her, running another hand through his hair to brush it away from his eyes as he lay back.

Grinning devilishly at his excuse, Peri giggled a little, raising an eyebrow at him in mock surprise. Leaning back against the pillows as he climbed back into bed next to her, she tilted her head to one side, observing his mix of guilt and happiness with a fond smile.
"A bug, you say? Haha... How naughty of you~"
She teased, unable to keep up the reprimanding façade for long, moving across the bed to straddle his lap, sitting up to face him with a grin, gently placing her hands on his shoulders to steady herself.
"So, I assume that if you're so poorly with this bug, then you're going to need to stay in bed all day..."
Yes, that seemed like a brilliant idea. They could spend all day here, in the warm, cosy confines of her bed, with Peri... nursing him back to health. Of course. It suddenly occurred to her that she might even have a nurse outfit lying around somewhere...
What could she say? She was adventurous.

feeling the warm weight of Peri perched on his lap, William felt the familiar blush crept into his face. A blush that only heightened at her words... This did indeed sound like a very tempting offer. And he felt he should at least try and play along. Even if his stammer was going to take away and mystique and playfulness of the setting.
"I-It looks l-like that...might be the case"
he smiled back. Well, at least he was trying. And a day in bed with Peri seemed like a very, very wonderful prospect at the moment.

Grinning at his adorable attempt, Peri's eyes glinted devilishly, appearing the crimson that they were naturally in her wolf form, leaning in to plant a quick, soft kiss on his lips, keeping her body close to his, making it rather obvious she had certain ideas... Until a very obvious rumbling broke the silence, a look of mortified horror crossing Peri's features, suddenly realizing how hungry she was.
To be fair, she hadn't eaten anything but a handful of doritos the night before, having skipped dinner due to work and... drinking. Oh dear. Having quite thoroughly ruined her lustful mood, she sat back, looking quite disappointed. Perhaps she'd need to see to some breakfast... Did she even have any food in the house? Rubbing the back of her neck - one of her few nervous ticks that she'd developed in her late teens - she frowned, not particularly wanting to get up, get dressed and go to the grocery store. Her stomach gurgled in protest at this thought, confirming the fact that she really did need to eat before she started gnawing on the bed frame...
"Uh... are you hungry at all?"

This was sudden and unexpected, but welcomed wholeheartedly by William, why was about to make a spirited attempt to pull himself back into the mood when Peri suddenly withdrew, stomach growling loudly.
He found himself having to bite his lip to stop himself from giggling at the sight of a bashful Peri.
And now that she mentioned it, William became aware that yes, yes he was indeed hungry. Having only drunken tea and coffee for the past few days, and caught himself a small rabbit in the hour or so after Peri had left him in the forest, he wasn't surprised when his own stomach gave a little pang in return to Peri's.
"erm...w-well now that you mention it..."
He thought back to the state of Peri's kitchenette and living room, finding it rather hard to believe that they'd find anything edible stashed away there. Drinkable maybe, but probably not edible.

Sitting back on her haunches, Peri thought to herself for a moment, thinking roughly along the same lines as Will; if only they'd been hungry as opposed to thirsty. Giving this some serious thought, an idea suddenly burst into her head, allowing her eyes to light up with a smile.
"You know... we never got to spend much time together properly as wolves... Maybe... we could hunt together?"
She approached the question carefully, lacing her fingers together nervously in case she got shot down. To her, the idea sounded wonderful, the thought that they could get to know eachother as wolves, a form that she found much easier to be in, all in all. She was almost certain that they would bond a lot easier doing this, as well... Not to mention, this time, she'd make sure to bring clothes for the both of them.
